Oil tastes gross by itself, it's only good if you use it for cooking, or put it on a salad, which obviously cannot be done in this situation.

Why can't it be done in this situation? Take it OUT OF THE OCEAN, and put it in a pan. Or salad, whatever floats your boat.
Damn, I am a genius.

That might seem like a good idea in theory, but it just isn't a practical solution. How would the food be distributed to all the animals underwater?

That'd be a somewhat intriguing solution. Dump lettuce and other such matter into the Gulf of Mexico to help absorb the oil...

Do it. Watching you eating fossil fuels would be amusing. We could even recreate that scene from Three Kings if you want.
Well obviously you wouldn't use the oil as is. It would first have to be refined into olive oil, or something like that.

I'm sure we could find a way. I mean honestly, how hard could it be to give the food to the animals in the water? OR OR OR, you could just give it to them in the water straight up. I mean, oil doesn't mix with water, you said so yourself. Just give it to them. Put an anvil or something on it to make it sink.

Put an anvil on oil and make it sink? That doesn't even make sense.

Nonono, the food, with the oil on it. It's a very good idea you just have to be educated to realize it.

Honestly, it might be easier to just pump more water into the ocean to wash all the oil away.

That's a reasonable thought, but it's worth the little bit more work to feed those poor starving African sea animals.

You guys are stupid. Kevin Cosner is going to come with his oil-eating machine, aka
this guy
, and save the day.
That's just some overweight guy eating some sort of dead animal on a bun.

Africa doesn't exist underwater.
Or does it?
Hmm... there's the African tectonic plate. But Laihendi doesn't think there is the same hunger problem there as on the land-based part of Africa.

Here's an idea.. remember.. this is just an idea...
why don't we just nuke it?

Well the goal is to save life, not destroy it.

No one needs to know.
And how will we get all the water we need to push the oil away?
Post by

From the atlantic ocean, of course. It's right next door.

Oh. You just have a back up plan for everything, don't you? What would I, and the Gulf of Mexico, do wtihout you? :)
