Frost Emblems choices.

Usually I have had a rule on my alts to not spend the emblems until I get 1 piece of the tier from VoA, but even though my rogue was finally lucky enough in voa to get the ilvl251 gloves....I am still having trouble deciding on which other pieces to purchase, or whether the trinket would be a smart choice instead (I had "tested" it a few times over the mirror, and saw large dps increases, only to refund it later to keep the badges).

He has the gloves, and about 220 frost emblems
(Before its mentioned, yes, I need to change his build for rupture...and I do realise he shouldnt have the purple gem in his chest, the pvp cloak....and is only using 8stats. Theres a few things sitting on him that I just keep forgetting to fix. Im assuming that the 44ap to gloves on the shadowblade gauntlets would also be better then the 20agi).

Rupture only works on tank'n'spank fights with full buffs available. If you don't raid hardcore with your rogue, you will barely benefit from a Combat rupture build.
Personally, I don't even bother re-speccing to Rupture for Saurfang/Festergut/Rotface, since these bosses are more than farmable. I just use the LK spec with Imp. Evis.

Buy the trinket, it's the biggest upgrade considering it's only 60 badges.

Your probably right, most charts or spreedsheets ive seen rarely seem to even make much of a difference in dps. Just something I kept seeing was that it helped on single targets, where he mainly only does the heroics and such currently, but I need to start getting him in icc.
Still, slightly interesting to have use more then just SS/evis/Snd for the majority of the fight, excluding c/d's.
edit: Trinket, any specific piece for 2pc t10? I did actually get the t9 245 pants, so was thinking get the tier 10 chest...but shrug.
Thanks.

Get the trinket first.
Now i'd say for atleast 2pieces tier 10:
Head, chest, shoulders and pants are best together with the offset gloves for combat.
Usually it are the pants or shoulders which will give you the highest dps increase, because of stats like hit and exp.
After that i'd take the cloak and after that just fill out the other tier slots.
However dont forget the spreadsheet, it tells you everything i said more correctly and precisely!

I had no luck with the elitist jerks combat 1.5.1 spreadsheet, as a few of the pieces (like the trinket, neck, cloak, belt) arent included in the gear choices, and I dont seem to be able to input them regularly.
Wish the pants had dropped instead, but lost them to a rogue the last time I saw them by only a roll of 2.

Buy Head and Shoulders T10. Then, let luck decide:
Then wait for either of the following to drop:
Gunship Chest
Festergut Legs
Rotface Gloves
VoA Legs/Gloves
Then mix'n'match, keeping at least 2pcT10.

Download idps instead.
It has the import from armory function which will look up your last logged off gear set and load it for you in matter of seconds.

Well, as I said in the OP, I did have the gloves already. I did end up grabbing the trinket for now, and have played around with idps a bit. Really seems to want me to dump the arp for attack power gems.
I suppose ill grab the chest for the 2piece bonus.
