38 years ago, a cataclysm tore apart the world, caused by the Destroyer Deathwing and his flights. For 20 years, the war against the Black flight and their vassals raged, with the mortal races uniting against them in a fragile peace. Many vile things happened over those years, and the deaths of several great heroes occurred. At the end of the two decades, the mortals pushed for a final blow against the Destroyer; lasting three years, they shattered the forces of the insane Earth Warder, and took back their lands and homes.
For the last 15 years, the mortals have been rebuilding and regaining there lands. There are still rogues of the Twilight flight who strike, but they are on the decline as the other dragon flights hunt them almost constantly. The Blacks remain as they were at the end of Deathwing War; trapped in mortal form with their memories wiped, believing they were always mere weak members of Azeroth, and not once beings of power and strength.
The Horde and Alliance have withdrawn from one another, no longer in war as they try to pick up the pieces of their homelands and the world. The mortal races still clash at times, but any who are found trying to start wars are captured and killed. The different magical aspects of the world still cause some problems; the lay lines still not recovered after the Nexus War and the Blue Flights work in Northrend and other locations across the world.
The Church of the Light is far larger then it had been in the past, encompassing the Humans, Dwarves, and High Elves and is seen as the major religious power in the Eastern Kingdoms. The new leaders of the Church have been making grievances against the other Light users; primarily the Draenei and the Blood Elves, calling their own version of worship heresy. There has even been rumours that those who were once part of the Scarlet Crusade and Onslaught are high ranking leaders of the group. The main churches are the Lordaeron Monastery in Tirisfal, The Church of Light in Stormwind, and Northshire Abby within Elwynn Forest. It's opposite, the Church of the Shadow, resides in Stratholme, the capitol of the Forsaken race, and lead by a hero of the Deathwing War.
The Twin Dalarans, as they are called, have caused a return of the rivalry between the High and Blood Elves, as both schools attempt to prove that they are the stronger in magic and will be the ones who show that they are right. There are a few other schools which have appeared across across Azeroth; one in the city of New Theramore, which teaches those of the Horde how to control the arcane on Kalimdor. Another exists in Exodar, with the Draenei teaching the new ways of magic to their allies. Dire Maul, home of the Highborne, teaches all of the Night Elves who wish to relearn the lost skills. Warlocks have strangely been on a decline since the end of the Deathwing War, as have any sightings of Demons and Legion members on Azeroth.
The world of course, is not completely perfect; there are still conflicts between Horde and Alliance military groups, and the rogue factions of the world fight back against them. The largest group is still the Naga and their opposites the Satyrs, who have attempted to drive the Horde and Alliance from their homes.. but have not succeeded. In Northrend, the Ashen Verdict lead by Highlord Morgaine, continues to wipe out the remnants of the Dreadlord controlled Scourge, and the Ashbringer still shines brightly. In Outlands, the army of the Light is slowly being formed from among the remains of the Shattrah forces, though, they still suffer from the losses when Gul'dan and his forces eradicated Shadowmoon Valley.
The world is changing and it is time to see who will lead the new revolution to restore Azeroth to what it once was.

