Going back to destro... help?

So I was affliction/Demo for awhile when the changes happened while ToC was out. I liked it but I do like having raw burst dmg as destro and I want to know a few things that i may change.
Here is my armor
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Sentinels&cn=Lazris
I am going back destro even though it hasn't put it in yet, my questions are, what are the best glyphs? I know life tap is mandatory along with conflagrate what about incinerate vs Immolate vs chaos bolt? I just don't know. I have seen chaos bolt used but wouldn't incinerate be better?
And second, as destro I have read and heard haste is better till soft cap, but what is the soft cap? Should I always go 15SP/10Haste in my orange sockets, and 15SP/10Spirt in my blues if they offer good bonuses such as SP/Hit or sright SP? right now I am going Straight SP for affliction/destro but any feedback would help for gemming my upcoming gear.

Learn to use Simcraft (guide is one of the stickies) and figure this stuff out for yourself.

What stickies? can you tell me, i looked through a few and found nothing. You seem pretty pist, so yeah, #$%^ this !@#$. Sorry for not "going to stickies" i will find another form...
For you, Asakawa...
From your posts used to think you were a cool guy and knew alot.. seem like a #$%^ now.
You have to understand, we see 5 or more posts exactly like this a week. And every question you asked is in the stickies so that people don't have keep answering the same common questions.
If you click Helpful Threads you'll see a post in the PvE section that tells you exactly what you need to know. The only exception is that thread still lists GoLife Tap, but whether or not you benefit from that glyph or not depends on your character/stats so you need to sim it.

i'm not "pist", just being sarcastic at your expense for comic effect and to make a point.
the info is there so you saying that you "looked through and found nothing" is not very convincing.
there's a whole page full of stickies if you see the "
helpful threads - read before posting
" (the clue's in the title)
you could also try the
FAQ
(this stands for "frequently asked questions" - "frequently asked" describes your questions) where you will find headings like:
What are the best glyphs?
and
What gems should i be using?
the point here is that i, personally, and several others have put a considerable amount of time and effort into compiling useful information in one place that is easy to access and keeping that information updated. you do us a disservice by refusing to put a little bit of your own effort into researching your questions before making a whole new thread to ask them.

Long story short. Get hit cap, with or without the raid buffs given to you. Missing a Conflagrate is a big minus. Glyph of Life Tap is no longer mandatory, Conflag and Incinirate are however. GoImmolate and GoImp are both decent 3rd choices as Glyphs, I do however think you should be getting GoImmolate. Spell power is the 2nd best stat and the best once hitcap is gained, after comes haste- which is always better the critrating, regardless of spec and gear. The value of spirit is getting worse and worse, the better you gear gets, Improved Soul Leech lets you put more time on dpsing instead of using Life Tap, making spirit the least wanted stat for a destro lock.

all good but one very minor clarification, as gear levels get to the point they're getting at this late stage in the expansion some of the rules are getting a little blurry. crit can overtake haste for destro in some gear sets.
as always, sim for confirmation.

I will stand corrected if you can somehow show me a proof where crit becomes better then haste. However last time I checked, EJ stated that haste was still better then crit with T10BiS gear.

Weird this is what they have in their: "

(using this preliminary T10 BiS)
Stat Scaling
Spirit 0.96
Spell power 1.91
Crit rating 1.30
Haste rating 1.35

well it's close to the margin for error even in those values. my only point is that it's not the hard rule it once was. we're seeing more of these things crop up as we move into some relatively extreme options for gearing with the high gear levels (haste > sp for affliction etc.).
moral of the story is simply sim often.

Ok. Sorry for not reading. After posting that I went a read the helpful threads/F.A.Q. and found that you did change it.
Thanks Carlotta for that, I just wanted conformation on haste > crit, etc.
Do you know a general idea of when to go for socket bonuses? Say if I have a 7 sp bonus on my legs an i have a red/yellow/blue. Should I go 23SP, 12SP/10H, 12SP/10 Spirt?
Sorry for reacting like that, i just felt attacked, over a simple question.
Thanks.

Best answer is to sim it, but personally if its three different socket colors I tend to just gem spellpower.

the concept behind gemming is getting the stats that give the greatest overall benefit to your output (of course).
the way to be absolutely sure would be to sim your character and get your own stat weights. then use the wowhead comparison tool to compare the same piece with different gemming using your own stat weights.
this sounds like a lot of work but actually doing it once should give you a decent idea for future gear options.
if you just want a general rule to follow 9sp is always worth it. 7sp is definitely worth it for reds and yellows and
probably
worth it if blues are involved.
demo locks can get a bit more enthusiastic about blues but destro wants to avoid them a bit more.

OK, cool. I never simed before but I think I saw a stickie on it, thanks all.
