Is there a way for normal users to color pins, like is seen on zone pages when you opt to show Horde-only (red) or Alliance-only (blue) content? I'm working on guides that could benefit from color-coding the pins, and I'd prefer not to mark the maps up in MSPaint and import them as images (which is the only other option I can see). I used "inspect element" on the pins on zone pages and the difference I saw between neutral-colored pins and blue (for instance) was pin=0 v pin=3 - but trying to implement that myself failed, as did trying to insert color=horde, red, q10 (BBCode for red).
Please let me know either way, and if you have a different suggestion, it'd be appreciated.

Can you please tell me what im doing wrong? I use the code for youtube videos but the only thing that appears is a huge black space where the video should be...

The bit that this tag wants is after "youtu.be/" so:
\
becomes:
\
which looks like:

if your using tables like
data1data2data3
how could you add those sort things? if you look at a NPC on wowhead for instance, then you can sort the drops by the drop rate, how do you do those data tables?

I use "data" in those examples simply in place of any content you wish to use. You can't bind directly to Wowhead's database information any deeper than simple links like \ and so on. You also can't dynamically sort BBCode tables.
Essentially BBCode tables allow access to basic HTML tables and are just a way to display things or achieve a layout, they're not data-tables.

Is there any way to make the icon a bigger size? Like you guys do with the datamined icons?

asakawa
Which icon do you mean?
Icons, as in the tag \, can be size=tiny|small|medium|large
You can use the omages from icons and make them bigger eg.
\
But as you can see the resolution doesn't improve because they're actually quite small images. You also lose the border that turns an image into an "icon" and that can't be easily scaled up.

That's not the problem, I just wanted to use some icons to make them a little bigger for my new guide that's nearly done :)

Is there a way to get an item link to show its model or a screenshot when you hover over it? I feel like it's probably something simple, but I can't figure it out.
e.g., something similar to transmog set functionality (
Deathbone Guardian
).

There isn't an easy way, no.

You can do it with a custom tooltip, but if you use it with a link, the standard tooltip will still be shown. Don't know if you can change that.

This is fantastic. It will work great for what I'm doing, but where did you find the color ("q5"). Is there a list of all the item colors somewhere?
Edit: Nevermind, I should probably look around more before I ask questions. A simple dropdown, who would have guessed? Thanks again.

Is there any way to add these cool icons in my guides to my lists
http://static.wowhead.com/images/guide/mists-of-pandaria/bullet.png
I tried different options but they won't work. Or is this disabled for the normal user :(

It's difficult to see because it's so small but one could, in theory, use them. However, if it's the things I think you mean, they were made by one of our designers for a specific purpose so I think it's probably best to leave them as something special in the context for which they were made if you know what I mean.
If you wanted to spice up your own bulleted lists though, you could make your own small .png images like that and then maybe use a table to get the indented layout. It would be a bit more work but could be really effective if done well.

I'm trying to align a small piece of text at the end of my signature to the right, on the same line as existing text.
does nothing, doesn't even register as formatting. Am I missing something, or does that only work in guides? The more common BBCode aligns in the style of
etc. doesn't exist here it seems.
You can kinda hack it with
\
but that pushes the text around in strange ways, if added at the end of existing signature before the text piece it drops down to a new line (guessing because it's a table) and does not align to anything you tell it to. If you drop it in the middle of the signature it aligns the piece of text but only within the left half of the signature field (so right ends up being somewhere in the middle) and the rest of the existing signature gets dropped down one line.
I know that
pelf
has a right aligned signature on a regular account so it should be possible, I just can't figure out how.
E// Frown. Formatting shows up in source code, pelf uses the table method but has it open ended in the start of the signature which works for aligning all of it, for me as well. Not what I was after, why can't it align part of the text? And you're using
open ended for yours, asakawa, which doesn't work at all for me. Unavailable for regular accounts?

You've basically got all the way there by yourself.
\ and \ are staff/guide-only BBCodes. Before I became a mod I used to centre my sig using a table and even now I have access \s I often find it easier to use table to achieve the kind of pedantic formatting I sometimes want.
Regarding using tables in sigs, I don't think pelf missed then closing tags from the end of his table code for any other reason than because it saves characters and because the site will close any open tags for you anyway.
I think what you're seeing (if I'm understanding you right) with the text not aligning all the way to the right is that tables default to an auto width and you need to add "width=100%" if you want to be sure it will fill the full sig width.
