keep him a warrior imo, Malfurion should take over the spot as leader in Darnassus if you want a druid leader Ally side
Heh, I doubt Tyrande would be too happy about that; she's the official leader of the Night Elves, and has been for the last 10 thousand years.

and I can't remember a single NPC that has a rage bar.
I'm fairly certain Saurfang has a rage bar, at least while he was in Org.
Sold, people were iffy about your link since you linked an IP. Since very few people have the IPs of any site memorized (I still have to /ipconfig to get into my router), it was akin to Russian Roulette about where they would have ended up.
Odds are he won't be a Druid, though likely not because he would take focus away from Malfurion Stormrage, the first Druid in the history of Azeroth. Grumpy old men can be somewhat set in their ways.

But he probably won't be.

Just makes the most sense; he's been a warrior for almost 50+ years, I can't see him suddenly changing his spots, even with the new fur coat(note, seeing as the pictures of him released at Blizzcon showed the Worgen side, the fact that he is one, isn't really 'new' lol).

so what? Darion mograine has a mana bar too, that makes him a paladin? nope, he's a DK.
heck, DA LICH KING on the scarlet enclave has a mana bar too, that makes him a caster? nope.
by default all NPC's have health and mana, I think you can count with 1 hand how many don't
VERY few NPC's have an energy bar, only 1 NPC that I can remember has runic power, and I can't remember a single NPC that has a rage bar.
not to mention that not one of them has runes.
Greymane is a warrior, now, people don't usually change classes when infected by a curse, unless manipulated by an outside force.
Sylvannas used to be a Ranger when she was alive, and now is a dark ranger, but that's because the lich king infused her with dark magic, and now she teaches the same to those reanimated rangers in her service (like nathanos blightcaller or her female elite dark rangers)
however, Genn simply became a worgen, and so far no lore indicates that worgens have an extended lifespan ,so we should asume they live as long as the infected race normaly lives.
in this case it would be over 90 years since these are humans. I've checked the worgen lore page on wowwiki (the actual lore page, not the one about player-worgens but the real race) and since they come from an unknow place (or time) nobody knows how long they live.
besides, even transformed into worgens these are still gilneans, druidism isn't part of their society, don't expect now that suddenly every worgen is a druid. That would be like expecting every single tauren to be a paladin on cataclysm.........
This always bothered me. Everyone's either got mana or nothing. It's somewhat saddening that enemies don't utilize rage, focus, runic or energy either.

On him being a druid. No, simply put, being a druid requires a far higher plane of thought in its magics and understanding, mainly being the person needs to have a clear mind, like the tauren and night elves have done, and now apparently how some trolls and worgen will. But Greymane, no, he was a coward first and really just strikes as a selfish fool.
On that, I've been looking forward to a chance to raid him, provided blizzard don't chicken out and phase him out of it.

Man, I'm going to regret asking but how, exactly, is Genn a coward?
Well, cowardice is a subjective thing. The rest of the Grand Alliance at the time would have felt that way about him for withdrawing his nation's support. They definitely could have used more soldiers for the Draenor Expedition, and Greymane's withdrawal from the Alliance definitely hurt that prospect.
But, I wouldn't say he's a coward. Perhaps an arrogant opportunist, but not a coward. He did, after all, contend with the Worgen threat for some time apparently, without calling for aid. That's certainly not a cowardly action.
On the topic though, it just doesn't seem right for Genn to be a druid. Normally it would take years upon years of tutelage and practice to become proficient with druidic magic... having him suddenly learn it seems sort of lazy and slightly pandering.

But that would be complete idiocy.
Did you read the apparent justification for Troll Druids?
Blizzard makes me sad sometimes. :(

Actually, I thought the justification for the Trolls was adequate. Each of the different races has a different way that their people learn the various magics/etc., so it seems pretty normal that the Trolls would have a unique story for druidism.
Having learned it from Trolls that learned it from Night Elves, or having learned it from the Tauren seems too... I don't know, I just never really enjoyed that idea.
This way, we might get a little expansion on Troll lore, and I'm completely glad for that.

That I'd be fine with. My worry is that they'll simply leave it at, "We were here de whole time, mon!" without giving us any details as to where the heck they came from.

It could have been worse.
They could have found Gnome Priests who had always been there in Gnomeragan.
Worshipping the Holy Light Bulb.
Is it sad that I just pictured a bunch of little Gnomish angels, fluttering around a huge bug zapper like so many little priestly moths?

I'm still hoping they use the Church of the Grand Idea heh.
