Flamehowl stopped, then underlined something with his finger. "I think I found something," he said. "Something I jotted down years ago during the War in Northrend, about a ritual used by the Drakkari trolls. Here it is," Flamehowl cleared his throat, then read:
I was traveling through the Grizzly Hills today, intent on copying down a few designs a friend of mine had seen, when I came across a group of Drakkari trolls conducting a ritual on the border between the Hills and their kingdom. Curious about the ritual, and not lacking for time, I moved closer, intent on discovering the purpose of their ritual.
One of their number was in the center of a slightly lopsided circle, with an oval passing through the center. Several angular designs were inscribed along the inside of the outer ring. The troll in the center had apparently been "infected," for lack of a better term, by a banshee. The troll's soul had apparently not been consumed by the banshee yet, which shows insane discipline and strength.
They began the ritual by anointing the head of the bound troll with a flask of mojo, then proceeded to chant a name, perhaps on of their deities. They kept chanting:
LOK'WANTA! LOK'WANTA!
in a loud and clear voice. They would chant it in a group of three, then stop for a beat, then chant it again. As they did so, they used a fetish to separate the banshee's soul from the troll's. They were unable to banish the banshee's soul completely, but they were able to separate the two enough so that the troll's mind was in complete control, although he would be hearing voices and screams for the rest of his life, I imagine.

"So, what, you're gonig to tie me up and rip my soul out?" Snowmane asked, not very interested in the ritual.
Character: Nazevere
Location: Silithus
"Are you really so sure?" Nazevere asked, her voice coming from seemingly nowhere. "If you cease your attacking now, perhaps we can put this behind us before it goes too far."
Character: Ja'Kala
Location: Shatterspear Village
Ja'Kala was surprised to find a letter arrive in the mail for him. Literacy was low in the tribe, and mail hardly ever came to the village.
He carefully opened it and began to read.
Character: Jade, Dag'rema
Location: Dalaran
Dag'rema merely spit at the ethereal, clutching her soulstone in her hand. "You're going to look so beautiful as you're flayed alive by my Masters," she laughed.
Jade frowned.

"I would imagine most of that is for show," Flamehowl replied. "Besides, it would be more focused on making sure Philip's soul doesn't fuse with yours than taking yours out."

"Sounds like a lot of work," Snowmane shrugged. "Are we even sure his soul
could
fuse with mine?"

"I'm fairly sure it can, especially since it sounds like he's becoming more at home there," Flamehowl nodded.

"It doesn't rip, I think." Flamehowl shrugged. "From what I remember it was more about building walls and barriers around the two souls."
Flamehowl frowned at Ga'Crane. "True enough, but I don't know anything else that might help."

"Because he's already a lich, his soul is more free," Flamehowl protested. "Besides, I fear their emotions may already be affecting each other. Both have become more depressed since he took up residence, which seems at odds to what he seemed to be like."

"I could probably modify the ritual to remove the soul instead of blocking it," Flamehowl murmured thoughtfully. "And add safeguards too. I'd rather use ritual magic than be forced to phase something. Rituals can be prepared completely before hand and made fool proof."
