... Hmm, maybe someone should do a Gnub Q&A, seems like we're moving slightly into Off-Topic now.
I think ArgentSun might get jealous ;)
And that's - in my opinion - a good thing. It's hard to otherwise "learn", if you catch my drift. I have indeed made a few overzealous actions in the past (
one leading to the Advertisement-update
), and that only happened because of feedback like that - from you, on top of that. :)
Sorry if Gorefiend and I came down a bit harsh - no hard feelings, I hope! Just doing my bit to try to keep this a great community :)

And we wouldn't want
that
, now would we? ;)

No problem at all. It was critique, and it was handled - although I do remember the feeling of being violently attacked by hungry vultures. It's cool, everybody won in the end. Keep it up, it's good to have meta-moderators around, hehe :)

I have 95 pages of Q&A, son. I won't get jealous until you hit your 70th page.
In fact, I am kind of flattered. Gnub is a lot more active on the forums that I am, yet it was my name that got mentioned alongside his when speaking of... well, popularity. Also, I do a lot more silent moderation. And most of my efforts have been concentrated around
playing Cataclysm Beta and SC:II
updating the Cataclysm Guide and working on some other more content-oriented stuff (like updating Halion's and the Lich King's pages 3 times a day).
I think I'll be perfectly fine having Gnub steal my position as champion of the people... eventually :P
P.S.

we should lock those threads as well. But usually the moderators they are directed at get to them before Malgayne does, and we like to handle things publicly. We've got nothing to hide - my personal philosophy is that if I mess up on duty, I completely deserve the humiliation of having to admit that in front of everyone, as well as apologize and take the appropriate actions.

Understood. Glad to hear you're happy (for the most part) with our work. :)

Let's get it started then? 70 pages is ... a silly lot of questions though. :O

For some reason, I keep hearing
Eadric the Pure
's
"Are you up to the challenge?!"
. Must be the inner Paladin that shines through. We all know that Shamans are better than Paladins though... or well, eventually will be. However, I am up for it - but it's not going to be easy. Then again, I've only been with the staff for ~2 months. :)

You're not alone on that part - I specifically remember when I necro'ed a thread myself... in the wrong way. There was pointing and laughing. :P
I have nothing against
Grub
(...)
RAGE!
:<
(...)or any other of the forums mods/staff, I think you guys do an awesome job. It just really bugs me when members of the forum try to kiss up to the mods by posting against the OP of any type of anti-mod thread, and then make threads to praise them (please note I am not referring to anyone in this thread).
.. ahem
. Agreed. I'm - quite obviously, as most people - fond of praise, but it can be overdone, without doubt. Sucking up is one thing, but seeing true praise is really joyful. Sentient wildebeest is sentient.
On topic, you deserve teh gr33n t3xt

Glad to hear - and that the correct spelling was finally found, hehe. <3

I should probably note here that professionalism is what I am going for. The end justifies the means, only in a working environment. Knowing that I am mostly a serious and sober man, I could feel only satisfaction that those valuable traits of mine are being displayed properly in an online community. The downside is that my sarcasm fails often :(

What up wit' dat?
huh? no idea - a glitch I guess. As for the title itself, it originates from
this thread
. Had a lot of fun there.
Gnubby, no offense, but it took me a bit longer to become acclimated to your moderation style. But now that I have, I really like it. You do your job well, and you're also a part of the user community.
In the end, you appear to be more approachable, and Sun appears to be more professional.
But in combination, on a single team, it's pretty awesome to see that kinda of diverse spectrum of people all working towards the same goal.
It's how I roll
*bro-hoof*
. "Instead" of being purely a rock-solid Moderator, I mix in my personality (and thus how I really am), and feel like writing. In a working environment, I can easily switch back and forth from either side, and that has usually given good working atmosphere for co-workers (and myself). Being serious doesn't have to be boring and without its laughs - not that I'm accusing Argent of being that, at all :)

Gnub is a wildebeast irl.
It's true. Any picture of a human (although, he's a fine representation of how I would look in human form), is a merely my slave, that allows me to properly function in a world dominated by humans.
I wish Gnub COULD be at blizzcon, just so we have proof that he is not infact a senient wildabeast with a computer
Sec, let me get you a picture of me
Actually
no
nevermind
I like that we have a sentient wildabeast on the team
it amuses me
I didn't say that measly human that pretends to me
I mean *ME*
sigh Noxy
I'm so confused right now.
Noxy when aren't you confused?
I'll add a bit to that in a few seconds Noxy
... Well
... hm.

I beg to differ - it's generally not a thread aimed at a mod (which would be against the terms of use), it's a thread seeking feedback on why X thread was locked (which isn't against the terms of use).
Knowing that I am mostly a serious and sober man, I could feel only satisfaction that those valuable traits of mine are being displayed properly in an online community. The downside is that my sarcasm fails often :(
I see what you did there.... :P
Having said that, I appreciate the professional style, but perhaps that's just how I roll too. Or maybe it's just the Paladin in me that hero-worships our primary moderator representative. <3

That's awesome :D
Anyway, in terms of moderator styles, I've noticed Queggy trying to strike a balance between both of you. He's still a very forum community oriented guy (I mean, come on, a moderator promoted from Randomness!), but he strives to be very professional in his moderation.
(Yes, ArgentSun, we miss you in our discussions. It'd be nice if the great Tirion of Wowhead could come join us every now and then again :))

I must admit I have forsaken the Paladin forums a little. How could I refuse such a call though? :)
I do visit the Lore however. It's just that the majority of the threads are still stories and I have no business - or time - there.(##RESPBREAK##)140##DELIM##ArgentSun##DELIM##
