Oh, I won't. But, being nice is still something. Simply point to the Helpful Threads (or something similar) - or don't help at all. Going all out flaming is not helping anyone (except yourself for airing your fustrations - which the forums isn't intended as). Trust me, I know how you feel - but yeah, keep it civil.

A few things reading through all the whining.
To you veterans who are a wealth of knowledge: If you've got a problem with someone who you believe didn't do the research, is someone actually ( i think someone mentioned this ) holding you at gunpoint to respond? Why not just ignore the post and move on? Its very easy actually.
And also to the vets. Think of it as this way. You generally have more than 100 posts, have very nicely geared toons in wow and quite a bit of knowledge about certain subject matter. You spend a lot of time playing/surfing forums. We on the other hand (n00bs, myself included) generally don't have a lot of play time nor a lot of time to spend digging for answers to specific questions. We are not going to waste that limited time doing research when the more efficient route would be to just post a question for you vets to answer...regardless if it has been answered 2-10 times before. We know you will be here lurking to flame/answer us so whats the point digging in the first place?
And finally, for us n00bs, keep on posting! We'll get our answers lol

I agree with you that it sucks when same questions comes over and over again.. But then again. the druid forum.. what is it.. 499 pages of topics..
I dont whana defend who ever post an topic that is put down 1000 times.
but wouldnt it just be easyer just to ignore that post then ? instead of HAFTO post something mean and totaly waisted of both time and forum space..
IF someone whana type for the 300 times the answer.. well let them. if you are annoyed about it. just ignore it.
Thats how i think atleased.

It's the well written and composed threads that get us confused and we forget to curse at them.
Amen. I think every one of us is going to be at least mostly kind to anyone who surprises us with their composition.
All in all, though, I like the Wowhead forums a lot. They have a different feeling than any other forums on which I've been a regular. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'd be safe in saying it's a combination of a lot of little things.

Relax, not everyone is WoW 24/7.
Too bad not everyone is "BRAIN 24/7". The "veterans" are
far
from "WoW 24/7". They are, however, "Brain 24/7". People like you don't seem to comprehend that, apparently.
Then again... It's not bad at all. What would we "nolifer WoW veterans" do without n00bs to flame around on forums? Oh, the drudgery!
Seriously guys, take a chill pill and learn to disseminate between simple flaming and acid jokes mixed up with actually useful information. I still think all others that "try and be nice to the n00bs and create an enjoyable atmosphere" around here are pussies. Yes, that means
pelf, curlymon, Nnoutaja
. Probably others. As always,
foleynuts
comes strong, I simply love this guy. Or... Well at least I think he's a "he". Uhm... Nevermind.
Also, one more thing about "veterans being civil to n00bs".
We on the other hand (n00bs, myself included) generally don't have a lot of play time nor a lot of time to spend digging for answers to specific questions. There is one small difference between a newb and a n00b. The OP here does come through as a newb, I admit. That is a player that's new to the class, learning, and also has some brains that he likes to use. So let's say I apologize for being "rude". But also notice that I also did answer his questions. That was not a simple flame...
Flaming is for n00bs. That is, idiots that come here and ask absolutely f**king dumb questions about matters that would take only a few minutes of actually reading some ability tooltips in game and putting some neurons and synapses to work. Really. Someone that takes a couple of minutes to write a bloody stupid question and doesn't even bother to read the text and actually realize the enormity of the bullcr*p he/she just typed deserves to be flamed and put to god damn shame. Simple as that. And should he/she feel butthurt because of it, I say the traditional
G T F O!
Oh, and one more thing. If every time you find yourself (here I am addressing to any potential "n00b" visitor) in a bit of a difficulty, the first thing you do is come here and ask to be spoon fed the obvious, then this is a serious reason to ask yourself why the f**k do you still have that organ called "brain" in your cranium? But probably you are one of those that doesn't "play a game" (since this actually implies a degree of intellectual effort that brings satisfaction once it's indulged), but rather simply needs just something that doesn't need thinking but makes him feel good about "killing" some "monsters" and getting some "epic gear" for his "toon".
Have a nice evening and please, stop all this useless babbling ^_^ Yes, I am nice. To people that actually show some brains and common sense.

I feel it's because we butt heads as often as we back down from an idea. We listen respectfully to interesting topics and shoot down ones that are obviously not. It's a community of respect that is earned through experience and a common ground.
The big difference I see here is that there is no LongtimePosterA vs LongtimePosterB faction crap and anyone with a thick skin and a fair bit of humility is more then welcome to join in on anything.
