"Preferential Treatment" my ass, he just asked for kings. If you feel the need to yell at someone, yell at the pally for not paying attention to the buff requests. Then you run your mouth and complain about him being a jerk? What the hell kind of a fantasy world are you living in?
While the paladin was an idiot, it really wasn't worth leaving the group over. It's a heroic, you can do them with no buffs...

Whenever I see this type of behavior in 5 mans I seriously contemplate dropping group the drama a freaking 5 man can generate trumps raids by about 1000 times in a time frame ratio.
One argument in a raid of 4 hours is understandable occasionally people not able to get along for 10 minutes is a freaking joke.

Whenever I play a class that can buff, I only buff the tank, if the buff benefits him/her. Why?
Because buffing dps is pointless in these levels of gear. People say that the run will be faster with buffs, but really, you spend more time walking between mobs then killing mobs. Time saved with buffs? 10-25 seconds total for the entire run imo.
Now if I see someone that is in new gear, then yes, I buff them, no matter their role.

LFD. Everyone has a gearscore of 5000+, so we're cruising along. The healer types "Kings please." The ret Pally isn't paying attention, so the healer asks again. Then, 30 seconds later, the healer: "Still no Kings..."
so you couldn't just have ignored the issue asking for kings isn't a horrible thing. I've been in LFD groups with pure idiots where we kill some of the easiest bosses imaginable with 1 person alive and boss at like 1% if we missed that buff or 2 it would've been a wipe. Point is you never know what'll happen and it is the pallies role to give out buffs.
I'm getting annoyed, so I tell the healer to just drop it.
why would you get annoyed for this he's asking the pally to press 1 button to make the run smoother
^^ this
I always buff people when I come in, it's just common courtesy. And as for reagent costs.. one Symbol of Kings will cost you a whopping 1s50c.. I think everyone can spare that and if it really bugs you just give the short version.
Depending on the groups gear and attitude.. sometimes it's actually very useful. It takes me a couple of seconds at the most, and like executor says.. some groups.. they really DO need it :p You never know what kind of group you are going to get. And when I just hit 80.. I know that my healer certainly made good use of her wisdom or mage int buff in some runs. It will take me longer to inspect everyone and make some random judgement about the groups capability beforehand, so I just buff. Buffing is part of your role, do it, it takes like 2 seconds.
That healer wasn't asking for 'special treatment' imo (though I agree the situation could've been handled better.. by multiple party members)
I generally don't mind much on my healer if I don't get the buffs, but I will ask if I feel I do need them or will ask them to change the buff if I get Might for example (surprisingly, that happens quite a lot..)
My resto shammie is well geared, and in some LFD groups I still want buffs. An example from last week: I zone in, the pala tank with starter gear and low health pool is speeding off, chainpulling because he thinks he's the king or something. The rest of the group isn't well geared yet either. The pally also sucks at keeping aggro. They all take a sh*tload of damage each pack, and there is no stopping. No buffs. This run drained my mana faster than healing intensive ICC raid bosses. So yeah, I damn well will ask that pala for my buff if he insists on running the instance like that while he isn't really geared for it. And if he then gives me some attitude about it, I will give some attitude back.
(we ended up kicking the guy after he refused to stop to res the dps he let die, and proceeded pulling the next packs saying 'lollol' when we asked him to stop for a second)
Point is, you will run into this in one way or another. Even with nice groups that are just gearing or still learning their role. Buffs are useful, it costs you no extra effort to give them out at all other than pressing one button.

Would you respond the same if he was OoMing and asked for Wisdom to keep mana breaks at a minimum? If yes, go back to soloing please.

I always buff; it's second nature to me. And I always use Greater blessings except in Trial of the Champion, since I can just refresh before each "round".

BUFFS should be cast on all members if u have them regardless of gearscore, attitude, etc there are 4/3 others in that party as well just cause 1 guy is an arse doesnt mean the rest of the group should have to take it.
some tanks think there gods gift to that instance and everyone needs to move at there pace WRONG the group moves at the pace of the entire group if healer / dps runs low on mana the whole group waits, if tank doesnt wait for heals to get mana than he deserves to die and than get kicked ( if im healing i will let you die) now there are some exceptions to the dps bieng low on mana and waiting...
if someones dead and tank runs before there rezed and healed up he can die.
if healer in group doesnt think someone should be healed than they need to be told to heal all or be kicked, i dont care if the guy was an arse dont slow down the whole group cause of it.
for the ones that dont buff ask them in a whisper why there not buffing.. they may not know how or have other reasons for not doing it.
....i have been in this situation before i asked the guy and he didnt buff one char because of a past run with char i asked him to do it just so the whole group can just get it over with faster and just put the char on ignore so u wont have to group with him any more he did and thanked me cause he didnt know that putting someone on ignore keep them from grouping up with them in the future rest of run went good and fast .
OP the heals was bad for refusing to heal and the dps was bad for refusing to buff. i wouldve kicked them both for not doing there role, yea i know u didnt want to have to wait for another dps /heals to get in group but if everyone did kick people like this than we would no longer have issues like this.
cause one day people wont buff and only heal select people and runs wont get past the first boss. than you will be back to
/2 lFG need heals tank and 2 dps for ..... must buff and heal everyone regardless of personal opinion

Yes, it's my job to heal. It's not my job to pour mana into you to compensate for stupidity. I will not heal you though poison clouds in AN, for example.
