Well I was a clicker on my warrior for a long long time.
Then I switched to a mage and I no longer click.

I've often wondered what the anti-clicking crowd thinks of Healbot's functionality. It's generally welcomed with opened arms. It is, technically clicking to use spells, but it's doing it in the most efficient way possible. It's like using context sensitive keybinds bound to mouse buttons.War does not determine who is right, it determines who is left.
If you have read/heard this before and know who said it, you can call yourself mildly smart!I know this is off topic, but this is totally the kind of quote they show you in call of duty when you die. And because of that, I find it amusing. Though I'm pretty sure they haven't ever actually used this particular Russel quote. Though if they had, I don't think you could call 'anyone who has ever played call of duty' mildly smart. At least not on those grounds alone. ;)

I didn't know people clicked... I only click on spells/abilities/items on the right side of my screen, and the abilities I don't use enough, or need to press quickly.
Otherwise, I have my 1 - =, f1 - f12, q - t, and a-g bound. I also have some Shift+ buttons.
I also can't imagine keyboard moving, but whatever floats your boat.

Basically the problem with clicking is that you need to spend more time looking at your mouse pointer than on what's actually happening, fight mechanics, your opposition, etc.
It also severly impedes mobility. It makes it impossible to use an action while looking around.
My girlfriend is a clicker and I just cant watch her play :P She never PVPs so it doesn't really matter.

I want to ask a question: Why do people hate clickers?
They perform sub-optimally for no real defensible reason (excluding physical disabilities that would somehow force one to).
Do you have proof that all clickers perform sub-optimally?

Does it? I could imagine that an experienced clicker would know exactly where his mouse-cursor is and how far to move to which spell. Just as a keybinder knows which finger is on which key and where to press the key.

No gladiators are clickers

I dont hate clickers. I hate key-binders who use their right (mouse) hand to press abilities because they somehow cant move their left (keyboard) hand out of WASD.

In PvE non-movement fights it doesn't really matter. In PvE movement fights, it makes for a little better perfomance.
In PvP however, it's defining. Try clicking as a rogue. Or kiting as a mage / hunter. Not gonna work too well. I doubt you can chase after that mage while keeping the warrior in stuns / snares and killing both as a clicking rogue. Maybe as a paladin you can do it, not too many buttons for them to press anyway.
Benefits of keybinds and mouse turn:
Faster reaction time
More focus on the action
Flexibility
You can react faster since you don't have to a) look for the spell, then b) move the mouse to it, and c) actually click it. You can focus more on what's actually happening. If you're looking for your Incinerate key, you might miss that mage getting ready to shatter combo you. Or you could miss an opportunity to Fear the flag carrier as he passes in range. You're also more flexible since it's easier to move a finger than it is to move the mouse. If the warrior you're about to kidney shot has gotten a big heal, you can quickly deal with it by adding more damage (like rupture... warriors hate bleeds) followed by a dismantle while you build up combo points again for the stun.

I've often wondered what the anti-clicking crowd thinks of Healbot's functionality.
A Clique-style mod (Clique itself, Healbot, etc.) is dramatically different than clicking on a person's unit frame, then clicking $HEAL_SPELL. All of my healers use Grid/Clique, but I can also still manage to A) work without Clique through macros and B) still mouse-turn and move quickly and effectively.
Do you have proof that all clickers perform sub-optimally?
Anecdotal at best. But I've never seen someone whose performance went DOWN when moving to keybinds, only up.

Precisely. In the main I am a clicker. I have 3 things keybound: Taunts (Hand of Reckoning and Righteous Defense), and Divine Protection. Everything else (including my usual rotation) I click. However, I have spent many hours remodelling and refining my UI with exactly that in mind, so that everything feels natural, and I can click anything I need to using only my peripheral vision, with split second timing.
However, that may be due to the fact that I tank at a fairly high level, and have tanked pretty much from day one on my character. As a tank you HAVE to have tremendous situational awareness and good reactions. It has got to the point where I doubt that keybinding anything else would make any difference at all.
Can you attack, move and look around at the same time? At best you can attack and move or look and move. Whether you like/admit it or not, your reaction time is reduced. I can move and look around while maintaining my full rotation.