Lektraza Wyrmbolt
Stormwind City
More-or-less benevolent Gnomish Warlock.
Description:
Lektraza is the sister of Lektri Wyrmbolt. She is slightly older than her brother by a few years. Lektraza was shunned by her parents at a relatively young age as she had always wanted become a warlock even when she had barely mastered speech, her parents however wanted her to become a mage or 'something respectable' so they were not happy about this. Lektraza learned to become independent, having left home as soon as she had gotten the chance and relying on the kindness of others to keep her going. She has developed rather strange ideals and considers herself to be at least slightly mad. She is tolerant of others no matter what race due to her childhood experiences. Lektraza has dark blue eyes, however these are rarely seen except when she is masking the aura of demonic magic that emanates from her. This fades if she does not use fel magic for a considerable amount of time, though she uses it very frequently and usually resorts to masking it instead. Lektraza prefers for as little people as possible to know she is a warlock as she assumes that she will be treated badly for it. She also has shoulder-length blonde hair and rather pale skin. Lektraza is kind to others, however she can be cruel and malevolent when it comes to her enemies and the enemies of her friends.
Lektraza sat idly on a bench in the Stormwind park, now and then someone would walk past, but they barely even glanced in her direction. Now and then she saw a bird nearby, or a leaf fall from a tree. It was all calm and peaceful, she closed her eyes, breathing the fresh air.
I am going soft,
she thought. She had spent most of her time re-integrating into society, of course no one except for her most trusted friends knew that she was a warlock. To them she was a simple gnome with limited skill in arcane and fire magic. Of course, she knew little magic other than the demonic kind and so it all had to be disguised very carefully. That was not a problem though, she had spent years perfecting it.
Avemthar Darksong
Darnassus
Highly Skilled Elven Archer with some degree of proficiency in druidic magic (excluding shapeshifting and medium-advanced druidic magic. He only knows some minor spells, mostly lesser healing and the like).
Description:
Avemthar continued to improve his skills with the bow in the years that followed the Destroyer's fall. He also has acquired considerable skill with a variety of other weapons. His mother died not that many years on and Avemthar has dedicated himself to becoming one of the best archers in the land. He also learnt a few spells from his mother which he practices in her memory. He has learnt to control the worgen side of him on his own, though his conscious still remains intact as he has not developed a true worgen side. Avemthar has developed mistrust for certain other races after the death of his mother and he is a bit less forgiving than he was as a child. Secretly he hopes to see Silencia again, however in his mind he knows that chances of it are highly unlikely and he knows that he may not get on with her anymore. He is still deeply saddened by the fact she left to go back to her homelands. Avemthar instead spends his time learning more about the world around him and awaiting the return of his owl, Frostwing, who he has not seen in years. In his worgen form he has dark fur with tinges of blue and grey, in this form he also has bright orange eyes. In his night elf form Avemthar has hair that goes down to just below his shoulders, his hair is a dark green colour. His eyes glow a deep purple and he has light purple skin. He is usually cleanly shaven.
Avemthar wandered the streets of Darnassus, he glanced up to the sky, it was partially out of boredom, slightly out of the hope that he would see a fluffy snow-white owl come flying down. He missed Frostwing dearly, however he knew the owl was out there somewhere. He would find him some day, or the owl would find him...
Frostwing
Silvermoon City
Intelligent Frost Owl.
Description:
Frostwing left Avemthar and Ivrana, Avemthar's mother, not too long after the fall of the destroyer. The owl has spent his time travelling the world, causing mischief in distant lands and being a nuisance in general. He has done good things too, however, and he one day intends on returning to Avemthar. The owl has been watching various people across the world, he is still not sure why he left, it had all happened on impulse.
Frostwing sat on a tree, watching the blood elves below. There seemed to be some kind of market going on and the owl had found much free food, not to mention entertainment. The owl was pelting some very angry and surprised elves with glee, the ammunition was berries that he had stolen moments before.
Amora Frosthowl
Kul Tiras
Worgen Bounty Hunter and Assassin.
Description:
Amora has mentally-aged quite considerably in the years since the Destroyer's downfall, she is now in her mid-thirties and still living happily in Gilneas. She has not changed that much from who she was only fifteen years earlier and she still works as a bounty hunter, albeit with slightly different principles thanks to Gregory's influence. She holds doubts about her life though, feeling that she could have done more than simply go around hunting down thieves, murderers and other villains. Sometimes she looks back and regrets parts of her life, wishing she had done something different or actually made a large difference like others she knew or had heard of. Amora's shoulder-length hair has faded and is now a very pale blonde, her skin has darkened over the years due to the variety of places her 'work' has taken her and her eyes have dulled slightly, being somewhat more of a high elven blue colour, minus the glow, than before. Her worgen form remains unchanged however, with the same golden fur and bright blue eyes as always. Her worgen conscious and her human conscious merged in her teenage years. She also has some high elven heritage dating back many years and so she has inherited some of their characteristics, since her twenties she has almost entirely stopped aging in terms of appearance. Her ears have slight points at the end due to her heritage.
Amora watched her target carefully, she lined up the crossbow with the person's neck, waiting for them to be still. Her finger was light on the trigger, but it would only remain so until she was provided with a clear shot.
Lektri Wyrmbolt
Dun Morogh
Gnomish Mage, skilled Engineer and Alchemist.
Description:
Lektri has taken to his studies. After an argument with Vagrin the two split up and their friendship was shattered. To distract himself from this Lektri set about learning more about the history of the races of Azeroth, particularly the gnomes as he feels they that their failure to document their history properly means that they know are more or less in the dark about who they once were. Gathering what knowledge he can he is trying to learn more. Eventually he and Vagrin resolved their argument, however Lektri has not seen the dwarf in a while now, nor has he made any attempts to make contact. He still has a certain nostalgia for the days when he and Vagrin would go travelling the world together, fighting alongside each other and just plain enjoying the others company. Lektri talks very little now and prefers to be on his own, left to his studies. His green beard and moustache remain the same as always, although they have darkened slightly due to lack of sunlight. He still goes outside, however he spends most of his time either in Gnomeregan or Stormwind rather than in the warmer lands he used to journey to now and then. Lektri remains as talented an engineer and alchemist as ever, having made much progress and many discoveries thanks to fact he has not had to venture to other lands to fight rather than to find new ingredients and exchange formulas.
Lektri wandered the cold of Dun Morogh, a chilly breeze wafted through the frozen pines. To him it was warm and comforting, the welcoming feel of his homelands. Of course the temperature was more regulated in Gnomeregan itself, but the cold winds outside he welcomed nevertheless.
Vagrin Wrathhammer
Westfall
Dwarven Templar Paladin and Blacksmith, formerly a paladin of the Church of Light.
Description:
Vagrin continued to serve the holy light, as well as the people of Azeroth during the years after the Destroyer's fall. He is still bitter about his fight with Lektri and is somehow unable to truly make amends with his friend. He rarely comes into contact with the gnome, preffering instead to travel the world helping where possible. He has become quite well known in various places for both his faith in the light and also in others, as well as his impressive skill when it comes to battle. Vagrin usually travels, if possible, in an inconspicuous manner. He has come to appreciate patience, silence and solitude over several years, he still has a sense of humour though, and also remains fond of eating and drinking. He is less into fighting, seeing value in diplomacy, though he is still ready to leap into action if the need arises. He has learnt to fight with great skill using metal staves, finding that at a glance they seem less threatening than his warhammer, but at the same time just as lethal. Vagrin's hair has gone a darkish-grey despite him not being that old yet, for a dwarf at least. This makes him appear slightly older than he actually is. He, along with others, left the Church of Light several years earlier, feeling that the corruption and intolerance was becoming too great within its ranks. His skin a rich golden colour.
Vagrin burrowed his face deeper into the plain brown cloak that covered him and his armour. A strong wind had picked up and he had no wish to be buffeted by the grit it was throwing up into the air. The dwarf had his warhammer slung on his back, hidden by his cloak as well as the large pack he carried. In one hand he kept the cowl of his cloak in place, in the other he carried a plain metal staff with unusual engravings upon it. At a glance it seemed like a simple walking stick, though it was also a weapon.

