>> i noticed someone saying something about stamina, first of all.. if you can play and have a group who can _almost_ play you dont need any stamina! you take what you get as a bonus, thats it.
>> ImpDS is the build to go tbh. If you have problems with managing aggro when playing with retarded people max out silent resolve
>> Chest - ZA, bearboss
>> Belt - Belt of the long road
>> Shoulders - T5, but since you arent doing 25man i'm not really sure havent checked on it, tho i believe that PMC are the best ones still, considering they really are comparable to t5.
>> Whitemend set - The pants could be traded for the legs from SV, but i cant find any head before 25mans which are worthy of dropping the setbonus for, so just stick with the whitemend set til you get "far" in the 25mans(if you ever decide to start 25man)

But down ranking is probably good for this, but
as a priest downranking shouldn't really be done
since it defeats the purpose of a priest (i.e stay outside Five Second Rule as much as possible).
I'm so speechless that somebody would post something so ridiculous that I forgot what I was going to say here.

QFT! Even with reduced +healing coefficients from downranking, GH1 has still just as much health/mana as GH7, and at the added bonus of half the mana cost, so you don't waste it all on overhealing. (Seriously, in a raid environment, how often do you find yourself the sole-healer?). If your tank's down enough to justify a full Greater Heal 7, one of two things will happen: 1) Between HoTs and FoL spam, you just had a 60% overheal, or 2) Tank dies, because even your max-ranked healing alone isn't enough to catch him up at that point.
most BT raiding priest are Circle of Healing specc, which require heavy spamming so you're going to be in the Five second Rule for a long time. Umm, fail? First priest should always be DS, the buff is just too great to the entire raid to pass up, but any priest after that can go Circle, as obviously Imp DS doesn't stack. So "Most priests" being circle is out of simple consequence. Secondly, even with CoH taking up 20% of my healing (higher than most CoH priests) it's still not spamming. Circle spam is one thing, but you still don't circle spam for single target healing. "Most BT Priests" use Greater Heal 1,2, and 7 as primary spells, regardless of having circle or not.

>> i noticed someone saying something about stamina, first of all.. if you can play and have a group who can _almost_ play you dont need any stamina! you take what you get as a bonus, thats it. I take it you've never been past Lurker/Hydross (and then, dying to a 50% water tomb), or Void Reaver. Get hit by a Dive Bomb, or find yourself in a Flame Patch in Al'ar? You're done. Watery Graved and Earthquaked in Hydross? Dead. Fighting your demon in Leotheras? GG. This isn't MC where "The only reason a healer takes damage is because the tank sucks". Hell, you want off of 25-man content?
Let's reference 10-mans then. Illhoof saccrifices you, without a BoP or SS, dead. Hex Lord's spirit bolt spam? The entire Zul'jin fight (with the exception of Bear phase)?
Get out of five mans and learn real encounters before you say something so pathetic again, thanks.

i dont know why or where you people learned priestly healing, but spirit is always better than mp5 if you were smart and specced into meditation- FOR RAIDING.
but based on how u talk about raiding gear, wtf, raiding. so stack spirit for mana regen, use the 5 second rule and clear casting and inner focus to get burst mana regen without mana pots. i regen 250+ while casting/550+ without casting and sit at about 520 spirit unbuffed, just remember, with kings, gift of the wild, and regular consumables, you can push 700+ spirit easy and never be out of mana.
i dont use PMC though, i use ZA/kara epics seeing im mainly shadow, but i do have good mana regen and over 1800 +healing in just that. so my input there is inadequate. but seriously people, go read elitistjerks.com under class mechanics and healing priests and do your homework. it shows the best specs for different situations and the most efficient way to heal and mods to use and everything. just... Wow...
still cant believe i just read about priests harping to other priests about mp5....... SPIRIT PEOPLE, DRUIDS AND PRIESTS REGEN BEST FROM SPIRIT, NOT MP5.
mp5 is best said to be a pally/shaman stat

Thank you at least someone understands spirit is better than MP5

Prior to 2.4, though, there were balance points on "X mp5 = Y spirit at N% out of the 5 SR" on all your gear, so you had to come to a balance depending on where you were within the 5SR. After 2.4's buff to spirit regen (see: moar), you effectively -can- do away with all your mp5 peices and pick nothing up but spirit and take away even more mp5 through intensity/meditation than you did from mp5 alone.
It just seems people are a little slow to grasp this concept still.
