Was it your
Metamorphosis idea
or your
Hero Class
question?
I haven't read the former because not have a Warlock above level 40, I don't frequent that forum, but the latter has been asked and answered several times, and the fact the Wowhead's Cata guide makes no mention of a new Hero Class, and Blizzard' own Cata FAQ says they didn't plan on adding one per expansion, people are going to be less than civil in new topics.

Lol, i'm assuming this is in response to the flaming you received on your warlock thread.
Having a warlock tanking? Great idea..... I can see why you were insulted.
I read through that post and several times you said "this is why
I
want this. Basically, you are posting on a discussion board and not being open to other people's ideas.
Yeah, I'm reading it now. Once you're here long enough you realize that some topics are prone to flaming, but any topic gets flamed when you shoot down discussion points.

To be fair, that idea has come up too many times to count on the warlock board. Some people are just not interested in hashing it out again.

People like to bash stupidity with rudeness.

Because they get that same treatment at home and don't have the balls to retaliate so instead they come here to express it.

I just read the meta topic on the lock forum, all I can say is LOL. You calling people "supernerds" isnt going to get you any respect either, just being called a worthless troll.

I like that you complain here on general, when you post the topics in other forums.

But the trolls had a critical mass to stop real ID. Now we're stuck with them, once more.

Trolls 1...Blizzard 0
You can't seriously believe the implementation proposed was a good idea.

Fixed that for you.
The 'poseur' forum trolls would have left.
The real "forum trolls" would have continued right on trolling - either under their real names, because they don't care (what 'implications was Blizzard suggesting? That forum-goers would go vigilante?), or under false names (since Blizzard does allow people to change their account names based on the credit card paying for the account). Why do they care that you know their real name?
A number of non-troll posters would have left the forums because they don't want their real names out there.
And a new breed of trolls would have grabbed peoples' real names from the forums and started harassing them offline.
What Blizzard wanted to accomplish - accountability for posts by tying together all posts under one name - will be accomplished by the suggested changes (using a single posting name for all posts), without the above security concerns.
What Blizzard won't accomplish was their true goal for these changes - BlizzBook. I'm fine with that, thanks.

Why thank you. :D I posted those topics in other forums first and was appauled at the jackassery. I could have posted in those forums respectively, but I'm sure people prefere I do it this way instead, don't you agree?
The same people post in this forum too.
Maybe so, but that shouldn't justify the responses I got. If they don't like it, they can either post a civil and constructive response or leave it alone, instead of attacking it like a pack of brain-dead hyenas.
Most of the responses I see on your Meta topic are somewhat civil.
I wasn't open to other peoples' ideas? I was the one who HAD the idea. They had no ideas - only... very defensive nature torwards my idea. VERY defensive. As if I had insulted their theoretical significant other. If they had ideas, I would have been willing to listen to them. I could even accept criticism. But not when it comes from a bunch of people acting like children.
Most of the posts I see also put forth discussion topics.