Character: Thurdan Grimvein
Race/Class: Dark Iron Dwarf Warlock
Description
:
Having survived the enslavement of his people by Ragnaros and the Destroyer's rule of Azeroth, Thurdan is an intelligent, manipulating and cunning dwarf. He is 4'5' tall and has dark grey skin. His hair and beard are charcoal black, his eyes the distinct burning orange of the Dark Iron Dwarves. As with most Dark Irons, his build is slender in comparison to his Bronzebeard or Wildhammer cousins, but what he lacks in muscle mass he makes up for in speed and dexterity.
He normally wears a thick cloak with a hood, Thurdan normally a staff clasped to his back and a small dagger sheathed in his boot.
As an engineer Thurdan is quite adept with explosives and golem creations. Working as a mercenary for the most part, his loyalty lies with the highest bidder, unless he has his own objectives.
Location: Shatterspear Village
It was dark on the outskirts of the village and Thurdan approached with caution, he had little fear in is heart, but he did not wish to die.
Thurdan spun around when he heard a oise behind him and saw a large troll behind him, "I assume you are my client" Thurdan saaid to the shadowy figure, "Yoo be assumin' right little dwarf, this be a picture of the one yoo be huntin' for us." the troll replied as he pulled out a scroll of parchment from his bag. "I bring you her head" Thurdan said as he quickly glazed over the picture before putting in his bag.
"No, I want her alive. She must suffa at my hands." the troll said as he stalked back into the shadows.
____
A short time after this encounter Thrudan was walking through the forest of Darkshore when he came across several bloodstains on the road. There was signs of a short struggle and the carcass of a plainstider was nearby. Thurdan did not investigate the trail of blood that lead deeper into the forest, but did slow his pace and bacame more aware of his surroundings.

