More math:
Today 9 entries - 5 keys = 0,55 (Continuous) chance for a key per person
Tomorrow 11 entries - 5 keys = 0,45 (Continuous) chance for a key per person
Just sayin' :D
Still would love if mine is the 11th entry tomorrow ;)

You guys need to sit down, shut up, and grow up. You know damn well you wouldn't be saying CRAP if it was one of YOUR haikus that was up there and WINNING.
seconded I thought contests were supose to be fun. maybe thats the child in me
Maybe it's the cynicist in me, but when i see something up there that's spouted on the forums daily i can't help but feel it's a bit cheap.
Outside references like the Old Spice commercial are also likely to go over peoples heads if they're living somewhere where that particular commercial isn't aired.
But while i may not think they're all that, the judges obviously did and that's fine.

Huh. Why does Wowhead think I've only posted four times? Count goes down if older stuff gets purged, I guess?
Comments are listed separately, so you've probably only posted 4 Forum posts.

I'm 1/2 disappointed, 1/2 laughing over some of those entries.
A few of them (The Jaina/Arthas one, Wife lost in battle, and For the Alliance!) were great, and I had to sit for a bit and choose which one to vote for.
A few of them (Old Spice, Mankrik's wife and Illidan's thorn, and Knock Knock) were hilarious, but not something I'd generally vote for in a haiku contest (which is ironic, as I submitted a few stupidly funny ones like that as well).
And the last ones... just didn't do anything for me. *shrugs*
So it looks like overall, I'm satisfied with the ones that got picked, though a bit bewildered by a couple of them.
*thumbs up*
Good luck to all who submitted!

Good, that means that people had the stones and courage to attempt an outside joke, and guess what! It worked. People are way too uptight about playing things safe. Now, while it got him with the judges, it overall failed with the general public. Learn from his mistakes. Obviously, the public wants funny WoW related jokes!
The comment about the Old Spice commercial was meant as a side-note.
I really dislike seeing memes being chosen over what could possibly be 100s of heartfelt poems, i never liked playing to the public though. (Read: Lowest common denominator)
I speak my mind, and it's not always gonna be something overly diplomatic that comes out, heck no i get enough of that in real life.
Truth of the matter is, that while i may not like something it doesn't mean i can't see the ingenuity of it.

what time do they go up in english time that is? does anyone know?
As it seems I am doing the math tonight:
During daylight saving time, Pacific Dailight Time offset is Coordinated Universal Time -7.
Central European Summer Time is UTC +2.
So when it is Pacific noon we have 12 + 7 + 2 = 21 p.m.
Math is so much fun >.>
