Did the latest info released upset you?

There were alot of ups and downs for the info that was recently released, so here's my opinion:
inscription--
inscription is broken enough as it is as far as income goes, and it was stated in the info packet that glyphs may become permanent - making glyphs permanent will make the situation worse and will invalidate inscription as a viable profession to make money off of.
guild stuffs--
I am disappointed that blizzard saw it fit to remove guild talents, but this -may- be compensated for by the whole "guilds advance in level and get new stuffs" thing - depending on wether or not blizz saw it fit to remove most of the benefits from guild talents to begin with in favor of more passive and less interesting things. dunno what will happen with that, too early to judge, but i see that as a possibility.
path of the titans--
path of the titans, i saw that coming. it was pretty clear the paths were getting split into "this is for tanking, this is for caster dpsing" etc, i saw this being removed a long time ago.
new quests--
i'm excited about alot of new quests... not like i'll be able to do most of the lower-level ones, though.
on that note, i hope blizzard removes the cap at 10 characters per server and bumps it up to say, 12 or 13. this has been the constant since vanilla wow, and new races have been added in, two new classes (death knights, and the pally / shammy depending on if you played alliance or horde) and now you can make ally and horde on the same server. TOO LITTLE SPACE ON THE CHARACTER CREATION LIST!
raiding--
i still think raiding in 25 mans will be completely obselete.. and now i have a figure to back that up.. it was mentioned that the loot would be increased by about 50%
10 man raid, 10 people, increase loot by 50% and translate it into people = 15 people total (added 5). but... to get the increase of 50% for loot, you need to add... 15 people, three times the added ammount. (to run the 25 man raid and get that 50% increase)
going to 25 mans will DECREASE your chance to get loot, even though more items are being dropped. unless 25 mans drop above 150% more loot than the 10 man counterpart, there will be zero point in forming 25 man raids.
it's allways exciting to hear about new content that's going to be put in, but honestly, this announcement didn't excite me - the benefits were tempered by the flaws.
what do -you- think?

Inscription is atm the in the top 2 best money maker (with JC). So I dont see what you means by "will make things worst than it is". The situation is very good atm and you talk like inscription was bad.

It wont change much if anything. Instead to choose between 2 talent when your guild level up (and your guild would end up with the same talent anyway because someone will find the best pattern and everybody would use it), you are now forced to 1.

I totally agree with this one. My 12th lvl 80 is on his way and its annoying to have to split my characters between 3 different servers.

You got it wrong. It wont drop 50% more loot. It will drop 50% more loot PER PLAYER.
Fictive example to make it easy to understand:
10 man = 5 loot (0.5 loot per player)
25 man = 12-13 loot (0.5 loot per player)
25 man with 50% = 18-19 loot (0.75 loot per player)

This.
Guild Leveling and Path of the Titans were nice ideas on paper, but I kind of felt like they were just extensions to the talents we already have right now and would make things even more complicated than they already are. In other words, a "take this Path and these talents, otherwise you are a horrible player and you need to respec" system like GC mentioned. I like how Blizzard is keeping it simple as far as talents go. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

I don't think that it can be avoided, honestly. Once the power gamers and min-maxers like Elitist Jerks runs their simulations and crunches the numbers there will be "official" must-have specs, must-have gear, must-have glyphs, etc., etc,...
There's just not much Blizz can do to stop it.
Of course not. But we already have that with the talent and glyph systems that are currently in place, so why add another thing to min-max, right? Especially something that is so similar to talents already. I'd rather they improve the current talent system over adding new things to theorycraft about.
I actually wouldn't mind if they don't add new tiers for talents at all and just focused on balancing the existing ones. Maybe combine two or more existing talents into just one talent to make room for new talents, that way we don't have super deep talent trees but still get the perks, and make the benefits of going deeper into a tree increase exponentially; the final-tier talents right now are a bit lackluster when you consider that they're all the way at the bottom. Combining multiple talents and adding new talents deep in the tree would solve this and give more incentive for speccing deep into one tree, and would reduce a player's ability to do a "half and half" spec which would allow them to effectively play more than one role. Versatility is great, but I don't think that a player should be able to be the best at any two roles with just one spec.

They were never even going to do this. Their "new thing with talents" was exactly that that there wouldn't be any new tiers of talents, just the older ones revamped.
Ah okay. I haven't been actively keeping up with Cataclysm news, just whatever I stumble upon every now and then. Thanks for the info.