Avemthar Darksong
Darnassus
Avemthar was nearly bowled off his feet by what appeared to be a large cat, although he could not say for sure for he had already swung aside extremelly quickly to avoid colliding with it, he had only realized it had been coming by the sound of its paws padding on the ground belhind him.

Character: Thurdan Grimvein
Location: Darkshore
Thurdan didn't like that blood, the thought of it was nagging at the back of his mind. Even as he continued down the path he felt as though he was being watched. Thurdan stopped and summoned a demonic eye to scout above the treetops.
He was still cautious as he moved, whatever had made those bloodstains was big, and most likely fast, he had to be alert if he had any chance against it if it decided to attack him. The eye retuned and Thurdan scanned its memories seeing that there was little to be seen from the skies as well.

Character:
Robert Warhol
Race:
Human
Age:
43
Class:
Gunman
Robert used to be a common soldier in the ranks of Alliance army when his abilities with firearms were uncovered. A dwarven rifleman and engineer named Rolf Amberale took him as apprentice, and under his tutage Robert eventually crafted his sniper rifle,
the Wyrmbane
, and dual pistols,
the Windcutter
and
the Wolfslayer
. Robert had grown very attached to these three, and over the years never picked up another firearm - instead, he would just tinker with what he had to outmatch anything he came across.
Rolf fell in the final battle against the Deathwing and Robert was left to himself. He became a bounty hunter, although he always remained affiliated with Alliance. Today, despite his age he is still in a perfect physical form, able to do various acrobatic tricks such as somersaults and shooting while falling. He wears a longcoat that hides his pistols and various engineering supplies, as well as his favourite cigars to which he has an addiction that he acknowledges and doesn't want to get rid of. Robert always carries with him two more things - a titanium coin that he likes to toss and try his luck, and a long knife in his left boot that can be attached to
the Wyrmbane
to form a polearm in case anything gets too close to use firearms. A wide-brimmed hat and a pair of goggles mask his face when he is outside, leaving only his stylish black goatee that sprouted several gray hair over past few years.
Location:
Westfall
Robert paced through the plains of Westfall effortlessly, despite the strong wind blowing, as it seemed, in all directions. His longcoat was fluttering wildly and the fact that the Wyrmbane was attached to his back did not help much. Robert's eyes were protected from dust by his goggles, and he pulled up a scarf to his nose, to avoid dust getting into his lungs.
Through the brown-gray torrents Robert noticed a small humanoid figure nearby and headed to it. He shouted - "Ahoy there!" - and his strong, clear voice, although somewhat muffled by the scarf, easily outmatched the howling wind.

