Still works.
@Tempest: I have AC set up to announced Revive casts once they go off, and I have a similar issue with that. Generally I cast a rez, then select my next target. Obviously this doesn't work as it says I just rezzed someone who is still dead. Same issue. I was thinking of modifying my macro to save the rez target when I cast it and use that so I can avoid this problem.

@Pelf--If you want it to only announce on successful cast, then AfterCast is about the best option. I use SmartRes2, which announces when the cast starts. I find this much more useful for cutting down on post-boss/wipe dbl rezzes as well as giving ppl a heads up in raid chat for my battle rez, in case they miss me screaming at them in vent :D
Yeah, I understand how it works and what to do to change it, I was just relating that my current use of AfterCast has the same behavior with target identification for similar reasons.
As for Rebirth usage, I do NOT want it to print out the notice unless my cast succeeded. I do not want other druids in my raid to be able to stop paying attention to the death situation once the message goes out knowing that the cast was also successful. The initial selection of who will rez is determined over vent -- I'm usually the one who assigns it based on whose Rebirth is available which I monitor with RaidCooldowns.

Solution:
#showtooltip
/run mit = GetUnitName("target")
/aftercast /run SendChatMessage("Innervated " .. mit .. ".", "RAID")
/use Innervate
/cleartarget
note: This requires the use of a non-localized variable (mit) which means that it's data
can
be polluted by other addons. You may need to play around with variable names until you find something not in use.

Yep. That's one way to do it.
