I do a mix of both binding and clicking plus macros. It works well for me and untill I explained to people in my guild I suffered from a spinal injury which has nerfed my sensation in my fingers and my endurance they would have been none the wiser, which I took as a big compliment. Also with the amount of pain killers I have to live on I am normally pretty light headed so I find remembering bindings in the thick of a boss fight a nightmaire. Only way I could describe it is try doing a 4.20 none stop for a few months and then raid on it.
I use the G15 keyboard and the G9 mouse with it's extra features it makes it alot easier to play IMO and allowes people to find another solution to just binding or just clicking.

The related issue to clicking / keybinding is: are you a haste based caster?
Melee classes have a GCD of 1.5 seconds, unaffected by haste. Casters can get the GCD down to 1.0 second, but ideally the next spell should be clicked after 800ms (so WoW will queue it and you'll lose 0ms dps time), I'd assume having to devote that much attention to the action bar to keep a good rotation would greatly reduce raid awareness.
Rogues have a 1 sec GCD from level one. One of the reasons I like my rogue so much :)

As far as im concerned i feel like macros make certain aspecs of game play i.e dpsing, too easy.Intentionally playing non-optimally
does
make the game harder, but at the expense of effectiveness.
i.e. You're gimping yourself.
Blizzard does a good job of making sure macros don't do anything unfair, but some things that are off the global cooldown really should be put into macros unless you have 10ms ping at all times (wtb your lan to blizzard if you do)

I am admittedly a clicker, and admittedly not particularly good at PvP. My main interest is PvE, so I am quite sure that even if I change up and learn the keybind thing, I will be average at best in PvP. A buddy of mine couldn't care less about PvE, he plays this game for the PvP. I will bet money on him versus anyone whether he is clicking, keybinding, on a gaming mouse/KB, on a laptop, and possibly even blindfolded. It really doesn't make much difference, you just have to pick one method and get comfortable with it.

all i am saying is to me personnaly i think macros do take sum aspec of the gameplay out, and i no blizz have been great with the macros but for ME
its takes natrual gameplay aspecs out of it.
Maybe I just don't know what you're talking about. Give me an example of this.

well like have lantency not being perfect it makes things harder when u have to do more to be the best i just think macro give you a easier route to the perfect answer when u can press one button and use 6 dam spells.
Misconceptions
You have them.

No he doesn't, didn't you hear that macros get rid of the GCD and immediately take all interaction out of the game?

You're going to confuse him with sarcasm.
