Resto/Balance PvP build favorites?

Hi,
I'm currently running Arena and BG's with a Resto-oriented build (24/0/47,
http://armory.wow-europe.com/character-talents.xml?r=Draenor&cn=Emmerald&gn=Adept
). However, I'm wondering how I would best increase my Balance talents, and if doing so is a good idea in the first place.
Does anyone of you have experience of such build? What would you recommend?
Also, I currently have full Resto gear; would you gear differently?
Thanks for help, Emmerald

I have been using
this build for gear
as a guideline while gearing up myself.
The spec in there I absolutely love and really can't think of any changes I would make to it.
Edit: Boomkin build FYI

No, i wouldnt go more into Balance, your main goal in arena would be to keep your ass and your partners ass alive. That build is more for 2v2 in arenas.
Balance is a nice tree in arena, but from my experience in arena, they dont last long alive.
Get pvp gear. +1000 Resilience, +75 Spell Pen.

Thanks for a good summary of things.

2v2 is what I currently play. However, I've been trying to increase the amount of DPS (and cc) I do, which keeps me more and more in human form, so I wondered if sacrificing Improved Barkskin would be worth it to increase DPS output.
Get pvp gear. +1000 Resilience, +75 Spell Pen.
I thought I had my PvP set on... Apparently didn't. I have about 1160 Resilience in my current kit, but no Spell Penetration. I will re-enchant my cloak and change some gems to get to 75 Spell Pen, but is the amount of Resilience too much? Should I gem away from it and into Spell Power (or Spell Pen, as mentioned above)?

No you didnt have the PVP gear on when i looked...
Your build is fine.
Minimum Spell Pen of 75. This will increase the chance of your CC's landing which is #1. Tossing your heals and landing your CC's is key in 2v2. if you can control their healer(or a dps) and burn one down quick with your Debuff, some Damage and keeping your partner alive then you will thrive..
Keep Imp. Barkskin. What Havocist said is true... No matter what your DPS increase with 2 points will be minimal at best. Barkskin is a life saver when double DPS groups turn against you.
Plus in BG's its fun with HOTs up, bear form and barkskin and 4-5 melee beating on you and no one killing you. Watch them drop to Swipe + Thorns.. lol
Be sure to use your forms, get your spell pen up.
Back Enchant, + some gems
Will make a world of difference.. CCs and damage spells will land more often.
best of luck!

Thanks all for your help.
After fixing some enchants and gems, and buying Battlemaster's Precision, I'm currently standing at, unbuffed:
1082 Resilience
73 Spell Penetration
138 +Hit
2725 Spell Power
23627 Health
I'm keeping my spec, so the rest is up to me playing better.
Yours Sincerely, Emmerald

Anytime.
I wouldnt get the Battlemaster's Precision.
From the Guide:
TRINKETS:
A must have is
Medallion of the Horde/
Alliance.
Your PVP Trinket with your Resilience.
Other popular/useful/common trinkets are:
Dislodged Foreign Object
- Best one in my opinion. Available in 25m ICC
Solace of the Fallen
- TOC 25m Trinket. Easy to get.
Purified Lunar Dust
- Nice if you wanna waste the Frost badges on a trinket
Battlemaster's Vivacity
- Quick easy Honor trinket if you dont have any of the above. Extra haste is nice.. Can get the SP one if you prefer. Good "Holy @#$%!" trinket when you have low health.

Yeah, I noticed the list in the guide. However, I had only 10 +Hit and to get to desired 130+, with the trinket I only had to change an iLvl 200 item to an iLvl 245 one, with a nice Health boost for tight spots (just have to learn to use that...). If I'd done it the "hard way", I would've had to regem and re-itemized much of my gear for items with +Hit. This was a quick fix, and I might change my trinkets at some other later time.
My current gear set is now on my Armory page, in case you want to check it.

Work up that honor. you can pick up easy high end hit items:
Wrathful Gladiator's Pendant of Ascendancy
Wrathful Gladiator's Cloak of Ascendancy
I think they are 52,200 Honor each. And a quick 120 Hit rating. And if you do ICC you can likely pick up a weapon or offhand with some hit on it if you prefer.
With those 2 items you can drop your hit/spen gems for sp/spen gems and replace that hit trinket.
Also, i would drop the resilience gems for SP ones or SP/Haste. Especially the +34 resilience gem. More SP the better. And dropping them still keeps you over 1000 Resilience in mainly intro pvp gear.
And change the gem in your ring.. =)

Dang, should've figured this +Hit thing earlier and bought those in the first place. I don't exactly swim in Honor, so it's actually quite expensive for me to replace those again. But that's a good plan to do as soon as I can replace the +Hit trinket with something else. I have to see if I can still return the +Hit trinket, because that would be worth one of the items.

Will do.

:) It's my raiding ring, but even for that, it's not a good gem. It has to go. But I will buy PvP rings when I have the chance, so that ring is the first one to be replaced.