Robert came up to the dwarf and smiled - a fellow Alliance, as it seemed. He took out an extra pair of goggles and handed it over to the dwarf, saying - "I see the damned sandstorm plagues you at least as much as me. Where are you heading, good dwarf? We could go together and kill the time talking to each other."

Ye'd be welcome to join me," he added, taking the goggles and putting them on. Normally he would have used the light to shield him from the sandstorm if need be, but he did not want to draw too much attention to himself. "I be Vagrin," said the dwarf, "an' what be yer name?"

Skreeran
Character: Skreel Shadowbender
Location: Capital City
Description: Skreel Shadowbender is the head priest of the Church of the Forgotten Shadow, and has volunteered for the role of ambassador to the humans of Lordaeron. He regrets losing the Undercity to the Alliance, but he understands that it was a necessary sacrifice if peace were to be made. He fears, though, that the humans, out of fear of the Forsaken, will continue to push for war to finally wipe the undead out completely.
Skreel walked down the halls of Capital City, his face obscured by his thick cowl. He walked now without his typical covering of fog-like shadow that normally covered him. The humans still feared an misunderstood the Shadow. He hoped to fix that one day.
Right now he was walking with a purpose, for he was needed at a particular meeting. There had been a lot of meetings in recent days, mainly about land and war. Neither side wanted war, but both sides wanted land, and it was his job to represent the Forsaken on those matters. He hoped that in doing so, he could work to eliminate the stigma that surrounded his people in the minds of the humans, and perhaps solve many of these problems at their source.
Character:
Taelani Elmwood
, alias
Shiara Thistlewood
Location: Stormwind City, The Park
Description: Taelani is a night elf woman, who used to be a priestess. She was captured and brutalized by a group of Warsong orcs during the last Horde-Alliance war, and bore a half-orc son as the product of that time. She abandoned the child, and grew to hate the Horde with a frenzied passion. This passion led her to wrongly kill a great deal of Shatterspear trolls, whereupon she was stripped of her title as a priestess, and forced to run for her life to avoid the troll's justice. She has since adopted a new identity.
Shiara walked down by the park, leaning on the edge of the Moonwell there. She'd heard her name--her real name--spoken by a rogue in the inn the day before, and it had unnerved her. Someone was out to get her, and she was terrified of what would happen if they found her. She had to lay low for a little while, or else people might get suspicious.
Character: Ja'kala
Location: Darkshore
Description: Ja'kala is the younger son of the troll chieftain Base. He has red-orange hair, pulled back into dreadlocks, and no facial tattoos.
Ja'kala was returning to the camps after his meeting. He'd already spoken to dozens of bounty hunters, mercenaries, and assassins, trying to get a fix on the elf. He would go after her himself, except that he was fairly certainly that she had taken refuge in some Alliance land where he was not permitted.
It was no matter, though. His father had a lot of money that he was willing to donate to the cause, and he would find her, no matter what.

