Why you should NOT start leveling as an ALLIANCE!

Hi everyone, I have been playing WoW now for a year, and finally got my first char a Blood Elf Mage to lvl 70.
I originally started as a Human Female Mage, and gotta tell you that I had a best time leveling her, I thought being lvl 24 was the best thing ever, but NO! It's not! :D
Anyway, the purpose of this thread is simple, if you a newbie, like I was one day, I was drawn to aliance side imediately, because abviously I wasnted to fight for "my own kind".
However, once I would get to lvl 20+, there came problems...
1st, all the mobs on early alliance territories, are very much packed together, so it is extremely easy to gain agro from them while you fighting a mob in the area, and you end up a regular death rate.
That's why, so many players dumb they current chars and start rerolling a different one, simply because it's such a difficult chore to lvl beyond that just to gain experience. It's true, reading many threads on this forum, I saw met lot's of people who weren't able to lvl beyond lvl 30 for beyond a year (1 begger for gold even after 2 years of playing, that must suck...)
So, that creates a following problem, if you alliance, then at lvl 16+ you will be tempted to enter DM elite dungeon, and your party will often contain people who played it for months, but they still never got the grasps with agro control, team work, and especially healing and tanking procedures, so I had days when I just couldn't get a team of compitent enough people to enter it, because it would cause the whole team getting wiped.
My advice for all newbies is, if you wanna reach level 70, choose one character, and stick with it no matter what, because at some point leveling becomes a chore, rather than just passing a time or having fun, never give up, and to get the fastest and most convenient leveling to 70, roll a horde char (for advice which race for what class to use, visit wowwiki.com
I you preffer PvP style(player versus player combat), I advice you to start with mage or warlock, or if you more of the person who likes to kill mobs in dungeons, go for a char with tank: warrior, druid, or paladin (tanks are not easy to lvl, you'll need guidance on them) or for healing capabilities like priest, druid or paladin (again!), and shaman. You will however learn the most about PvE tactics from being tank, as you get the biggest responsibility in group and will learn to lead a group in no time.
So, after you pass initial quests and get to lvl 12-14, make sure to make your way to Ghostlands in Eastern Kingdoms, (near Blood Elf capital - Silvermoon, there it's an easy chore to level to lvl 20,.
Next step, join the biggest guild (by that I mean, the guild with most active current members) and seek guidance on leveling.
And remember, stick to your character and stay patient.
Hope the guide is useful for those who just started, if you have any questions about anything, I'll be revisiting this guide regularly to answer them good luck!

If you like topping scoreboards in every single BG, go horde.
If you have a brain and use teamwork go alliance! We really need it.

As a counterpoint to the OP's rambling, nonsensical post, I created my human (protection) paladin in late December, and am now level 63, largely by solo questing, without the help of a giant uber-guild. Obviously, I did group for some of the trickier quests, and instances, but it's not like it was an impossible task.

Ok, yes ally's win AV most of the time. Don't know how, if the horde does some defence it will help.
Horde is wel known to do raiding and dugeons good, Top 1 guild is horde, atleast in europe. I think its because many roll alliance and not horde. So newbies will roll alliance more and no i dont want to say that all Allys are noobs. But if you go in a raid or instance and someone does something wrong, it ofthen the new guys fault. Horde players play longer I think. Some horde players have even an ally char, but rerolled horde. Its also well know that there alot more allys than horde, so the chance you have newbies is higher.
ps 2nd best guild was an ally guild. I thought.
But i go for Horde and not for Alliance.

This is QQ, L2level =l
1-10 starter zones, easy
10-20 westfall/redridge, cakewalk
20-30 Duskwood, easy
30-40 STV, easy
etc etc etc
STV could be hard tho...STV=PVP
Ok, leveling in zones 1-20, are alright, but Redridge Mountains are the worst place to lvl while low because first, you gotta be in a group to kill orcs and do most of the quests because almost all mobs are placed in groups (gnolls and orcs and two legs I can't pronounce or spell names), secondly, while doing woods quests like killing dragons and stuff, they agro like hell, and they fire damage can kill you (and boy it killed me many times) if you just finished on one fight and moved to the other.
So from personal experience, the exp over time in Redridge would be so low, that he'd defo dump the char, seen it many times, that's a point I was trying to make.
Problem with Duskwood is that it's terribly depresing place to lvl for beginners, all dark and unlively, especially when you just came out of Goldshire or Lakeshire, your brain would tell you to seek alternatives...

IF you like PvP ... i ADVISE
NOT
to make a mage or Warlock ... Make a Druid, Hunter or Rogue
Arena ... MS Warrior - FTW
(Redridge is easy with a Paladin)
My apologies, Silenzo's right!
I rolled both mages and druids, so the way I see it for PvP enthusiasts, that - mages and warlocks, they get into a confrontational fight right away, so you get good action and adrenaline rush when confronting enemy players, whilst - rogues and druids, they use stealth (prawling behind and enemy) stun lock him, and do enough damage to play to simple take a &*!@ out of him by killing enemy with simple hits.
Both give out different thrills.
Btw, being mage or druid, I never had a hunter geared the way I am overpowering, I think they have too many weaknesses, especially against stealth.

Why not play as an Alliance? What the hell! No! No, no, no! The lot of you should play as alliance, all the time.
Without as many people playing alliance I won't have as many people to kill. >:O

FYI blood elfs are HALF alliance. So delete your stupid mage ant get A REAL mage: undead or troll, ty.
It took me half a year to get my mage to lvl 70, I'll be damned to do that again! :D But yeah, I wish it was undead I chose...
