Simple, you
join this guild
if you are not a complete moron.
5k GS is required for raids, and it's also required for heroic nexus.
Just because people with brain can do all this content in blues, doesn't mean that the rest of us should get a brain. It is easier to grind heroic after heroic - gathering gear, than it is to think.
Ohh, and if there's a single wipe, everyone should blame each other and drop group/raid.
LF tanks/healers for toc10 5k gs required, be prepared for name-calling if there is a wipe

Get into a guild some time. If you get into these PUGs it's because they can exploit you. All the demands for quality do not apply to guildmeights, lolfreidns and mentally challenged nephews.

What?
Just saying that, while people with brains can do all heroics and most raids in blue gear, the rest of us need top-end gear so we don't have to think about what we're doing, just push the buttons elitistjerks said to push.

Not really. In most raids you just literally cannot do them in blues. I'll admit Naxx 10 and Ulduar 10 can be done with a few blues, but anything higher (including Naxx 25) should be in all Epics.

The thing I love the most about GearScore and the people who worship it like a god...
The addon itself actually has a list of what score is needed for what raids.
ICC 10 is 4700 according to GearScore yet I see morons in trade saying "LFM ICC10 MUST HAVE 5.6K GS!"

Did you read the post about the guild completing icc 10 first wing, and one more boss in only blues? I don't believe they claim to be best raiders either, certainly the guild leader said in few posts that he wouldn't make it in top-end guilds.

Most people who ask for a high GS are baddies and/or scrubs who want to be carried, it's as simple as that. The funny thing is the GS addon tells you what the recommended GS is for each level. For instance, it says that 4700 (I think, not online to check right now) is the appropriate thing for T10.1 (251) gear, aka ICC10. For ICC25 heroic it recommends 5800.
It's funny how many people are totally ignorant of that feature and still ask for stupid high GS for trivial content. IMO the idiot asking for a 5K GS for Naxx either is clueless or wants to be carried to an achievement, since people were doing Naxx10 in heroic blues and purples and that's what Naxx10 is designed for.
Where's the challenge in getting an achievement when you vastly overgear something? Like doing OS10+3; where's the glory in getting that "of the Nightfall" title when you're in ICC gear, a full two tiers higher than OS10 itself? It's just some scrub who wants a fancy title without the challenge.

Are you actually suggesting you look for raid members with the suggested GS? I'm one of those folks that try to look for raiders with the highest possible GS. You get two tells from the same class (say lock), wouldn't you take the higher GS person?
And sometimes you want to go further than the first wing. Sure you "might" be able to get past the first wing with 4800 people but if you want to get past PP you'll need much higher. And if you're rocking 5.8k-6k GS, would you really want to pug with people that are in the 4.8k range?
There's nothing wrong with setting high GS requirements. Generally those requirements will ensure you can get as far as possible with the group you put together. Course if you set that requirement, you generally should meet it yourself. There's nothing wrong with "/2 LFM fresh ICC 10 GS 5800 Minimal, going at least9/12 pst with achievement."

That's why it probably makes sense to look for people with gear they cannot get from heroics alone. Yet, GS 5.2k might not be GS 5.2k. There are still ways to get 251+ gear without doing raids.
That's the problem nowadays. I see a LOT of 5.2k+ GS folks doing SUB 4k dps in ICC. I don't even know how that's possible with the 20% buff.
With some lucky VoA drops or even PvP gear equipped, you have folks with really high GS's that don't even know how to play their class. Some people even spend their emblems on PvP gear or farm honor for it just to inflate their GS.
What use to be 5k GS was safe for ICC 10, now might require a higher rating. The more time that passes, the better gear folks have access to. If you can hit above a 5.5k GS, chances are you've at least raided a bit in ICC.

As far as I'm concerned with the 20% buff that we have now I see no reason not to bring anyone with at least a 4700 GS which is pretty easy to get these days by running heroics.

I can think of a few reasons:
They haven't finished gearing up from heroics
They have no raid experience
Chances are you'll find someone with better gear
The folks in your raid will leave if they see someone with such low GS
You'd rather not have to explain all the fights
You want the highest chance to be successful
A few weeks ago I invited a guildy into my last min ICC 10 PuG. They invited their friend which was in the 4.5k GS range. The majority of the folks in the raid group complained that we were carrying that person through and left immediately.
It's sometimes impossible to "keep" good pug raiders if you decide not to GS check and invite someone with a really low score. So it's detrimental to your pug raid if you do invite that caliber of player.

If I'm at 5.8 - 6k GS I wouldn't be wasting my time pugging 10 man. Unless it was to farm badges, but then I'd just do that with my guild.
You might be suprised how many there are. You'll need a very thick skin if you advertise in Trade that you're a fresh 80 looking for same to get into raiding (starting with Naxx) but there are plenty of players that haven't seen the entry level raiding content that would like to. My point is: don't ignore the social aspects of the game.
I love running Naxx on any of my toons. I was still gearing up my mage in Heroics by the time Ulduar came out (I had quit DK tanking for a while) so I didn't get to see much of it as progression. That and Ulduar are the most fun imo.
