With one last comprehended movement the troll shoved a tube with a scroll into Gurka's hands before toppling over and beginning to shake spasmodically, without making any kind of sound save for a sickening series of cracks accompanying his white skin tearing once again, chunks of flesh falling away and revealing glistening black leathery surface underneath.
The scroll read, in several languages, Orcish being topmost, followed by Common, then Zandali, then Thalassian,
My friends,
If you are reading this, that means I am out of time. I have spent more than I could afford to, and will have to recover for some time. What emerges now is me and not me at the same time - a separate entity that once used to be a part of me. I sought to control and contain him, but to no avail.
He shall not harm those that can without a doubt call themselves my friend, but unfortunately I was not able to put any other inhibitors on him. Bear with him for a day or two, until I can recover.
I am sorry it has come to this and you are to carry my burden.
In the unlikely case his rage gets us both killed, one way or another, tell Gurka I love her.

"Spirits!" Gurka cried, paying no heed to the scroll for the time being. She knelt by Ga'Crane's side, doing her best to heal him, but to little avail.

"Well, well, wellwellwell," Morec said, keeping his eyes on Flamehowl as he rode up to the dying... was he dying? Hard to tell - but he rode up towards Ga'crane. "This is most interesting." He pulled a ghoul out of the dirt and had it pick up the scroll off of the ground to hand to him.

"Well well well yourself," came an answer, in a voice deep and confident, bereft of any kind of an accent - such would one who had learned the language only recently, and most flawlessly, speak.
The last chunk of bloodied white flesh parted ways with what once was a troll, falling down with a dull thud and turning into a small pile of ashes, adding to a score or so of similar mounds scattered around the death knight's apprentice. As thick, heavy smoke began to rise from the dust, amongst it the one to have spoken rose, stretching with an audible series of cracks as his bones rubbed against one another.
He was humanoid in appearance, tall - no less than six five at first glance - and broad-shouldered, with well-developed muscles. His skin was tar black, glistening where the blood had not yet had a chance to dry. Contrasting with it was his mane of white hair with a light violet tint to it, peaked above his forehead and cascading down on his shoulders, covering the ears, only sharpened tips of which could be seen. His eyes were monochrome, deep purple, set deep beneath two cartilaginous ridges, in place of eyebrows, ending in spikes. Bone ridges protruded from under his skin along the jawline, visibly elongating his haughty face. Similar ridges could be seen near his elbows once he folded his arms across his chest, revealing his hands to be five-fingered, ending with strangely white nails.
The perhaps only thing that he had in common with Ga'Crane was the obsidium markings burnt into his skin, on his lower back.
"It's about time," he smiled, revealing white, somewhat pointed teeth.

Morec took the cylander from his ghoul and stashed it in his cloak for the time being. "I take it you're not Ga'crane," Morec said. "Not in terms of personality, anyway. This is a very excelent turn of events, would you mind if I asked you to speak at a few seminars sometime in the future? You would truely help illustrate my point."

"What the Fel did he do to you?" Gurka shrieked, looking what used to be Ga'Crane over. "I'll see you mended, I promise
..." she added once she got over the shock.
And if that's impossible, a painless death.

"Calm the fuсk down, wench. For all intents and purposes, I
am
your precious troll," the purple-eyed man turned around, ogling Gurka.
"I am what he fears and loathes about himself, what he tries to keep inside and never, ever let you see. I am his rage. His pride," he drawled, squinting and reaching out to touch Gurka's cheek, "His lust- light damn him!"
He jerked the hand back the second it touched the orc's skin, staring angrily at a singed patch of skin on his hand.
"Should have known he would set me up like that. No matter. Time is short, and enemy waits ahead.
He is not telling you a lot of things, one of them being that a chunk of old Daggy is sitting inside Malice. Which is why we are dropping our attempts to rescue her. Am I making myself clear, wench?" he growled.

"Shut your mouth before I shut it for you," Gurka snapped, fire licking out from her fingers. "You are
not
Ga'crane," she stated flatly. "And keep your damn hands to yourself."

