1.) Impossible to have CONSTANT pulling the respawn rate or density of mobs would have to be such that it would be abusdly dangerous to attempt any such feat. And quest grinding will always out do drain tanking, when you compare effort
EX1 I can kill 100 mobs for 200 xp each, netting 20,000 XP
EX2 I can kill 30 mobs for 200 xp each, and finish a quest for 11k netting 17,000 plus the additional mobs that got in my way for the difference (15 mobs)
2.) My killing things are not DEPENDANT on my pet holding agro, it is merely desired not a prerequisite.
3.) I supply enough damage to do the job, if it didnt i wouldnt use my VW, duh
4.) I know the 5 second rule, i live by it on every toon i have except my rogue. My VW doesnt need to maintain 100% mana to maintain agro. And most of the time by the time he is down to his final reserves, everything is dead and i must travel to a new area or wait for respawns.
5.) See # 2
6.) See # 3
7.) I am sorry my 35 slots free isnt enough, i promise ill waste time farming gold to buy the 20 slots tommorrow, who is grasping at straws?
8.) Given being able to afford your epic mount would increase said ability to grind in the new areas, your point is invalid. Ofcourse you can ride your old 'n busted 60%+ mount while i have the new hotness 100%+
----------------
I think it actually is moderately relevent because every other build in this thread seems confused as to what it is trying to do...

1) Sure you can. Pull mob, position yourself for mob #2 while you load on the instant dots, kill mob, loot, pull mob #2, position yourself for mob #3 while you load on the instant dots...
1a) Where did you get the impression that you don't quest while drain tanking? No one is asserting that. Complete strawman.
2) No, it isn't. But if your pet isn't holding aggro, then it isn't helping you. The voidwalker's damage output is pathetic compared to that of the succubus, so if he isn't holding the mob off of you then the succubus is the better choice. The voidwalker cannot supply a steady stream of mana like the imp does. If your voidwalker isn't holding aggro, then it is inherently inferior to the imp as mana battery for non-stop fighting.
3) See #2. Your total damage output is LESS with the voidwalker than with the succubus. Hence mobs take longer to kill and the whole process slows down and is less efficient.
4) No it doesn't, but his mana (and health, as it takes the damage) drops off steadily over time unless given time to recover.
7) Your focus remains scattered. The discussion is efficient leveling, not gathering vendor trash. If you haven't cleared your bags, gotten the larger bags, planned your route or whatever might result in your bags filling before you're finished with your circuit, this does not reflect poorly on drain tanking as a strategy.
8) And ditto. Repair costs are not significant in this game while you are leveling. If someone lacks the funds to purchase their epic mount at 60, the problem was not spending an extra couple of gold on repairs over 60 levels a 100 or so hours of gameplay.
