I'd say to remove ruthlessness and heightened senses and put those 5 points into relentless strikes.
Also i'd change the 3 points from initiative to honor among thieves.

Why camouflage?
Im sure that there are atleast 2 other talents which should get a prio to drop points out.
I wonder which two!

I recently switched my off-spec (I'm a mut pve rogue) from mut/prep to full sub since I only ever do BGs and world PvP, and I used a similar spec except I took points out of Cheat Death and put them into Master of Subtlety, because I figure if I get to the point where I'm at 10% HP, I'll be dead soon enough no matter what I do. Cheat death does look like a cool mechanic though, so I might switch over soon.
I haven't
not
been top in BGs since.

yeah, master of sub is nice, but I'm always at a loss as to where to take points from for it :(

Cheat death has saved my life so many times in 1v1 and even in 1v2.
The trick is: Cheat death procc + battlemasters rage + potion
Gives you that edge to kill others when they least expect it.

it was the @#$% at lvl 70 when they buffed it to not suck. Battlemaster+nigh invuln belt (I miss this thing so much)+healthstone+pot=they have to kill you twice.

I'd only use Ambush as an opener if they're wearing mostly PvE gear. Right after that ambush your target's going to turn on you. I'd open with CS and Sdance to get two quick ambushes off, Evis, then CS again, then if you have enough energy
then
you can start backstabbing.
You want to use shadow dance after they've blown their trinket so that you can keep them still. So: cs->backstab-> (gouge if no crit) ks-> and most people trinket here. Then: ShD->ambush evis spam and end with a cheap shot. Game over after that.
Edit: If they don't trinket that first ks, then that's fine too. They get to eat a full duration kidney, then throw a rupture or snd off of that, maybe evis depending on how low they are.

spec = murder in BG's
I run with about 950 resil and about 5k attack power.
You DEFINATELY Want honor among thieves:
That can give you the points you need in a pinch if Premed is on cooldown or if you're just lookin to help overpower a coupla guys beatin on a homie. Honor Among thieves applies to you as well so think of it as a cheaper Seal Fate that applies to your whole group.
Don't discount garotte as a viable opener. Armor ignore is amazing when stacking attack power.
In three globals i can drop a garotte, hemo, rupture on a target and vanish while they bleed half to death. I only use ambush against clothies that i know have little to no resil/armor. Don't bother glyphing (or speccing really) into vigor (although i spec into it) as it's much more often you'll spend your time in the 0-50 energy range. IF you can get a target to sit still long enough to pool energy for an offensive shadow dance then having 120 energy is great so you can drop it all into spambush but you'll often find that you're shadow dancing for control to get off the cheapshots and put yourself in position for ambush/evis or ambush/rutpure (depending on target)
Other than that your main tool is stealth and suprise. I often start duels off with a mix of hit and run sapping to put the opponenet off their game. But i have a lot more fun in BG's than i do in duels ripping apart people that have no idea that i'm there.
....now if only blizzard would un-bug vanish >< damned hunters and unholy dk pets will not break off half the time and totally give you away. Suprise is more than a 10% buff to your damage (Master of Subtlety) but a huge part of your strategy in getting the opponent into defensive mode real quick.
You DEFINATELY want cheat death:
that few seconds of god-mode can easily be the difference of your healer letting you die through cc/stunlock and living through it and getting back to full health so you can totally demoralize the opponent team and thusly... put them on defensive.
Is Sub > Mut? That i cannot say. I run mut for pve and do great damage but it's BORING. I ran mut/prep for pvp for a good long while and it got pretty damn boring as well. Sub is hella fun, mobile and effective if you get the hang of it. For me fun > min/max and Sub is working with my setup.
do not bother pve-ing as sub tho >< lol i tried and tried to validate it by saying the control i can bring to the group with shadowdance outweighs the dps loss of being sub but the cake is a lie.
Dual-spec or stick to BG's.

Lethality is moot. Your big hitters are your finishing moves and your spells that require stealth so you're blowing 5 talent points into making hemo/backstab bigger. It's not worth it. I Backstab for the waylay debuff when my target is trying to get away and i hemo for combo points only if i can't get them through hat and have to. The damage done by either move is not what i'm interested in. I want to land those big eviscerate/ruptures and gtfo.
Relentless Strikes is good sure but giving up initiative and Blood Splatter for it is weak. premed, garrote, hemo, rupture is MONSTROUS against plate. but with your spec you're losing both 30% damage on both spells AND the ability to apply them quickly and get back to stealth. I'd strongly recommend keeping your bleeds available. I understand the urge to make your crits hit harder but honestly unless you were going for a build that used slow 1-handers and wanted to maximize hemo damage (lol) you're better off letting your energy pool a bit for burst (shadowdance spambush )
Also i dont' think i'd muck with glyph of sprint as you NEED to be in stealth to get your job done and well... sprint in stealth is lackluster glyphed or not so really it's more about premeditating (no pun intended) the attack and positioning yourself appropriately and using Shadowstep to get your gaps closed than about running amok whacking away with your weapon like a madman on crack. Leave that for the combat rogues.
