If you're hoping for SL/FG go
This
. It's a decent build and start towards siphon life at level 71. Go for
this
at level 71

Yeah you need to actually get the FG before the SiLi or it just fails. Otherwise the talents you chose arn't too bad.

i disagree.
the FG is actually relatively unimportant to the SiLi/FG playstyle. SiLi on the other hand is the cornerstone.
CoA is super important and should be improved and master conjurer is too nice now to pass up.
however
, SiLi/FG is a build that basically plays like affliction but takes some nice passive bonuses from demo along with a cleaving pet. before both FG and SiLi are available together you should just play deep affliction if that's the playstyle you enjoy. if you're aiming for the hybrid build because you like demo then just go deep into demo.

between SiLi and FG i'm saying that i SiLi is the most important part of the playstyle BUT you'll notice that after saying that i also said that without both the concept fails.
now, regarding the relative importance of the two talents in question, i think SiLi is the most important by a LONG way since that playstyle involves the master tanking not the pet.
the reason the whole idea first came up was because this method of mass pulling no longer
required
improved howl of terror to be viable. before the change to pushback it was likely that you would not be able to cast HoT at all with several mobs hitting you. when this changed it allowed a complete rethink of the important talents.
the requirement for this is that you have enough spellpower for corruption and CoA (and SiLi when i was doing it) to kill the mobs. the strength of affliction is in lowering that requirement. the strength of demo is the ability to easily deal with elites and group quests. if the requirement is met either way then affliction brings relatively little.
a spec without the FG functions the same way (i suggest using a succubus for grinding and a VW for elites) whereas a spec with FG but no SiLi is just a demo build.
just to reiterate. before you can get both you shouldn't be levelling this way. if you liekt he playstyle represented by SiLi/FG then just play deep aff for now.

Silly me.
