Woah! Soldrethar isn't in the Cata forums, does that mean it's launched >.>
On-topic: Nice fan-art, but Arthas was being corrupted before Frostmourne (see Culling of Stratholme for evidence).

He had major daddy issues.... it's entirely possible he would have over thrown Terenas at some point, even without the Voice speaking into his mind....

Even after his paladin training he shows immense anger toward the orc forces summoning demons in his land.
Well, tbh, Orcs was their mortal enemy and demons wasn't exactly something they liked (unless I got the lore all wrong. Haven't played WC3 unfortunately), so I kinda understand fully that he was a bit "upset" and slaughtered a bit then.
But yeah, Arthas was a bit twisted from the start, which I believe was just what was needed for him to be the corrupted being he did become.

Arthas never really was right in the head. Play Warcraft 3, and the second level specifically. Even after his paladin training he shows immense anger toward the orc forces summoning demons in his land. It wouldn't take much to send him further on the way to darkness.
Besides... Arthas wasn't even that cool of a character in my opinion.
he saw entire villages killed by orc's, innocent men woman and childeren murdered and you think its strange he showed anger towards the orcs?
personaly i think that if somebody kept him in hand he would not have followed the path of the damned, eventough he was a bit a anger guy he did always what was the best for his people
for instance:
the culling of stratholme, he had 3 chooses
1: doing what uther sayed, not killing stratholme but watch them turn into undead, it semt me that those people were already beyond saving
2 kill stratholme in cold blood, you would kill all people before they turned into the undead, giving them a clean death and stop malgannis from claiming them
or 3, go to king terenas, return with a army, malgannis would have then already turned stratholme in a undead base and he and his undead would be ready and waiting to slaughter that army
what choose would you have choose?

Arthas did the strategically-correct thing in Stratholme. It's what I would do. His mistake came after that - following Mal'Ganis to Northrend when that was clearly what the dreadlord wanted. Using mercenaries to burn his troops' ships was another step down the dark path. Ignoring Muradin's warning in the Frostmourne cave was the last one. This is the point I consider to be the point of no return. Anytime before that he could've turned back to the Light. After that he was lost.
But we are going into lore and speculations, neither one of which was the point of this thread :) Awesome picture, saved it instantly. It is now part of my collection.

Option 4, QUICKLY engineer a cure for the plague.
Option 5, Pretend to go into a coma due to stress and fake out of it.

he became the vengeance himself when he went to northrend, but what else choose did he had?
if he didnt went to northrend malgannis would just make a new and beter plan to kill loraeron.
only if he did went to northrend without that bloodlust and he thinked clear he could have easyly killed malgannis without turning his back to the light

To be honest, Arthas kinda reminds me of Anakin Skywalker.
God knows why.

I think that was the point. Jaina and Uther in Stratholme were just too much like Obi-Wan and Yoda returning to the Jedi temple...
he saw entire villages killed by orc's, innocent men woman and childeren murdered and you think its strange he showed anger towards the orcs?He never personally saw it. He heard of it, especially from Varian. I think you're confusing Varian with Arthas. Heck, the first time he saw an orc was Orgrim Doomhammer, in chains as he was sentenced to live in the Undercity. After that, the next time he saw an orc was at an internment camp with Jaina.

Are his eyes blue to indicate he is Arthas? Since Arthas as the Lich King had blue eyes, that would be to help make the connection no? Anyway, as argentsun said, very very nice pic.
