Depends on the Church: If it's something like the CotL, then probably not. If it's something they come up with for themselves, could definitely see it. Gnomes feel strongly about things; their homelands, their people, their inventions, and stopping evil; wouldn't be that hard to see a group of Light using Warriors appear to fight... kinda of like another group....

I thought I would never return to this thread but I just couldn't resist
Forsaken healer = priest = can heals only with light --> similar to paladins who also heal with light => can become paladinsSo.... Troll Paladins, Orc Paladins, Gnome Paladins, Night Elf Paladins, Worgen Paladins are all forth coming in that vein of thinking.
I did a lot of thinking about those other races you mentioned, and I could come up with this
1 - Most Forsaken are former Humans or High Elves who wielded the light
2 - Even in undeath, they can still wield the light as proved
here
and
here
.
About those other races:
1 - Orcs don't have Priests, do not wield the light in any form, so they cannot be Paladins.
2 - I also think there can exist Gnome Paladins as they have been allies of Humans and Dwarves for so long and now that they have priests. Why not Paladins? In all these years they could have learned the art of being Paladins from their allies by now.
Also don't give me reason like Gnomes don't have faith. being Paladin doesn't require faith. the Blood Elves have already proved that. Also Goblins Shamans don't have faith either. And please
don't link me that 'elementals are also customers' post
. Why would elementals be customers when they have devoted Shamans like Orcs , Tauren, Trolls and many more races.
(But I don't have problems with Goblin Shamans. Its not totally far-fetched like Human Shamans or Blood Elf Shamans. Tauren Paladins seems to be far-fetched too but Blizzard has provided lore for it)
Also Gnomes have Priests which I believe requires even greater faith. Don't tell me
'Gnomish faith is new. It takes time.'
So is Tauren's new sun faith. But they get to become both Priests and Paladins.
3 - Also Worgen Paladins should be available as well. They're Humans anyway. Blizzard still hasn't explained whether the Worgen curse prevents them from using light or not.
4- All other races which have Priests, I believe, do not worship the light. The light spells they use seem to be only a game mechanic which was believed to be the same for the Forsaken but Blizzard has clearly mentioned that the Forsaken do wield the light,
here
. Hence no Night Elf, Troll and Goblin Paladins.
Paladins were created to destroy the Undead/Unclean monsters.
If the Forsaken end up with the Paladin class, it's a Lorehole as they are using the very thing designed to destroy them; every single Paladin spell does more damage to an undead mob then it does to a regular one; so it's not just calling on the Light that can burn at the Forsaken soul, they are calling on powers designed to tear their bodies apart.
1 - In WoW, Paladins weren't created to destroy Undead. They were made to destroy Orcs during the Second War.
And I'm not sure how true this is, since i haven't played any games or read any novels which were released before Warcraft 3, but I beleieve the Orcs were just Orcs before WC3. It was only slightly before WC3, they said that the Orcs in preceding gamed demonically tainted. I repeat I may be wrong here.
2 - I believe that powers like Fire, Frost, Arcane, Shadow, Fel etc can tear mortal bodies apart but mortals in Azeroth do that on a daily basis.

You know, I'd respond to you Neo... but I won't; I don't agree with your views, you don't agree with mine, and Blizzard is silent on the topic beyond saying that with Willpower, the Forsaken can use the Light.... even though it still injures them. Let it drop man, we're not coming to an agreement on this.

Zabra Hexx, mentioned in the thread, and hasn't been seen since, though he was used for the T9 Horde priest gear.

aha, mentioned by yourself i see :D. got buried a bit there.
i hope Hexx doesnt get left in the large sea of lore Blizz has floating around. He does have his own action figure <3
Given the nature of how things went, iam sure they have something planned for him.

I would more call it a re-discovering of an old philosophy. A blue poster alluding to a book in Thunder Bluff, that's been sitting there since Vanilla, that describes the Earthmother's second eye and its purposes. Though it's not entirely direct, it's there.

Yeah, right now humans haven't shown a link with the elements like the one the orcs or draenei (through the Broken) have but it doesn't mean that the link doesn't exist or that they cannot make such a link.

Still, the chance of the Humans or Blood Elves picking it up are the lowest sides of scales.... because of what they are. I think you'll see Gnome and Forsaken Shaman before those two.

Yeah I know. But doesn't mean a group of individuals in the humans or blood elves can't decide to work with the Elements and train others in the ways of shamanism. After all, see what Nobundo did: he was a Broken and brought with him, after returning to Draenei society, a whole new concept and the other Draenei wouldn't hear him; but he was backed up by Velen and was able to train other Draenei into becoming shamans.
The chances of having Human or Blood elves shamans are low, but it isn't impossible for them to become shamans.

Perhaps... and there are a few 'shamanesque' Cultist Humans out there heh.
