so the entire Forsaken Paladin group would be in intense and mind numbing pain every single time they cast a spell, as their bodies fell like they are constantly being ripped apart and burned from the inside out.
when there is already a group of Forsaken priests who feel that way, I don't understand why there can't be a Forsaken paladin group like that.
The Forsaken, for the most part, HATE the Light; why do you think they created an entire group called 'Light Slayers'?
um, I'll use an analogy here, since the Taliban is bunch of 'Western society and Christianity haters', does that make all Muslims like that?
Edit: Also.. your about 3 months behind on that info. It's been floating around the forums for a while, and most of us here in Lore and RP already know about it.
No, I've read it the very day it was posted, I just never got an opportunity to post it in a relevant topic.

I'm betting 95% of the Forsaken Priests are all Cult of the Shadow members, and see that 5% who continue to use the Light as freaks and even emo compared to them.

Why use your enemies weapon?

oh please you are not providing any proofs for your arguments, 95% shadow priests, any proof? Don't use enemy's weapon, any proof again? You are just trying to deny because you just want to deny.
I on the other hand provided proof why forsaken can be paladins,
while you didn't prove why they cannot

Um, you haven't proven anything either Scorp, that's just your own opinion on it. Blizzard explains about the Holy Light only... not about how a group of Paladins would rise up out of the Forsaken, when they have been attacked by Paladins(Alliance and Scarlet's) since their creation. Again, you have no more proof then I do, so please don't act like your opinions are facts, I don't either. When I said the 95%, read the article on the Cult of Shadow; most of the Forsaken race are members of it, whether they are priests or not.
Again: Forsaken Undead Paladins = Lorehole.

What I have proved is that Blizzard, itself, confirmed that Forsaken can wield the light, which means that some Forsaken priests can and do use the light, which means Forsaken paladins can exist.
I will quote it again: For the
undead (and Forsaken)
, this
requires such a great deal of willpower
that it is exceedingly rare, especially since it is self-destructive.
When undead channel the Light
, it feels (to them) as if their entire bodies are being consumed in righteous fire. Forsaken healed by the Light (
whether the healer is Forsaken or not
)
just reading the bold text will prove that Forsaken can and sometimes even do wield the light!
.....When undead channel the Light.....
.....undead channel the Light......
.....undead.......Light......
......whether the healer is Forsaken or not......
......healer is Forsaken......
......healer.......Forsaken......
Forsaken healer = priest = can heals only with light --> similar to paladins who also heal with light => can become paladins
Forsaken healer =/= druid/shaman (don't ask why, coz thats a lore loophole, gilnean human druids are bad enough, (but wowwiki does say that there are human druids))
/end argument, this will be my last point here, i don't have any more patience to argue, when clear proof is being slapped right on the face

Forsaken healer = priest = can heals only with light --> similar to paladins who also heal with light => can become paladinsSo.... Troll Paladins, Orc Paladins, Gnome Paladins, Night Elf Paladins, Worgen Paladins are all forth coming in that vein of thinking. Just because they use the Light, doesn't mean they will get Paladins... because again(and because you like the Bold)
Paladins were created to destroy the Undead/Unclean monsters.
If the Forsaken end up with the Paladin class, it's a Lorehole as they are using the very thing designed to destroy them; every single Paladin spell does more damage to an undead mob then it does to a regular one; so it's not just calling on the Light that can burn at the Forsaken soul, they are calling on powers designed to tear their bodies apart.
/end argument, this will be my last point here, i don't have any more patience to argue, when clear proof is being slapped right on the faceExcept it's not; it's just proof they can use the Light, not that they can be Paladins.
I did... so the entire Forsaken Paladin group would be in intense and mind numbing pain every single time they cast a spell, as their bodies fell like they are constantly being ripped apart and burned from the inside out.
The Priests already do. The Cult of the Forgotten Shadow wields both Shadow and Light, in spite of only worshipping the former and the latter causing them great pain. The same can be applied in Paladin concept.
Lore wise, I'm betting more Priests use a shadow ability then a Holy one when it comes to healing.

Not disagreeing with you Delt, but the way NeoScorpio is putting it, if a race uses the Light, they can become Paladins.

Aye, in Lore there is only one Troll Priest, or at least one that follows the Light as the Blood/High Elves, Humans and Dwarves see it.... and we've haven't seen Zabra Hexx since the founding of the Scarlet's and the death of the Morgaines.

I think a Tauren paladin is perfect. The Taurens has gods that they strongly beleive in, lets just say that they learned to use the power of they're gods in another way....
so it makes perfect sence to me.

Unlike the Forsaken, I don't think that the Trolls wield the Light. And they already have their ''Holy Warriors'' as Shadow Hunters.
Orcs don't have Priests, I think their faith is just centered around the ancestral spirits, no?
Gnomish Light faith is rather recent and Paladins should be quite rare.
Night Elven Priests also don't wield the Light. And they also already have their ''Holy Warriors'' in the Bow-wielding High Priestesses.
Trolls' Lightwielding likely comes from worship of a particular Loa. While Bwonsamdi is seemingly tied to darkness, there's probably a Loa out there (wouldn't even surprise me if it was an estranged Naaru) that gave trolls access to the Light. Again, this is just conjecture and not actual lore (like, what, 90% of my posts in here). While the Shadow Hunters are the "holy warriors", said Loa could give birth to a new breed of Shadow Hunters, which could be called Light Hunters, aka Paladins. Light Hunter's is just a stupid idea. However, there are certainly Loa that seem light oriented. Zanza does not seem very Dark, and there is Lukou, the Shadow Hunter Loa of Healing and Respite: With a word, the shadow hunter invokes healing with a wave of soothing light or can invoke a scintillating rain of
positive energy
, which drops from the sky to heal all living allies it touches. Positive Energy is essentially light, if you've ever played DnD.
Orcs, due to their beliefs in ancestral spirits, generally do not adhere to the concept of the Light and Shadow as they are presented in Azerothian beliefs. Shamans are their Paladins. However, were they to gain awareness and belief in the Light, they would probably make more Paladins than Priests due to their warrior culture. Shamans are their Priests, and Enhancement Shamans are their Paladin's. I don't see them worshiping the Light anytime soon, except for a few individuals (not enough to make it a class. For example, I could see Eitrigg taking up the light, though I would prefer it if he didn't.)
Gnomes would probably consider Paladinhood once their field medics start smacking fools around just for living. Don't ever see it happening. They don't seem to have the concentration to be devout to anything. I don't even like the idea of Gnome priests. Unless we steal Tech Priests frok Warhammer 40k :P.
And as far as the Night Elves are concerned, their "paladins" are the battle priestesses. As both sexes can now access priesthood, maybe the males would start being more melee oriented, meaning, paladinhood, baby. No. Warrior Priest = Sentinel (they are trained in Priesthood too), no need for light wielding here, move along. And their more like Crusaders, Warriors who believe/are devout towards in the light (or in this case Elune), but do not wield it/her powers.

I didn't mean distracted as in ADD, I mean like they don't seem like the kind of people who could spend their entire lives dedicated to an ideology. Spending their lives on a giant tech robot that will advance technology incredibly? Maybe. They just seem more practical then that.
