You just don't want to admit that the alliance needs to get there hands dirty do you.
Think about this for a moment here.
1. The Grimtotems are only part of the Horde in name only and basically defected long ago.
2. They aren't allied, they are in a pact of convenience.
3. Basically we help them and they help us.
4. They are NOT part of the Alliance.
You just don't want to admit that not all Tauren want to be in the Horde.
Funny how Darkton had a different idea to this. Magatha and her followers were part of a tauren leadership in thunderbluff, So well they are hostile outside of TB, they were part of the horde.
You know. I actully recall one of you saying, time and again, how the grim totem WERE part of the horde a while ago, how there actions reflected on the horde because despite being hostile, they where still part of it. So I guess now the alliance are making ties with some backstabbing killers, that idea doesn't sit anymore does it?
And plus if you actully read up on tauren, the grimtotem are part of the tauren culture, which is more closely tied together then orc clans were. So there methods of killing there own crosses onto barbaric. I guess that the alliance have quests from them now there not so bad after aye?

/sigh, I've said before I would like to see something shake up the Alliance.... but seeing as this is a quest thing only, and doesn't mean the Grimtotems are actually joining the Alliance, not really what I was looking for.I personally don't see nothing bad in what the alliance is going to the on Stonetalon.
Agreed; it's good tactics, why fight someone if you don't have to.

They are still bad, yes. But the Alliance only help them for free passage into Barrens. Nothing more they are no allies, they are not even friends.

That's Darkton.
Anyways, I never said they were a large part of the Horde, or really even a part at all considering they are hostile to Horde players.
Also, they don't have "ties" per say with the Alliance. What they have is a pact of convenience. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and free passage.

You know, thinking on this.... let's be completely honest here: The Alliance has one quest line dealing with the Grimtotems, which is the aftermath of the Inn fire in Dustwallow Marsh. Yes, the Horde has a lot of problems with the black sheep of the Horde, but the Alliance doesn't have that baggage. And if making a pact with them for free passage into 'Horde' controlled lands, why shouldn't the Alliance make it?

I never said they were joining the alliance, where did I say that then? I said the alliance and working alongside some backstabbers who are known for killing there own kind. It be like horde working with the defias, except the defias split from the alliance a while ago, well the grimtotem still had ties to the horde.

Thats intresting a point. Given a man who wanted to build an inn (smiling Jim?) in duskwallow marsh had his entire family killed by the grimtotem and he left a shattered man, thats suppose to be overlooked now is it?

If it was in Horde advantage, why wouldn't they work with the Defias?

But the Horde has had allies like that since Vanilla, so there you go.

Seems like it; but seeing as the ones who did the deed are killed, and unless your saying that due to the actions of one section of the Grimtotem, that should mean we should hate them all.... well, that kinda of kills your own arguments about Varian and the Orcs doesn't it?

If you can show me one good or honorable thing a grimtotem has done, then you might have a point.

Guess we'll have to wait for the actual quests eh? And I'm sure there are 'honourable' Grimtotems out there, we just haven't seen them in game yet, unless your suggesting that the entire tribe is pure 'ebil'......

So in other words, you don't have a point. Ok, thats all you needed to say.

If you feel the need to see it that way, go right ahead.

Sorry, just think its fairly poor story telling to just have something come back out of the blue like that. Id be like if Magneto* only showed up in issue one of x-men,then came back in issue 539 out of the blue.
They should have at least had the Grimtotem maybe fighting the Taunka in Northrend,or had them talking about them starting up trouble in Kalimdor via a quest. Anything.
Who is going start trouble down the road next? The murlocs you hunted down in eastvale logging camp?
* I'm sorry for comparing him to the crap villains Blizz has been coming up with. Ten bucks Deathwing gives a speech to us instead of just attacking.
In Cataclysm, a lot of things that were left out of the main story of the game during BC and Wrath will resurface. Is part of the brand new world thing, after does years a lot of things had happened.
