Amora/Vagrin
Lake Lordamere
Amora nodded, "that or they will find out soon enough," she said, the portals being created were beginning to take shape, but the magical barriers within the cultist lair were strong enough to slow the process down.
Mehl'Vorlek, Vral'Xennar
Cultist Lair
Mehl'Vorlek's head snapped up in annoyance as he heard a shout, directed at him no doubt, "master!" shouted a young cultist, running into the room. "What is it now?" he snapped in annoyance, glaring at the young woman that stood before him. "Master, something is trying to breach the anti-magic barriers," the cultist replied hastily. Vorlek chuckled, "it was getting rather stale down here, but run along now, I am not the only one who will be interested in hearing this news." The cultist bowed and fled from the room. Vorlek chuckled again, come to think of it, he did feel a disturbance in the room, as if the fabric of the dimension was being torn. Whoever it was that was attacking, they seemed to be aiming for a large portal. "The more the merrier," he said cheerily, finishing the small glass of wine he had opened. He nodded to one of the two officers before him, who were waiting in silence for his next command. He nodded to Vral'Xennar, "if the barriers work as plan the enemy, whoever that may be, will, as you know, be emerging in this general area, near the bottom of our lair... I suggest you get some men down to the further reaches, that way the enemy will have to split their forces, if they indeed have any, and then I want you back on this side with our better troops, so that we can put up a proper fight," he told the man.
Xennar bowed, not a flicker of expression crossing his face as he did so. He checked his carbine briefly before striding off, two ferocious dogs that were so vile and oversized they seemed more like crude-corehounds rather than anything else followed at his heels as the man left the room. A purple crystal was embedded in each of their brows and corruption oozed like a poison from the hounds, their red eyes scanned the corridor for any signs of danger. The hound that was slightly larger than the other, Ripper he was called, had incredibly sharp claws and fangs, not to mention two large horns that protruded oddly from his skull. The second hound, Death, looked almost as if he was rotting. Sharp bones protruded from cracks in it's skin and a dark substance dripped from every opening, fizzing as it fell upon the ground around it. The hound's form was constantly reshaping as if whatever was within it could not stay in one place for long, it looked almost as if the creature would explode at any moment. The owner of the two was probably the least menacing, Xennar wore a drab grey uniform, a sabre was slung at his hip and a carbine over his shoulder, an assortment of pistols and knives adorned the two sashes that he wore. His face was expressionless as if all interest in life and any of it's beauties had long since faded from the one who wore it.
Vorlek turned to the other man once Xennar had gone, "you better get the
artifact
, make sure it is out of here while the fighting occurs, the shards we have in our possession are expendable as long as we can guarantee it is safe," he told the remaining cultist officer. The man bowed as well, and moved for the door. "And make sure no one is in contact with it for too long, you of all people should recall what happened the last time we allowed such an occurrence," Vorlek added, earning a grimace from the man. One they were both gone Vorlek set about acquiring his staff, he would need to have a decent word with his colleagues as soon as possible if they were to properly go about defending their lair.
Vahij
Eversong
"So what was all that about me being your wife in aid of?" Vahij questioned Brellin.
Vektor
Silverpine
Vektor watched the portals being created from a hidden place in the trees. The gnome rubbed his hands together with glee, "oh this will be good, we will practically own the black market if all goes well," he laughed, though he had to cut himself short in case anyone heard. It was unlikely they would, he was quite a long distance from shores where the mages were at work, though even he was not going to spoil the chance they had now. "We're going to be rich! Well I will, maybe not everyone," the gnome added, his gaze falling about a rather bedraggled gnome who was gazing stupidly at Vektor, a look of drooling anticipation on his face. It was clear not much crossed this particular gnome's mind. Vektor shooed him away, "it's not time for fighting yet, shoo!" he said irritably, before turning back to continue watching the summoning of the portals.
Vashadya
Shattrath
Vashadya shook her head once the night elf had been dragged away, "seems we are always running into trouble," she murmured. She sat herself down nearby, planning on getting a brief rest while she waited for the group to get going or for something else to happen. What exactly, she was not sure.

"I swear, someday I'm gonna kill him!" boomed the naturally calm Mehl'Vatec, storming into the room, his runed armor clanging at each step.
"Can you believe it, Vorlek? I still don't understand why on Azeroth does the master want the old man alive and
well-treated
," he sighed, leaning to a wall. "Not that I question his decisions, of course, I just think that there are mehl'ori more fitting this task than I. At least, with this attack I'll be able to get my mind off the things..." he chuckled darkly, then added, "But I gotta get that transfer to Un'Goro."

: Ga'Crane

Some time later - the troll was uncertain about precise amount of time, and thought better against figuring out - Ga'Crane exited the lab, wiping sweat off his forehead. He took out two sandwiches, seasoned one of them with kingsblood, pinned a note that read
How are you doing out there so far? Did I miss anything? and put it on the teleportation rune without touching it himself, hoping it would work as he intended.

Mehl'Vorlek, Vral'Xennar
Cultist Stronghold, Underneath Lake Lordamere
Vorlek chuckled, "you'll get your chance to kill him another time, but now is not the time," he said, picking up a cigar and lighting it,gesturing towards the box for Vatec to help himself. "I have had the artifact moved out of here, worst case it case we will have to hope it falls into the hands of future cultists, but not for too long in their actual hands, then this can all be restarted if the worst comes to the worst," he continued, "after all, we are all expendable, although as of yet I fancy our chances, or the chances of most of us." As he strode about the room Vorlek picked up a sacrificial dagger and tucked it away beneath his robes. "Sammar's always been a mysterious one to work with anyway, I am sure he has something up his sleeve, so I am sure taking on the appearance of that Valentine chap is properly one of the least bad jobs he could muster for you."
"As for that transfer ti Un'Goro, why do you want it? If it is to get away from Sammar I can assure you there are far more mysterious people than him alone, you may end up with someone more-or-less the same as him," the human added, before tossing the Kul'Tiran cigar into a bin filled with used ones. "Well, how about we start creating strategies? Though we will need all, or most, of the Mehl'ori present for that. No time to loose either," Vorlek chuckled as he felt the room crackle slightly with passing arcane energy.
Xennar walked slowly back up the tunnel to where barricades were being set up. The cultist saw nothing was out of place and so continued up, however all of a sudden a bright blue portal erupted in the middle of it instantly causing the deaths of multiple cultists. Xennar ran past it, the barricade had been too close to the entry point and he preferred having the high ground to use against whoever it was that would no doubt be coming through the portal soon.
Amora/Vagrin
Lake Lordamere
As a soon as the mages had breached the barriers surrounding the cultist lair they set about giving the portal stability. The portals crackled blue with magic and it would not be long before they were stable. The portals were finished, but the mages would have to drain the excess magic off of them so as not to cause a collapse. As they had breached the magical barriers it would prevent the cultists from using any magic on them as they went through the portal, but whether or not they were stabbed to death as soon as they went through was a different matter.

Vahij watched Brellin with a grin, "you look like something mechanical rather than human, with they way you are walking," she giggled. "Please try to walk faster than that or we will be stuck here for several weeks."
