Eh, they can't really just do whatever they want, even if it is their game. Let's say for instance you own a grocery store. It's your store. If you choose to refuse service to black people, you're going to have a huge legal problem on your hands. You can't just say, "It's my store and I can do whatever I want." Not in America at least.
And as much as I would like to believe that they care about all their customers, I haven't gotten a single useful reply from them. In fact, my last two emails to account administration went completely unanswered save for the automated reply to tell me they received it.
I'm still trying to call them, but I still can't even get into the queue. They must have really ruffled people's feathers somehow.

As an aside, this is part of the problem in America. You SHOULD be able to do that and let the market decide. If you own a grocery store and refuse to serve black people it SHOULD be your right, but it should also be the right of the community to choose not to do business with you because of it, forcing you to either change your policy or go out of business.
In WoW, there's no such thing. We are at Blizzard's mercy, no matter how stupid their decisions are, and the only alternative is to not play. That's not right in any context. As paying customers we should be able to protest enough to get a bad policy to change, not be forced to take it because the company in question basically says "Screw off, peons. We're in charge here not you."

I have a feeling that the op is nott telling us everything as blizz wouldn't suspend you just for being in a gdkp run unless something else was amiss.
Now i know this may be a little contradicting to my post on the first page but now that i have mulled this over ( yes i have a lot of time on my hands between rushes at work) i think that the op is at fault for something other then being in a gdkp run or being Asian/from a Asian country.

Do I strike you as a liar, or are you just so sure that Blizzard is infallible that you think there's no way they could ever screw anything up? And on that note, what would be the point of my making so much noise, sending off emails to both account administration and a GM, and trying over and over to call Blizzard if I was the one at fault? You do know that they have server logs of everything you do in game, right?

Well your on the internet everyone strikes me as a liar unless proven otherwise, in this case the email saying the reason why you were suspended would suffice. The second part of your answer is kinda implied. As for the third part for all i/we know you were trying to sell the gold and your making this stuff up so we can feel sympathy for you as even for blizzard this is a lousy reason for suspending someone. Yes i do know they have server logs of everything although it is my understanding that they can not share them with you.

Blizzard never said outright that it was because of my location. However, it's absolutely impossible for me to believe it was for any other reason. And it wasn't one suspension. It was many, over a very short time period. They said the same thing every time:
This suspension happened because one or more characters on the account were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for ""real-world"" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.
My account has never been compromised, and I'm not so incredibly absent minded that I don't know what transactions I do with my own gold. I can identify the source of each suspension (a total of 5 in three weeks). The most recent one occurred minutes after transferring gold from my alt to my main on the same account. I know it was from this because I did nothing else with gold that day that would even show up as a blip on Blizzard's radar. Each gold dkp run I've been in has also resulted in a suspension, while no other person who attended these runs was suspended for it, even though there were certainly higher rollers than myself in there.
No, they would never admit to their discrimination, but when I get suspended for doing things that don't seem to be a problem for anyone else, and a GM has harassed me in game because of my location before (even when I was a dirt poor noob), then there really isn't much other explanation. The fact that they have outright refused to answer my questions, even after a GM gave me his email as an obviously token gesture, means that they're either trying to hide the fact or that they don't care.

Ok im going to call bs here unless you can provide a screen shot because unless a gm wants to get fired they will not harass players.

I have a whole new operating system and game installation since then, and even if I didn't, I didn't think it would be a problem after they determined I was an actual person, so I never took a screen shot. And it wasn't a problem until three weeks ago. Actually, call whatever you want. I've spent way more than enough time arguing with someone who has no other purpose than to attack me. I'm going to go ahead and willfully ignore your further replies to this topic.
There's disagreeing with my standpoint, which I can totally understand, and then there's what you're doing. It's not worth the time it takes to mentally translate the jumbled mess of poor grammar and lack of punctuation just to realize that I'm being insulted.
Sure, plenty of people have pointed out that it's entirely possible that I'm doing something wrong (or if not wrong, at least something that could be done differently to avoid being mislabeled). If anyone would like to tell me exactly what I could do differently on my end to not get suspended, I'd love to hear it. If it would make my issue go away without having to deal with the failure that is account administration, fantastic. I've provided all the details I thought were relevant. If you think otherwise, please tell me. But don't just say that I'm withholding information. I don't know what you want me to tell you when you say that. Do you want my login info? My favorite color perhaps? My cell phone number?
And if I sound ungrateful for the help provided by some of you, well, I'm not. I'm tired. I'm tired of staying up until 4am to try to call customer service and not even getting into the queue. I'm tired of not getting an answer that means anything from account administration. Most of all, I'm tired of getting suspended. It's just a game, and I'm at the end of my rope here. Something is going to have to give soon. As much as I like being able to spend time with my overseas friends (even if it's only in a game), there isn't much patience left in me.

You always take your own proof of bad customer service. When it's angry customer's word against employee's word, most of the time supervisors believe their employees unless there is proof to the contrary; honestly, people in your shoes will say just about anything to get what they want. I work in customer service, I've seen people try and turn my own words against me without realizing they are complaining to the same person.
Another generalization: most people who are fed up with poor customer service stop giving money to the company. It won't likely make them change their ways, and it certainly won't hurt their business, but you would likely feel a lot better.

And explain to me, again, what hes going to get by lying here? This isnt a official forums, so it's not like lying about the situation is going to do him any good.
So tell me, what EXACTLY is he going to get by lying about this?
honestly, people
in your shoes
will say just about anything to get what they want
Not saying he's making it up. I'm saying that if you want to lodge a complaint that won't just be your word against theirs, you provide proof in your favor. People who feel wronged sometimes leave out part of the story, and that's why supervisors are more likely to believe the employee than the angry customer, especially without proof of wrongdoing.

I'd really like to see how Blizzard resolve this, so please keep us updated.
