Silencia
Darnassus
She looked at the owl making sure that somehow this too wasn't some kind of joke and peeked her head out and looked at him. She smiled and looked at the owl. "I'm sorry about earlier Frostwing. We shouldn't have done any of those things to you." She said apologetically.

Valentine paused for a second to think over his next sentence, then spoke quietly yet persuasively.
"Indeed I do. You have seen the might the artifact possesses - there are dozens - if not hundreds - of them scattered all across the world, and now a group of selfish, ignorant, power-hungry cultists is about to lay their filthy hands upon them. Should they succeed, they will probably go on to summon the being that they serve and at the same time use as their source of power - a being that contains in it both the Cold of Titanic Order and the Heat of Old God Chaos.
A Hybrid.
Evil enough for you?"

"In the end, yes. But even as young as you are, you should already know that tensions grow between the factions, and guess who is fueling the fire of coming war? The dark times are returning. On the other hand, take into consideration that with each artifact located and gathered we put off their plans a little bit further, buying ourselves some time."
Valentine lowered his voice just enough so that Amora could not hear them in case she was awake.
"But enough of generalisations. The brick that your ladyfriend gave me is a mere shell - a powerful one, but still, a shell. Its sole purpose was to contain a verdant crystal - and without it, the crystal will subdue whomsoever picks it up sooner or later, turning him - or
her
," - he nodded at Amora - "into a mindless monster, only controllable through other similar artifacts - i.e. making the victim a reluctant part of the cult. This is the immediate purpose I was speaking about - to find that crystal and either destroy it or chain it. And this is by no means easy task, for the artifacts are able to grow attraction in hearts of those who wield them - whoever has the crystal now, he - or she - will fight to keep it, but at the same time thank us when we free him - or her - from its influence. Do you understand it, young wanderer?"

Character: Shiara/Taelani
Location: Shadowforge City
Shiara strained harder against her bonds, fighting off terror and panic as she tried to get at the knife she had hidden in her boot. Her breathing was ragged and quick as she began to hyperventilate. She had a phobia of ropes and being tied up, and it was beginning to get the better of her. She continued to scream through her gag every few seconds, both in an attempt to be heard by anyone passing by, and out of simple unrestrained fear.

"Doesn't do anything
funny
, eh?"
Valentine's eyes glowed for a second.
"So, the verdant crystal is indeed in her possession, thank you. I will try to talk her into giving it to me... But should I fail - and I somehow feel that I will - it would be up to you to save her
from herself
. Your quest to destroy evil is beginning, young wanderer - for the starting point is always evil within."

"Besides the exercise?" Morrowind chuckled. "Not much. I try to get a little reading done when I can... I like to think myself well-read..." she shrugged. "Why? You're giving me a funny look..." she chuckled.

"Eh... If that's what you think's best, then that's fine," Mary shrugged. "We going home then?"
Character: Morrowind

"True..." Morrowind chuckled. "But that's just because it's the only real free time we've gotten in a long time," she shrugged. "Once we get off, we're going to have to go after that dwarf again.

Character: Morrowind
Location: Island
"Right..." Morrowind nodded, looking down at the books. "So... What'd you bring? Anything good?" she chuckled.

"Hope so," Morrowind chuckled, looking over the books.
"...Interesting..." she chuckled, looking through them. "Well, at least there's one here that looks good..." she laughed, carefully opening a historical novel.
