Well to be honest... questing has always been vastly better than grinding. Though the majority of quests involve at least one part which requires you to grind x amount of mobs for y reason or z amount of quest objects.

I'd personally suggest for any class for you to put your talent points in where you would see yourself most end game. Yeah thats 70 levels away but practice makes perfect and it's easier to implement new skills and talents one level at a time rather than switching once 70 rolls around and dealing with a new set of talents. Currently I'm 5/0/the rest and need to respec. Personally I'd like to try 41/0/20 with imp ambush and mutilate but I don't feel like change my plan of attack. For the record how often does reposte proc, anyone know?

I just have to say that about 2 days ago I was able to take down 7 mobs (humoniods) of my same level. (currenlty level 42)
I did pop 1 health potion when I was around 30%.
I am using REMX leveling guide. (combat)

Hehe, since this post was resurrected:
I switched from combat to subtlety at level 30.
I could NEVER imagine leveling the first 30 levels as Subtlety. You get so very little as far as consistent damage goes. Imp Sinister strike is hard to beat. And precision. And Imp S&D. Ghostly strike helps with mitigation, but until hemo, you just don't have enough damage output after unstealthing to stay efficient.
Perhaps you subtlety guys are just thinking of what it's like after hemo and all of the dmg talents that you get after that, but I'd say for someone at level 10 looking at talents, you cant pass up Imp SS... it's just too good.
Ghostly Strike and Setup are doing well for me know, but only in conjunction with Hemo. It would be awful before that, imo.
**************************************************************************
But again, isn't the point of this thread about what is the most fun to level as? This isn't my first character, and I've done that "taking the mobs head on" before. The reason I respecced to subtlety is that I wanted to have some stealthiness leveling. But I certainly wasn't going to go straight into subtlety and suffer through the first 2-3 tiers. Choose what you will have fun with, but be realistic when you are starting your toon; like someone else said, don't make yourself suffer unnecessarily.

Its true.. You cant afort 2 start sub at lvl 10.
I'm lvl 61 atm and i tryed every build, except muti as i don't have daggers(didnt want 2 grind for hw daggers), I was dagger rogue till i get 34 and i tryed something else as there arent good daggers ahead and i specd hemo. I got 2 lvl 38 maybe and respecd again but on combat. I need 2 say its was rly slow. I tryed 2 used 2 to it but I just couldnt. 40 energy was 2 great for me and I needed 2 w8 on sword swings. A lvl or 2 after that i respected again in hemo and I was in paradise. When I reach 46 lvl I respected 16/0/21 and Im still on that build just deep in sub. Its more fun, its more dynamic as my style is, rly great survavibility vs mobs/players as Im on pvp server, ofc lets you got some frag by killing some random grinding player.
And after I saw this topic i wanted 2 find out whats faster for killing single targets
I made other rogues to spec 1 muti and 1 combat(he was alrdy combat and better geared than me) and get 3 same lvl mobs(undeads in hellfire) and I was suprised that I killed my mob 1st with like minus only 100hp, Meanwhile I saw that combat rogue just ss mob and nothing more... I mean if you want somethin like that just reroll fury warr... Where is the fun in it? Isnt wow a game 2 give u pleasure? It may be faster on large amount time 2 grind with combat spec but you feel like nothing more but a mob with speacial abbilities.
Ofc thats my oppinion and tbh I hate shs as every rogue on my server is shs specd for pvp... I like it 2 but I feel like i wana be somethin else, not just another stupid shs rogue... Maybe when I will be able 2 get shs step I will like it, but I dont think so, the time will show!

I take it back, what is the most fun Talent Spec?
At 70, they're all fun, but I like Mut the most.
