I think it's a sign of their greed, that Blizz will make pets to sell, for money, but they snubbed the Canadian Olympics.
Maybe they'll make one for the World Cup.
Doubt it.

Blizzard is a company, they want to make money. Yes it sucks that we didn't get a new Olympic pet(wanted my Moose), but would have been nice to add the Spirit of Competition tabbard back in.

Blizzard is only doing pets/events for the
summer
Olympics.
But yeah, GC promised me a pony.
And as Adam said, Blizzard is a company, now owned by activision. I'm sure the CEO's at Activision want to see as much money out of Blizzard as possible.
I pray for the day Blizzard becomes it's own independent company again. Activision is dragging Blizzard through the mud.

Last i heard, companies making money was a GOOD thing.
Think about it this way, if you decide to buy a pet, u get a shiny new bunch of pixels, blizz can then use the money u paid for those pixels to make more shiny pixels, which causes people to pay a subscription so that they can obtain those shiny pixels, thus allowing blizz to make even more shiny pixels...
(do you see where this is going)

Of course them making money is a good thing. Activision is still dragging Blizzard down though, that companies bad habits are pretty well known and people are assuming everything Blizzard does is because Activision is such a bad company. If Blizzard splits I bet we see even better things come out of them.
