Bear agi vs. stam

I was doing a Rawr Optimize for my bear friend and for some reason it told us that he should replace all hes +stam gems for +agi and a few +agi/stam. I don't play a druid myself and he was unable to explain why, so i turn to you guys. Why is agi more important than stam? Is it due to something scaling with agi?
He went from 58482 hp and down to 49922 while only increasing hes dodge with 4.684%. That seems kinda wrong. Or at least like agi is doing something better i just cant spot.
I apologize if its already answered elsewhere.
Armory link if needed.

losing almost 9k hp for ~4.7% dodge seems like a terrible idea. hope that lil experiment didnt hurt his gold stock too badly.

Thanks for the answers.
It bugs me a bit that Rawr values agi more then stam for him. Does anyone have a idea why?
I normally put allot of stock in Rawr for my mage.
@ Parrazell: I think the dodge % is fairly good so ill tell him to keep hes stam gems.
@ Falkor: We only did the experiment in Rawr. For some reason i had trouble convincing him he should do +agi instead of +stam :)

You were totaly right Mikeliverpoolfc. With the survival settings set as you suggested, it ended up with only 1 +stam gem changing to +stam/agi.
Thanks alot.

RAWR optimizes gear assuming that dodging more hits and taking less overall damage is preferable to just being able to take more hits, dodging less frequently, and taking more damage over time. In a world where mana is an issue for healers, that is valid. But we all know that few healers are running out of mana right now, so being a mana sponge is not a problem. Being able to take several hits is preferable to being able to take fewer hits before death and hoping that you dodge some of them. Yes, you might be lucky and dodge a whole string of hits and the healer won't have to heal you. But there's also going to be times where you fail to dodge a hard hit three times in row and you're dead.... and had you stacked stamina instead of Agility for the dodge, you'd have been able to survive three hits.
Another thing about RAWR that's important to know is that the default raid damage level is low. I think it defaults to Naxx or Ulduar level damage? So it has a certain amount of health you should have, beyond which it will tell you to gem for avoidance (agility). If you increase that to the maximum raid level, it will make the threshold much higher.
But regardless of that, it's been discussed and theory-crafted
ad nauseum
and the general consensus is that, in WotLK, it's just simply a better idea to stack stamina over avoidance. I usually only put a Shifting Dreadstone in a red socket if the socket bonus is +8 Agility and just stack all Stamina gems now. It took me a while before I saw the validity of this method, as I had my formative tanking experience in Burning Crusade where we balanced Agility and Stamina. But it seems to work!
