I feel your pain. I've been keeping track of my eggs on the warcraftpets site because it gives you a handy page that you can update whenever you want, a bit like the bio section of the wowhead profile.
So far I'm up to 63 eggs with no green proto. 64th will hatch this afternoon - fingers crossed but not holding my breath!
*Edit* Egg #64 was another cobra hatchling. :(
If anyone is interested, the breakdown looks like this; 22 aged yolk, 13 tickbirds, 11 white tickbirds, 14 cobras and 3 proto whelps.

did they up the chance for pets? I remember getting about 5 tickbirds and 2 cobras and the rest just tons and tons of aged yolk, that'd be like 28. As much as you in half the eggs.

Well if they did it was a while ago, because as you can see I've been hatching the eggs for well over a year.
Remember you get more than 1 yolk at a time, it's more like 5-10 per egg, so those 22 I've had make up several stacks.

I am kinda curious about this myself. I seem to always get either yolks or one of the two tickbirds. Since I am not at my home computer I can not log in to WOW and see which pets I have but it seems to me those are the only things I have gotten.I have opened roughly about 12 or so eggs and no mount. I have a feeling I would get one of mounts from one of the Glory achievements before I get this and I dont really raid. Just the occasional VOA or ICC Rep run.

Random rolls are not my luck, except when it comes to this egg.
Got it on my main after my 2nd egg. An alt took about 5 eggs. I was quite surprised.
Keep at it. It'll drop eventually.
