The Dog Soldiers
Alterac
"Well that's what happens when elves and humans become mates." Lupe said with a smile, and started off, following behind her father and mother, while Lucas and Sirius spread out behind her, leaving her and Dawn in the most protected spot.
"And we did fight very hard against the forces of the Forsaken; their evil Queen worked with Deathwing to try to conqueror everything in the north." Lupe said, as the worgen moved from a trot into a lope. "We won with the help of the Horde forces, but we were forced to ask the good undead to leave the lands of Lordaeron, and to let the people of Theramore and others take them back." She told the girl.

The woman's cut sealed; leaving a large scar in her throat as she coughed.

Antharios staggered to his feet and leaned against the wall, sucking in large gasps of air. "Did anyone see who did this?" he called to the crowd at large.

The crowed was silent as the shock of the situation caused the woman to pass out.
Noone answered.

"My anger problem?" Ga'Crane managed to bite back an urge to spit on the ground in disgust - not because it would confirm Shade's accusations, but because Gurka was watching him. He sighed, turning to Flamehowl.
"I guess this is the part when we part," he chuckled dryly, off-handedly noticing Gurka rolling her eyes.
"I'd rather we kept communicating, but odds are I'll be staying in Orgrimmar for some time. Star-Pelt's sanctum is still vacant, though, so we can meet there every so often. So?.."

"So far this goes nearly as well as could have been expected," Corvus told Phillip as they made their way down the zigzagging caverns of Maraudon.
"Expectations include some nasty trick up their sleeve in the end, however," he added. "Unfortunately, our knowledge of the damn arthropods are limited... But I doubt we'll be actually seeing their emissary here."

"Sounds like a plan," he said with a nod. "I still have the rune to get in, and I'm fairly sure I could get in even without it. Perhaps at the end of every week, we stop by there?"

"Agreed. Until later, then," Ga'Crane said, extending his hand for Flamehowl to shake. He let his illusion drop off his limb for now.

Flamehowl clasped arms and shook briefly, giving a nod. Turning, he beckoned Adalis and gathered energy around his fingers. He sliced it through the air, and a shimmering, purple and green circle burst into life. Giving one last wave and grin at everyone, he stepped through the portal, letting it snap shut behind him.

Ga'Crane opened his own portal. However, while Flamehowl's technique resembled slicing, in his hubris the death knight's apprentice used something that could be best described as ripping. Bigger than the worgen's though his gateway was, its edges were volatile and sizzling with arcane. Taking Gurka's hand, the troll stepped through and let the portal snap shut, leaving behind a smell of ozone and a charred patch of earth.
"Feels strange," he admitted, having dropped his illusion the moment he emerged in Orgrimmar. "As if Ah'm naked."
After seeing Gurka raise her eyebrows he remembered he had modified the illusion so that she would be able to see through it. Thus, she probably had not noticed anything.
"Never mind," he muttered, heading to her home.

"Well that's good," Morec said. "Stratholme should discourage anyone for looking for you here, of course it isn't the most sutible place for your kind. Speaking of discouragement; are you really sure it was wise to let those worgen look after the girl? You had just met them, after all, and they're known for eating things-slash-people."
"Trouble, no," Amanda replied. "Infuriate is more appropriate. His kind persecuted us for years, yet the moment something goes wrong they cannont handle themselves they come to us for help as if they had been doing so all along? Hypocrites."

'
It has been a while.
'
Ga'Crane was sitting in a plushy armchair in his house, having led Gurka into hers and then spending about an hour setting up magical wards around his dwelling, so that nobody could possibly know just what he was going to do inside - all possible traces on the magical background were cut off severely. Now, for the first time in days, he let Nagorm inside his head again.
'
You have to understand, master. I have been otherwise preoccupied.
'
'
Quite so. I take it you wish to continue your studies, after all?
'
'
The book has outlived its usefulness. I need more.
'
'
I suppose I could send one of my associates to help you. His methods are severe, though. You might not like being enthralled.
'
'
As long as he or she does not kill me or injure me, I do not mind.
'
'
Very well. Prepare to open the tunnel.
'
Several seconds later, a massive Darkbone Praetorian was holding Ga'Crane in the air by his throat. It was impossible to tell what race he belonged to, being built as heavy as an orc, but without distinct sharp ears or fangs to be seen. His glowing amber eyes stared at Ga'Crane intently, and his tar black skin carried a web of tiny cracks, from which a similarly golden light was coming. He was wearing a set of heavy plate armor, angular and spiky, made of strange mirror-like metal.
"Now your apprenticeship begins, runt. You will eat when told to, sleep when told to, talk when told to, and never otherwise. Should someone visit you, you shall address me as 'Uncle Grul'Dak'. In private, you shall address me as 'Lord Aquila'."

"There are some good undead yes." Lupe said, looking over shoulder at the girl as the Worgens loped along the path. "And when I'm like this, my name is Lupe; when I'm in the human form, my name is Miranda." She told Dawn.

"I'm just saying," Morec said with a shrug, "I fought against the worgen when the Forsaken first invaded Gilneas, they can be pretty brutal should their control ever slip. And, from what I saw, it slips are the worst possible moments.
"Either way, where are you two off to now? Staying here for a while, heading northward immediately?"

"You got better, though," Corvus pointed out, then paused. His nostrils began flaring and his eyes narrowed.
"Oh no they didn't," he uttered darkly, noticeably lowering his voice. "Good thing the Prophet found out about them so soon..."
As they progressed, the plants growing out of the cavern's walls began to show signs of withering, and the ground itself seemed less colorful.

Phillip looked around as the cavern seemed to become more... artificial... "This... can't be good..." He muttered, pulling his hood up. The skull illusion formed over his face as ice armor spread over him.
