Think it's pretty unlikely that the reason why Orcs got the mage class would have anything to do with the Dragonmaw since you don't get them to join the faction until the very last zone. (and even then, a lot of them still frown upon the Horde)
For the same reason I don't think you'd be able to play one (use Dragonmaw skin, I mean) if something like this was to be implemented.

Lorewise, I think that there are Dark Iron and Wildhammer dwarves in Ironforge and Mag'har orcs in Durotar. And since the Taunka are pretty much refugees, they might rejoin the Tauren completely in the near future.
Lorewise. go and watch the old and new intro of each race.
New Horde
---
New Alliance
Maybe you will get it.

Is it just me or the trolls are barefoot? This is one of those things that are ignored by the storytelling. They should be heh; have you ever tried to swiftly climb a tree with boots on? Troll feet are like another hand for the purpose of climbing and the like; plus, going around bare foot like they do, toughens up the sole of the foot, so they might feel things like rocks and the like when they walk over them, but I doubt it 'hurts' them as much as it would a human or elf doing the same(leaving out the dwarves because they are built like tanks heh).

Maybe, but their feet must be freezing in Northrend.
Or they've adapted... just like the Frost Trolls in Dun Morogh and the ones that used to live in Alterac Valley; unless your talking about the Darkspear.

Well they must have done some fast adapting then... of course, they've walked on lava, ice, mountains, and lots of other things since the start of Warcraft; not that hard to see them being able to handle Northrend temperatures.

If this is possible then DragonKira's point is still moot.
I still find it very much more likely that this is one of those things that storytelling simply ignores and that the trolls actually used warm gear. Much like how everyone else seem to use metal armor and nothing more but actually survived the excruciating cold.
Actually... that's not as hard as you think heh; most 'real' armour was heavily padded underneath, and depending on the type(too big or the like), the Knight/Warrior would have extra clothing on to make it fit. Plus you know.... we're talking about Warcraft here; where a Dwarf(or even an Elf) blacksmith could theoretically forge a set of armour that you could preform a ballet in, survive in the heat of a volcano, and survive on top of a glacier, all with a little hard work and magic.
But the trolls themselves have been bare foot forever; the Troll units in Warcraft 2 were heh...I think...... at least the Berserkers and Axe-Throwers, Zul'jin might have had a pair of boots.

I'd kill to play as a Mechagnome or Iron Dwarf (the
Iron Boot Flask
doesn't count).
