Pictures! Of Grim Batol and the potential fight area.
Well my two cents. Probally some sort of dragon experiments. Like when Deathwing did. So, perhaps Cho'gall is experimenting on twilight and blacks? Who knows.
Holy crap.
Those are some HUGE eggs.

:O
lol.
Those are huge.
At first they seemed like regular eggs then at the last picture I was like, "OH SNAP."

The eggs' size all help to give perspective of how big the circular platform (where I suppose we will fight the boss) is.

Those are Twilight Dragon eggs! And a lot of them!
Oh sh-
Not necessarily. Go to Blizzard's page,
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm/features/grimbatol.html
, and click on the picture of General
Vezax the Second
Umbris to enlarge it. What do we see? The same eggs. It seems weird that a Faceless General would be guarding Twilight Eggs...
Essentially, this place is what happens when a bunch of evil guys make alliances with or capture every other evil guy in the game, and stick 'em in one dungeon. I would agree that it us unlikely that they're dragon eggs. No dragon eggs currently ingame are transparent or gigantic and full of tentacles. Grim Batol is 'cursed' according to lore and mutated the previous dwarven residents into horrible Skardyn(making people in scaley abominations is totally Old God). And as a base of the Twilight Cult this all supports the idea that the eggs are Faceless Ones or other large minions of the Old Gods and unrelated to dragons.

Grim Batol is the base of Deathwing.

There is more Twilight cultist in there than Black Dragons it seems. They are first and foremost servitors of the Old Gods, they might have allied with Deathwing only because he brought world-wide destruction when he emerged from Deepholme. Probably Deathwing doesn't know about cultist works with the Old Gods in Grim Batol.

Grim Batol.
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
Cataclysm This section concerns content exclusive to Cataclysm.
The arrival of the Twilight's Hammer, a sinister cult who worshipped Azeroth's malefic Old Gods, seduced by Deathwing's thirst for absolute domination over Azeroth, has claimed the Twilight Highlands as its base of operations. The black dragonflight has driven off the agents of the red dragonflight who guarded Grim Batol so that it may be used as a fortress for training Deathwing's minions. The halls of Grim Batol run so deep into the highlands that it is unknown to what twisted end the Twilight's Hammer is using this doomed dwarven marvel.
Called to action by the red dragonflight in the Twilight Highlands, adventurers will be charged with putting a decisive end to the foul machinations developing within. The army within is lead by General Umbris.

As it says, the Twilight's Hammer is using it for an unknown purpose. The blacks are only using to train Nelth's minions (this minions which could be blacks, twilight dragons or something else). It not impossible for the cultist to be working on something (the horrifying secret) unbeknownst to Deathwing.

Tempest keep/The sunwell/My head being decapitated/Blackrock dephs was merely a setback. Do you think I trusted my fickle retconns to some fat, smelly, two headed orge? Oh no no no.

Now I'm just pondering this a bit... With Deathwing's constant search for the "perfect race" of dragon, how long is it until the pure strain black dragonflight becomes unneeded? Perhaps there will be a coup of some sort as he goes about nomming on the souls/life energies/whatnots of the black dragons and the ones that do survive hold a bitter grudge against him. Maybe they could be the possible savior of the earthwarder position. Pure speculation, not even datamined or anything.
The Blacks are his body and souls, they'll do whatever he tells them to do.
