Exactly that! the problem is, when i format it like you say, all i get is a yellow text that says
Evacuation Orders
and not the name or the icon!
Something must be strange with your BBCode then.
Here are a few options to format your information:
Without using numbered lists:
Code

1.
Evacuation Orders

2.
The Swarm Begins

3.
The Hidden Master

I must admit that I just figured out how to display the code using the proper commands, so that it should be much clearer now.

Thank you for this awesome guide! It's been quite helpful.
I did have a curious question though? Is it possible to create anchors that link to tabbed content? I haven't been able to get it to work, it only detects the anchor on tabs that are opened and completely ignores the rest. I know the toc also completely ignores the tabs.
I set up a whole bunch of anchors and made a custom toc, but i really like how neat the tabs make the content.. I didn't know if it was possible to link to the tab names directly. Thoughts?

.
Also don't know if still relevant or needed, but I was able to use these for pet family icons:

I've been frustrated by this in the past too. Ideally the anchor would open the relevant tab and scroll to it - it would even be fine if anchors to text within a tab didn't work but you could anchor to a tab name (tab names should automatically be anchors like H2s and H3s are) but alas that doesn't work either.
So I feel your pain. I suggest making a thread in the feedback forum explaining the issue and seeing if you can get a spot of dev time allotted to make anchors and tabs work more functionally and intuitively.(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##

How do I have the icon and the color of the Item together? Like I can do
Dancing Flame
which will create the icon and the link but I want the color of the Item as well. I've seen other people do it but I'm still not sure how to do it myself. Edit: O_O what did I do? Lol well I guess I figured it out thanks for the codes.

That image is put in by the staff, not users.

I had the same thing happen to me. When you use something like with the numbers put in, when it's shown in the comment/forum/guide preview, it only shows something like this (item=#6785) in yellow.

That's just a quirk of the Preview, as the item etc. is not known to this page's cache yet. It will show up when you submit the post/guide, that it was linkified in the first place is proof that the syntax is ok.

Yeah I forgot to add in that comment that I had figured it out after reading Squirekels various comments on guides about leaving the url tags out.

The small icon that sits next to a tab name is missing - does anyone know what happened to it? I just noticed, and am not sure how long they have been missing.
Example:
Code:
Why is the icon not showing up?

Is there a way to add statistics to our guides yet? I would love to add a chart like in the official Wowhead post/guides or is this only a forum thing yet?

I looked into it a little when I first saw one being used and it's not something that's available to users, just staff. Sorry.

I have a mapper BBcode for my guide, it looks something like this:
NPC namecomment
My problem is I don't have the space to place the map, and shrinking it to 30px width will achieve a very ugly thing. Because of this I want to use a small image with an code but I can't get how to put the BB pins and all that stuff together into a URL. I tried several things such as etc, but these doesn't seem to work.
So basically I just want to convert the mapper BB code into an \ link. Is that possible somehow?

Hmm, I believe that should work for what you're looking for:
link to map
