Healers expect preferential treatment in LFDs?

No one needs preferential treatment. Period. Raids and dungeons are a team effort. No one roll is more important than another. I don't care how good the healer or the tank is, without DPS you are not going to make it. I also don't care how good the DPS is. Without solid tanking and heals you aren't going to make it either. This argument is silly.

Yes, like most of them. Sadly, there still exists Tanks who think they have the right to boss around everyone else, Healers who are the final say, and dps dinks who think they are god's gift to the game.

I could care less about buff. in fact I stop using flask and pots even in ICC25(regular) coz there is no need.
ZOMG - twice in this thread.
Will you Americans please get this straight.
It's:
I COULDN'T CARE LESS!
If you 'could' care less, it means you care a lot. So what you're saying above is that you care a lot about a buff.
Sorry, hot button of mine :)
Cheers.

I truly could care less about the subject. And apparently so could you. :P
I'm going to get some lunch, think you can hold down the fort? ;)

I happen to be one of those educated Americans who knows it's "couldn't care less." I just stopped trying to correct people because it's too widespread and ingrained. It's like saying your account got hacked. It didn't. It got stolen.
To be ignorant of one's ignorance is the malady of ignorance.

Just wondering if this phenomenon is widespread or simply a few isolated cases...
LFD. Everyone has a gearscore of 5000+, so we're cruising along. The healer types "Kings please." The ret Pally isn't paying attention, so the healer asks again. Then, 30 seconds later, the healer: "Still no Kings..."
I'm getting annoyed, so I tell the healer to just drop it. The Pally is flakey, but it's not like we need the buff. Let's just focus on the run.
The healer says that I shouldn't talk like that to the healer, "or else end up with a repair bill." I say a couple unpleasant words and stop getting healed for the rest of the instance (H UP). I just bandaged myself and popped energized regen and drank health pots.
So... healers, do you expect preferential treatment? Do you think you're special?
Heh, on my Shaman alt I did this once in a dungeon. One of the DPS was mouthing off about something... so I just stopped healing him. It's sort of ^&*!@# on my part, but it made me feel better. :)

Sorry but I would get pissd off as well if I didnt get kings after asking for it many times. It costs nothing and makes the run faster.
Its like if all melee just used auto attacks for half the dungeon. Its not like its needed to do 6k dps and get though the dungeon as no healer goes oom or lets tank die on trash anyways so why bother putting effort spamming that 1 aoe ability button anyways
A buff on the healer does not make a run go faster, unless he is dpsing too. I don't even bother to put MotW on myself when i heal because it is so easy mode now.
Moonfire, Regrowth, Rejuv, wrath wrath wrath.
That said.. as a tank, I did get kicked out of a PUG the other day because I let a DK die who was annoying me with deathgrip. Silly me, I didn't notice that all 3 dps were from the same guild LOL
But back to the OP. Buffs are entirely 'optional' for people above 4000GS. Yes, they will make the entire run 30 seconds shorter... but really, stuff dies so fast and most of the time my healer (and when I heal) are above 90% mana.

There's quite a lot of linguistic development behind that turn of phrase that you're missing. It's been theorized to have been given a Yiddish twist (much like the phrase "I should be so lucky," which in fact means that I will never be lucky). The problem is that sarcasm like that is based heavily on stress, so it does indeed look just like syntactical error when written.

There needs to a variant of Godwin's Law, if there isn't already. As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of it becoming a linguistics debate approaches 1.

Whilst Healers and Tanks shouldn't be on a power trip, there are times when people really should listen to the Tank/Healer.
Had a DPS druid the other day who kept pushing the mob out of my D&D and into other mobs, which lead to chaos followed by a wipe. I ask nicely that he stops using push, he ignores me. I then tell him to stop using push he ignores me again the third time i ask ask he starts complain how he only push them into the wall (in that instance) and how he knew how to use it (he really didn't), so I just quit at that point. Which reminds me of the main reason alot if Tanks/Healers can come across as abit bolshy is that a) it's quick to find another group and b) there are some DPS who complain about bad healers/tanks yet have no desire to step up to the plate themselfs. Yes everyones important to the group but all the while Healers and Tanks are in short supply they will continue to hold the power.
