New wheels john, for those who have no clue what i am talking about was an old spectrum game by Automata that allowed you to be a second had car dealer, buying from the public or at auctions, fixing up or bodging the cars for sale, could even roll back the mileage if you were brave enough. A very plain and simple game, but i still play it today, 29 years later, pure classic.
That brings back some memories. And one of my top 5 is also from the humble Speccy. (I actually had to narrow it down)
1.
World of Warcraft
I'll play this game as often as I can until either I die or it dies, I'm still as in love with the game as I was on launch. Nuff said!
(played 2004-Present) PC
2.
Championship Manager / Football Manager series.
I was first introduced to this management masterpiece on the Amiga and I've bought it religiously every year since. (obviously choosing the far superior FM version when the company split)
(played 1993-Present) Commodore Amiga - PC
3.
GTA 3-5
Having played the earlier GTA top down games (GTA 1,2 and London) I was so excited when the 3D version was announced. GTA is simple put the best sandbox experience you will ever have.
But I'll tip my hat to Saints Row.
(played 2001-Present) Commodore Amiga - Xbox - PS2 - 360 - PS3 and PC
4.
FIFA Series
Like all EA Sports games some years this has seemed like nothing but a roster update, but when they do make changes they hit the ball out of the park.
I love this series, I can still replay goals in my head. (Celtic Vs Rangers online, Shot from the halfway line took a wicked deflection from an attempted block and looped over the keeper in the final seconds to win 2-1, sorry whoever you were :p)
(played 1993-Present) Mega Drive - PSone - PS2 - Xbox - 360
5.
The Double
In my mind the first REAL football manager sim, with real players, decent tactics and a real depth to it.
The Spectrum gave results via a vidi-printer scrolling display, but the Commodore actually had match highlights. I'm not sure many if any of you here will have a clue what I'm talking about, but this little masterpiece will always hold a special place in my heart.
(Played 1987- Present, although intermittently) ZX Spectrum 48/128k - Commodore 64

1) WoW
2) Perfect world international. (now, i'm not saying its a good game.it is far from that, but it's the first MMORPG i played and if it weren't for that i wouldn't play WoW)
3) Crash bandicoot
4) Lord of the rings online (just nostalgia)
5) Guild Wars & Guild Wars 2 (It IS better than world of warcraft, but my pc can't run it very well so i play wow)
HONOURABLE MENTION: Frogger! I grew up in the ps2 era and i played crash bandicoot with my brother in sister all the time. The memories!