Robert Warhol
Westfall
"Robert. Nice to meet you, Vagrin. I guess I might just as well go with you and blow the undead apart." - Robert chuckled. - "Lead the way, Vagrin."
Character:
Valentine Silvermane
Race:
Human
Class:
Mage (Deep Frost-spec)
Age:
67
Appearance:
6'1'', pale skin, silvery gray long hair in a ponytail, large deep blue eyes, an azure silk bandana that covers lower half of his face, blue/silvery longcoat that does not hinder his movements, a long battle staff that is, essentially, just a thin (yet Elementium) pole.
Description:
Calm (most of the time, at least). Calculating. Brooding. Ambitious. Ruthless. Egocentric. Power-hungry. All these match Valentine, who during his time in Kirin Tor have been nicknamed
Frozenheart
by many. When he was five a devastating fire destroyed his parent's home, killing everyone inside - except for him. The experience grayed his hair forever and left some nasty scars on his face, forcing him to wear a mask nearly all the time. Valentine survived the fire invoking his hidden magical abilities and creating a wall of ice that protected him just long enough for a nearby Kirin Tor mage to notice the smoke pillar and a magical outbreak. Since that time, Valentine acquired a deep affinity with water and ice and even deeper hatred for the Pyromancers, since he always believed that a fire of such magnitude could only have magical origins. During the Deathwing accident Valentine descended into the Abyssal Maw and knelt before Neptulon himself, participating in the Elemental Lord's battle against naga that tried to succeed him. As a token of gratitude Neptulon blessed Valentine, granting him an extended lifespan and even greater connection
to water. Now, the Hydromancer wanders across the world, sometimes heeding the call of his Elemental Lord but mostly following his own agenda.
Location:
Stormwind City, The Park
Valentine walked through the Park towards the moonwell.
"Water... claimed by Elune. One may think that made it even more powerful... but few know about the moonlit chains." - he said quietly, but not quiet enough for a Night Elf woman nearby not to hear him.

Lektraza Wyrmbolt
Stormwind
Lektraza sensed the presence of several others, including a night elf who was near the Moonwell. She kept her eyes shut and did not move. Her aura of demonic magic was suppressed by many upon many layers of magic as per usual, nevertheless she had to make sure now and then that the magic held. So far it had not failed her, not even the paladins and priests in the Cathedral had seen through it. After years of practice she had succeeded in making the spell better than ever before, but it took time to disguise herself properly.
She left a leaf float down, settling on the ground beside her. Lektraza enjoyed being in the park, often it was more or less empty. Not that she did not mind the presence of others, she just disliked being in a large crowd. Her mind strayed to the Church of Light, she had come to distrust them, something about them was not right. She pushed the thoughts aside, all that could wait, right now she needed a moment's peace. She sensed the presence of another individual, this time a human.
Vagrin Wrathhammer

Vagrin nodded, he kept going with Robert in tow. He held his metal staff firmly in one hand. The staff was higher than him, being made for combat rather than as an unusual walking stick which was what it appeared to be.

Character: Shiara
Location: Stormwind City
Shiara's face twitched imperceptibly when she realized that there was a human near her. She had never particularly liked the humans. The had come across the sea with the orcs, changing her world forever.
However, for a long time, they had wanted to kill orcs, and that meant they were okay with her. They weren't night elves, though, and she didn't completely trust them.
Finally, she decided that it would be less suspicious to act friendly than it was to be seen avoiding attention.
"Pardon me?" she asked the human. "I'm afraid I don't understand."
Character: Mary
Location: Stormwind
Description: Mary is the wife of Linmarion Swiftarrow. She is a human, born in Southshore and recently relocated to Stormwind, where she had lived for most of her life in the Orphanage. Her parents were kill by worgen when she was young, and she had been taken to the Orphanage soon after. She has short red-brown hair, and was blinded by a warlock shortly before the Destroyer's fall.
"Morning, honey," Mary smiled, pulling a loaf of bread from the oven. "How'd your day go?"
Character: Morrowind
Location: Astranaar
Description: Captain of the Sentinels at Astranaar, Morrowind has suffered numurous physical and pyschological scars in the dozens of wars she has fought in. She fought under Ravencrest in the War of the Ancients, and served under Staghelm in the War of the Shifting Sands. She's been tortured, beaten, sleep deprived, starved, and otherwise injured, but she's still doing her best to serve.
Morrowind sat up on the edge of her cot, feeling unusually grumpy this morning. She'd had a stressful dream, and that always p*ssed her off in the morning.

"Rogue necromancers..." - Robert shook his head. - "I guess our tiny world will never know true peace. I guess what I've just said sounds both weird and rude to you." - he sighed, although that could be left unnoticed provided that azure silk bandana was covering his face for the majority of the past sixty years.
