I know a fury warrior that pops EVERYTHING! , deathwish, recklessness, you name it, it gets used..
His excuse for using everything is "it's there to be used".

Yeah, because obviously your cooldowns are to never be used.

No one cares if you win a duel anyways.
Right here is the kind of thing that annoys me about WoW PvP. These people are the ones in BGs everyday calling everyone else bad while managing to say it's only a game and that you're a loser for taking it seriously.
Because, let me explain something to you. Duels matter. Knowing how to play the game 1v1 -matters-. At least in the sense that anything matters in WoW. Knowing how to abuse LoS to the max, how to exploit the weaknesses of a class 1v1 and knowing how to have a chance of beating your counter are important from everything to bragging rights in Durotar to 2600 3v3 matches.
This is why people expect certain conduct in duels. You don't learn anything from a warlock who uses an infernal and beats you or a paladin who Lays on Hands through your cooldowns. Yeah, if you beat them anyways, great. But if you beat them anyways, they're obviously terrible.
Lastly, why don't you just... You know... Go somewhere else with your worthless remarks, alrighty?
You obviously didn't bother reading the post I was replying to. The argument revolved around the premise that other people only wouldn't care if you can win duels with cool downs. No. No one else cares regardless of what you do.
Now lets address your argument. If the purpose of duels is to figure out how to play your class, the NO ONE ELSE WILL CARE EITHER. It's a completely personal endevour and depends completely on
your
skill at
your
class.
I don't know why you even brought of LoH or even duel rules in your post, because that obviously has nothing to do with my post. I'd suggest working on reading comprehension and communication skills.

Winning duels without them is normal. Winning duels with them means you suck.
What class do you play and whats your knowledge on other classes, if i may ask?

only relevant parties care
How is that any different that what I said? Oh wait, it's not.

Duel etiquette is for cowards who make homemade rules to give them an advantage.
That being said, common duel etiquette are:
1) Self-buffed only
2) No consumable
3) Start fight at 40 yard distance of each others
4) Let the druid/rogue stealth

It feels good to defeat another players in a duel. (A few times in a row actually)
You know you are better then they are, you know you could beat them again and again.
So yeah, there is nothing wrong with it if the game makes you feel good, that's the whole purpose of paying for it.
But I also agree with people that say "dude, calm down, its just a game". A game can make you happy or it can get you upset - absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, if those "feelings" affect your social life in a bad way, then you are taking it too serious. (I'm talking about cocky people and sore losers)

Duel Etiqutee is whatever you want, i HATE the people who QQ cuz you used alot of cooldowns in a duel. I mean you have the skill, why not use it.
Sure, ill also follow rules if we set them up, like others have said, Arena rules, World pvp rules, whatever.
Personally I love the challenge of trying to figure a way to counter other classes big cooldowns it help me become a better player imo.

How is that any different that what I said? Oh wait, it's not.except that there are plenty of times when duels have x people observing them that do in fact care
a good rule of thumb is blanket statements like yours are generally incorrect
He's alliance, they don't understand duels =p. At least on my server, if you go outside SW or IF it's completely dead, while Durotar is packed. All of the regulars in Durotar know each other, and so sometimes beating someone else in a duel is a big thing.
You're on the wrong server. If you go to a decently Alliance populated PvP server (rare, huh), there'll be plenty of duels, and regulars. On my old PvP server, they'd never fight outside IF, they'd fight outside the bank using the 'behind the pillar' trick. Plenty of visiblity.