"Hurt me and by proxy hurt him," he shrugged. "Of course
he
would understand you mean no harm to him, but you do not have what it takes to live with it. Understand that he will take over soon enough, and if you do not want it to happen in a middle of a fight, you will not defy me."
He paused, then opened a pocket dimension and pulled out a heavy black cloak with a hood and short sleeves, barely reaching his elbows. After putting it on and donning the hood, he proceeded to take out a sword, single-edged and slightly curved - judging by the shape of it, kaldorean in origin, - resting in simple black scabbard. Its silver hilt was formed into a snake, its tongue the blade and its coiled tail the pommel. With the sword attached to his waist, he broke into a run northward.

Morec smiled and looked over at Gurka. "Technically speaking," he said, "I don't think your precious troll is on your side anymore. With that said, I don't think I have to hold anything back against you lot anymore."
The death knight snapped his fingers and a battalion of rotting corpses, some armored or armed with weapons other just your average zombie, pulled themselves out of the ground and shambled to surround Gurka and Flamehowl. "As much as I would LOVE to stay here and watch this little massacre of my minions take place, I have other buisness to attend to for the moment. Specifically speaking; I need to make a stop by Stratholme and give an order to a blacksmith. Once yall are finished here don't run anywhere, I want a go at you myself."
The death knight spurred Deathcharger and the undead steed ran towards the northwest. The zombies did not advance towards either of the living, but they did not fall. They were like soldiers awaiting orders, just waiting for one command before they attacked.

Gurka was about to snap back at the-thing-that-was-not-Ga'Crane, but was interrupted by the Death Knight's spell. "Fel..." she murmured, tightening her grip on her fistblades.

"Curse you, troll!" he growled when something hurtled him on the ground. He turned around and rolled his eyes. Much as he hated it, not only he could not harm a select few, he also could not with his inaction allow them to be hurt.
"You think you are smart?" he whispered hatefully, his amethyst eyes glowing brighter beneath the hood as he gathered up energy for a spell. "You think you got me beaten? I will have this body one day, and your laws will no. Longer. Bind. ME!"
Roaring in defiance, he shot out his hand, and a nine-tailed fiery whiplash blossomed out of his palm, scything through the ghouls.

The ghouls that were ended by Carnage's attack rotted back into the ground, the remaining ones moving to attack the once-troll. Those closests were already in mid-swing of their weapons or claws, but before they could make it any further they stopped in a dead-frozen stillness.
Morec saw what was going on through his minions, like any good necromancer would have been able to do, and what was about to happen would not go over lightly. He had already pushed his understanding with the first generation death knight to a bending point, this - wether or not the troll was the troll at this point - would not pass over well. Morec was a violent nutjob, but he was not an idiot; if Nagorm came for his head there wouldn't be a damn thing he could do about it - not yet.
The ghouls rotted away. "I'll consider this a check for now, troll," he muttered to himself. "But now it's my turn, and my knights are still bouncing all over the map and my rooks have yet to see action." He rode on.
(( A little anti-climactic, but I honestly didn't expect that sudden of a face heel turn - or whatever you're going to call it. ))

"What... Just happened?" Gurla asked, quite confused. One moment she'd been ready to call on the elements and annihilate Morec's undead, the next, the fight was over.

He clenched his fists tightly, nails digging into his palms.

"Have you no sense at all, kid?" Carnage threw his hands in the air, seething with impotent rage.
"I cannot hurt you. I cannot even touch you, in case you have not noticed. And sure as nine burning hells I am not going to let a shard of your sister linger in this world. If you do not have the guts to finish what you started,
Witchkiller
, then you can burn for all I care," he growled, turning around.

Morec continued to ride, pondering all of his options. He had probably left Russel alone with Taelani long enough, time to start on their mutual exchange of information. After that he'd check in with the gang and get to work on the full text he intended to make after getting the last key to its perfection from Russel. After that... after that came phase two.
Stratholme was just in sight now, and he rode towards it diligiantly.

"I can track them, yes," Flamehowl said, holding out his hand. A small flame appeared, which pointed in the direction they needed to go. "Let's hurry."
Without further ado, he dropped to all fours and started bounding across the land.
