Character: Dag'rema
Location: Netherstorm
"So?" Dag'rema asked Curho. "Shall we take him with us, or must we stay here?"
Character: Skreel
Location: Duskwood
Skreel continued on, thankful as the torches grew farther and farther apart, eventually leaving them in the total blackness of the enchanted forest itself. A hundred feet later, Skreel stopped, looked around, and set Russell down.
"We can stop here. The Night Watch won't bother to search this far off the road, and we're too far for their torches to cast their light on us. We're safe."

Vashadya, Lektraza
Star-Pelt's Sanctum
Vashadya finished chewing on her brownie, nodding gratefully again at Star-Pelt before heading towards her room. She decided to check on Aldos first, in case he was hungry, before going to bed.
Keep forgetting to ask that gnome about why exactly she treated us in that way earlier,
the priestess thought, but gave a dismissive shrug. She guessed it was not really important anyway, after all they had rescued Gurka using that tactic, even if it was a rather questionable method of rescuing someone.
Lektraza took a brownie for herself, not feeling that tired yet. "Strange lot you've got there," she commented, admiring the sanctum a little as she looked around, "how exactly did you get this place though?"
Mehl'Vorlek, Vral'Xennar
Cultist Stronghold, Underneath Lake Lordamere
Just as the first few Alliance attackers stepped out of the portals in the cultists lair, a large stray bolt of shadow energy bounced across the room utterly annihilating the group who had finished the ritual. Mehl'Vorlek himself was knocked flat and so were the guards. The human coughed and rose to his feet, "fel damn it, there must have been contamination, I thought these shards were checked?" he said, after a couple of swear words of his choice. "Get another group up here immediately! And someone check the damn shards for contamination!" he commanded. One of the guards ran to get another group for the ritual while the others began to check the shards, still dazed from the sudden blast of stray energy. The whole room seemed to be buzzing with it in fact.
Vral'Xennar burst into the room, rifle raised and his two horrific excuses for hounds at his heels. He lowered his rifle when he saw there was no attack. "The enemy have entered the stronghold near the base sir, they are Alliance soldiers and mercenaries from what we have seen," he said simply, not a flicker of emotion crossing his face. Vorlek swore again, but had regained his composure. "Let's hope the next group can get the disruption spell up in time," he said, his eyes falling upon one of the shards which was now covered in a strange dark-purple goo which hissed and faded away. He then realized the source of it was not coming from Death, one of Xennar's two pets, but from the shard itself. It was the same shard Amora had given to the cultists. "I think we have our contaminated shard," Vorlek announced, walking over to pick it up, however quickly stepping back when it started to light up and produce more of the no doubt poisonous substance.
Vorlek turned angrily on the guards, "who was in charge of checking and cleaning the shards of contamination?" he asked. The guard nearest him, a dwarf, backed away a little, "t'was I sir, bu' ah swaer, the newer 'ditions be fine, checked 'em all," he answered hastily. Vorlek turned to Vatec, "did we find the recent shards ourselves, or were they...
Gifted
to us by one of the many
guests
we get now and then? In particular, is there anyone you know of who would probably have dared to sabotage one of the shards before giving it to us?" he queried. Already a new group for the ritual had arrived, but the room was still thick with magic and the shard would no doubt ruin the process again if they were not careful. And by the looks on the younger cultists' faces it was clear they had no wish to perish like their companions, who were only now being dragged away.

Amora, Vagrin
Lake Lordamere
Amora nodded in the direction of the portal, "better get moving, we are meant to be some of the first to enter," she said, walking ahead of the others. Vagrin walked after her, putting on his helmet as he did so.
Vashadya, Lektraza
Star-Pelt's Sanctum
"How exactly? It must have been difficult else most mages I know would have a proper place like this rather than say a tiny arcane-powered storage area that they can access whenever they need to, which is far less useful than a place either way," the gnome said.
Vashadya opened the door quietly into Aldos' room and went in, to check if he was awake and needed anything. Then she would go and get some rest, she was pretty tired after the events that had transpired throughout the course of the day.

"Must have been difficult though," Lektraza said. "The brownie was good by the way," she added.

Amora, Vagrin
Lake Lordamere
"Providin' 'alf the squadron dinnae ge' gunned down wit'out e'en bein' able ter blink w'en we arrive, like tha' time in felwood, yea," the dwarf chuckled. "But dinnae worry about tha' lad, we'll be up an' at 'em in no time a' all," the dwarf chuckled. "Not on my watch we won't go get ourselves gunned down," Amora growled, having heard the dwarf's words.
Vashadya, Lektraza
Star-Pelt's Sanctum
"That I can tell," the gnome said. "I wouldn't half mind a place even only a quarter of the way as good as this that I could visit when I chose, although being practically an ethereal must help with making this kind of place, and I kind of prefer having a body rather than having none, no offence."

Character: Illia/Lexa/Aldos
Location: Sanctum
Lexa stood up and walked off down the hall to look for someplace to sleep. Illia continued to sit in her chair now listening to the conversation between the gnome and Star-Pelt. Aldos's eyes slowly opened and instantly reached for his head as he felt the massive headache attacking him. "What? Where am I?" He muttered his eyes still trying to focus on everything around him.

Vashadya, Lektraza
Star-Pelt's Sanctum
"They probably are, and I probably would be too if I was one of them," the gnome nodded.
"It's alright, we are in Star-Pelt's sanctum, you were out cold for some time," Vashadya told Aldos calmly. "Do you need anything?"

Vashadya, Lektraza
Star-Pelt's Sanctum
"She helped us free Gurka, I guess she caught us just to trick the prison guards, though she still could have been nice and told us about it rather than just grabbing us," Vashadya explained, "though before that you tried to defend us from her and then I am not really sure what happened, you pretty much disappeared from what I saw, anyway after escaping Dag'rema we managed to get you and Gurka here and into safety."
"By the way Star-Pelt made some food and brownies so if you want any we could go get some," she added, "might make you feel better, apparently you may have absorbed the fel chains Lektraza put on you and Lexa said that is probably why you were unconscious."
Amora, Vagrin
Lake Lordamere
Amora lead the way, going through the portal first. Vagrin nodded briefly to Gregory and Able, before following suit. The worgen exited to be confronted with a skirmish, the cultists were for the most part behind barricades and the Alliance soldiers were taking what little cover they could find, firing back at them. Suddenly a cultist with a crazed look on his face and a large dagger, probably used for sacrifices confronted her. The worgen easily disarmed the man, bending his arm in the process. He turned to flee, but with a quick movement he garroted him. The worgen quickly made her way to some cover just as Vagrin emerged through the portal. Being the most heavily armoured of the current group the dwarf charged forwards, smashing aside part of the barricade as he went and killing a few cultists in the process.
Amora made her way to join him, slicing a cultist clean in half with one twin-blade and performing a fierce roundhouse kick which connect with another cultist's ribs, killing him almost-instantly. "That's three," the worgen commented when she reached the dwarf. "Hah, four 'ere," the dwarf chuckled. "We will see about that!" Amora snorted, hurling a several daggers at the man Vagrin was about to kill, and one who had crept up behind the dwarf without him noticing. The dwarf muttered something about stealing kills and how it should not count before continuing.
Mehl'Vorlek, Vral'Xennar
Cultist Stronghold, Underneath Lake Lordamere
Vral'Xennar left the room as his hounds became restless, he knew now for sure that the battle had started, and he was not going to miss the chance for the one of the few things he still somewhat enjoyed in his life.
