You're part of the detriment of the gaming community.
That's not how "detriment" is used. Possibly you mean "detritus".
You're that guy that just wants the same game with different scenarios and colors but you don't give a ^&*! about the actual plot.
Stop projecting. You're taking the fact that I didn't enjoy one particular poem and using it as an excuse to rant at a hypothetical person you imagine I might possibly resemble. I get into the lore of games just fine - I own the entire series of Zork novels for chrissake. (We could call that fact a
detriment
to your claims - hope that helps.)
I'm just not particularly into the lore of WoW, for a couple of reasons which I don't think I shall tell you. That doesn't mean I don't know any of the lore; I already mentioned that I do. It merely means that references to the lore don't evoke the sorts of strong feelings in me that they apparently do in some.
det·ri·ment /ˈdɛtrəmənt/ Show Spelled
–noun
1. loss, damage, disadvantage, or injury.
2. a cause of loss or damage.
You are part of the group that is causing damage to the gaming community, is what she was saying. There was nothing wrong about her word choice. Just thought I'd add that in :3 She wasn't calling you debri or a result of the gaming community....or anything of that sort c.C
de·tri·tus /dɪˈtraɪtəs/ Show Spelled
–noun
1. rock in small particles or other material worn or broken away from a mass, as by the action of water or glacial ice.
2. any disintegrated material; debris.

I know what the word means; what I said is that that's not how it's used, because it isn't. A person isn't "part of the detriment of a community" any more than they are "part of the injury of a community".
You're part of the cause of damage to the community, she said, not part of the injury of it. Definition 2, not 1, sir. You are, in fact, incorrect here and should stop while you're ahead.

I don't know why it bears arguing about, but the matter is as simple as checking the example sentences in the dictionary you just looked the word up in. When detriment is used in the second sense you're pointing at, it's used in formations like "Playing video games can be a detriment to your cardiovascular health". Nobody says things like "Gaming is part of the detriment of your health." That's simply how the word is used.
You're trying to correct her choice of preposition actually, and using the word instead. Perhaps she could have used "to" instead of "of" but that is only to prevent people like you from being confused, and doesn't make her word choice incorret. In her current standing she is still not incorrect, rather, as she was saying that "You are part of the cause of damage to the gaming community" in her current standing, it should be read "You are part of the cause of damage of the gaming community" Part of the breaking of the gaming community, part of the disease of the gaming community. All of these are causes of damage, saying you are part of the detriment "of" the gaming community is just as correct as detriment "to" the gaming community, as they mean the same thing.

no unless they already took vote but we can sstill vote so its not over and if xero gets 3 he has more than that guy taking him to the 6th place
Both of them are in the first five...
They will both win unless that guy with 108 votes magically gets 17 votes in less than 30 mins.
