If you think random battlegrounds are serious, I'm not even sure what to tell you.
Battleground is just as serious as arena, raid or dungeons.

That's a pretty poor (useless? irrelevant? illogical?) definition of 'not angry', if you ask me..
How so? Well, let's take a better definition then: "anger - a strong emotion; a feeling that is oriented toward some real or supposed grievance".
This is were i come from. He has no reason to be "angry", simply because there is no grievance. Stupidity causes annoyance, not anger.
Are you honestly going to try and argue that breaking the 10 yr old kid's toys for consistently jumping in your pile of leaves isn't an angry move?
But anyway, consider what you said:
He is a succesful manager and a famous WoW player and, i suppose, he excells/does pretty good at whatever he dedicates himself to. He is, by definition not angry.
Let's break this down.
He is a successful manager
Does this define him as 'not angry'? No. You can be an angry yet successful manager.
a famous WoW player
Does this define him as 'not angry'? No. You can be an angry yet famous WoW player.
he excells/does pretty good at whatever he dedicates himself to.
Does this define him as 'not angry'? No. You can be angry and yet be good at what you choose to do.
Therefore:
That's a pretty poor (useless? irrelevant? illogical?) definition of 'not angry', if you ask me.
Are you still going to argue with me?
wtf... You can't be serious on this. According to you, I should go set your house on fire because you know, I think it is fun, even if it grief you.
Wrong. The M&S in a battleground is executing a flawed plan, but one that he/she thinks will work. And in some circumstances it does - I would be very happy to have a single Prot Paladin juggernaut in PvE tanking gear tie up 4-5 people at Farm, because it removes that many people from the rest of the map.
The difference between this and your analogy is that setting Hospy's house on fire has no purpose to the game plan. Unless you're planning on razing the city, and you want to choose Hospy's house first, rather than the CBD.

My take on this.
The undergeared project sounds like a really fun thing to do.
The PvP activities, well...
First, I believe this is one of the central questions. His actions aren't exactly a case of "immorality". It's a PvP realm, you agreed with that by joining it. However, his justifications to do so, coming from a human being, and the beliefs upon he organised his guild, being a rational being, are therefore not limited to "blind" contracts or rules, but express his take on a particular situation - the M&S (to whoever asked what's the meaning of that acronym before, I didn't know it either =P).
That being said, I think there are two sides. Obviously, if he wished to do it by himself, he would be whatever he decided as correct as long as he didn't abuse it (camping for too many times is not allowed, if I am correct?). As he is directing a guild, he has to draw fine lines of conduct, or his single goals won't be achieved. By joining the guild, you uphold his moral beliefs.
Then, there is the attacked's side. How do you know you are attacking a M&S? It is perfectly possible to use click-to-move and make your way to level 80. Before group action (With the difficulty of levelling nowadays, there's little to none if you choose to quest your way to 80), the job can be done with extreme ease. You cannot expect a level 1 for the first time player to strafe, keybind everything, use focus macros and class specific macros. Especially if it is the first time on an RPG that is not turn-based. The definition of M&S cannot be made clearly without first knowing the player. If Gevlon's guild chooses to target only specific known players (No, I idn't read through the whole page of his, i read the outlines, but not extensively), he's sure to target a M&S, but what if? Can they be so sure? You know, this is a typical
war
concept. "My beliefs are above the law enough to justify a few unintended targets".
My personal take on the matter? They're a guild formed by strong conducts. You're not forced to join. Should you be the target, log off for some time, alt tab and do something else. Don't rage. If you rage, well... You're exactly the M&S target, and expect them to keep it up till you give up. I would not join the guild, since I am not for their beliefs, but i'm not against it's existance.

Gevlon's goals via Ganking project:
What do I want to prove? The following things:
I want to disprove Tobold that it's "lack of fairness" that keeps people away from PvP. It's their lack of will to play. They want to get easy status symbols to show off. And they cry like a baby and quit if it gets hard or their sub-par performance is not enough. As PvP cannot be nerfed (as the enemy is also a player), they want welfare-PvE games.
I want to prove that the M&S - even in huge numbers - can be defeated, since they are a class, but not a group. A class is a bunch of similar people or things (like the priest class). A group acts together, has common goals. One M&S doesn't give a damn if another one is ganked. Their "help each other" idea is a lie. They mean "working people, help me". They give nothing. They help no one. They are leeches. While the horde will outnumber us greatly, we will outnumber the horde players. And we won't even encounter them that much, after all we can't go gank to ICC25 or the arena where the players are. The horde M&S is just trash, killing 10x more is not harder, just longer.
I want to prove that
the socials
, despite their big mouth will not help the ganked hordies. They
will whine and yell and moan and QQ and write blog posts about ethics and how horrible person I am, but they won't do anything.
No one will stand and fight!
Finally I want to see how can we make a market of items where currently there is none. We can't just make money via buy-low-sell-high, since there is no one to sell low and buy high. The alliance AH is dead. I want to prove that goblinish business ideas are not only ripping of M&S, it's also offering useful services. We will revive this server.

Dont make up numbers. Either link to that 5-15% or dont say it.
And about your governement example, you have no right to complain about it if you can change it but prefer to wine instead to act. It is like someone who doesnt vote, yet complain about government...
