Forgive me if I suggest your destination as strange. Interesting, but strange.
If you could get there, which would be doubtful because of the forrest taking over, I doubt you would find anything. However, if you could uncover stuff, I think it might be worth a bit of investigating. A bit of history.

Ireland
, or
Scotland
.
Oh, and perhaps
Britian
, just to hear people say telly.
FUUUUUUUUUU!
Scotland and
Northern Ireland
are a part of Britain.
Anywho, I would recommend Xi'an in China, definitely. It's not as smoggy or populated as Beijing or Shanghai, and it mixes the old Chinese culture with the new. Plus, the Terracotta Warriors are only a little while away in a car.
As for where I live, I would not recommend Jersey, at all. It used to be alright, but now it's a bit of a dump. However, the German Underground Hospital (from the WW2 occupation) is a rather interesting site. Similarly, there are ones in Guernsey and Alderney which would have been turned into concentration camps, given the time, apparently.
He said Ireland, this annoys me.

Where am I from?
Western Sydney, originally. Now I live in the suburban region to the immediate North of Sydney (90 minutes drive to the city).
Where should you go in Sydney?
Of course everyone says Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Only go to the Opera House to look at. The acoustics are really crap, so if you go to a performance there you're just wasting your money. Trust me, I've done it.
There's only one casino in town, Star City. Hundreds (literally, hundreds) of pubs in the downtown and surrounding suburbs. The main nightlife district is Kings Cross, but Darling Harbour, The Rocks and Bondi also go well. The best nightclubs are mostly in Kings Cross, except for HOME which is in Darling Harbour, and Chinese Laundry (apparently, I've never been there), which is downtown but just near Darling Harbour.
There's heaps of museums and art galleries. I recommend the Australian Museum (it has it's own train station, easy as all hell to find). The Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour is also awesome. If you like looking at animals in cages, there's Sydney Aquarium and Wildlife World, both in Darling Harbour; and Taronga Zoo in Mosman (you catch a ferry there). Make sure you visit Sydney Tower; at least the Observation Deck, but do the Skywalk if you can afford it ($65). The BridgeClimb is cool as well, you ascend the Eastern arch up to the pinnacle, then descend the Western arch. It's expensive though.
There are some great parks. Hyde Park has a war memorial, then there's The Domain and the Royal Botanic Gardens. All 3 are right next to each other. You should also catch a ferry to Manly, because Manly is awesome, and so is the ferry ride.
The best time of year to come to Sydney is January, that's when all the fun stuff is on. Big Day Out at the Olympic Park every year is the world's largest music tour, and attracts huge acts every year. Doesn't matter what style of music you like, they cater for it, so do it.
If you're here during rugby league season (March-October), try to get to a few games. There's small local games at parks all over the city and suburbs; 8 teams in the national first-grade competition (the NRL); plus State-of-Origin (NSW vs Queensland) from May to July. If you're here during summer (December-February), get yourself to the Sydney Cricket Gound for a game of cricket. Try to get a seat in the Victor Trumper stand for an amazing view of the city during the boring bits.
What's bad about Sydney?
The Western Suburbs are crap (except the Olympic Park), so don't bother. The city itself is kinda dirty; you're hard pressed to find a clean toilet anywhere in town (the only ones that are reliably clean in my experience are at the casino, and that's kinda out of the way). Hookers line William Street (the street that leads from Hyde Park to Kings Cross) after dark, and most of them are transsexuals. If you lived here, you'd notice other bad things, but as a tourist, these things pretty much cover your bases. It's still a pretty awesome city though.
Okay, I could go on all day about this, so I'll move along.
Where have I been?
All over NSW - I used to be a door-to-door salesman and worked in Tamworth, Wagga Wagga, Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst, Yass, Narrandera, Queanbeyan, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, Taree, Newcastle, Central Coast (where I live), umm... yeah everywhere really. Also been to Woolongong and Port Kembla, but not to doorknock. Once to see the steel factory and once to get drunk.
Blue Mountains - beautiful mountain range to the West of Sydney. Fantastic driving roads, The Scenic Railway, Jenolan Caves,a nd some great pubs make this worth a visit on the drive to Bathurst.
Canberra - lived there for 8 months when I was knee-high to a grasshopper.
Alps - most NSW primary schools take their Year 6 students for a Canberra/Alps trip. We went in June, which is fail because it doesn't start snowing until July.
Melbourne - went there a month ago and got stuck there thanks to a volcano in Chile.
Brisbane - doorknocked there.
Gold Coast - been there 5 times, moving there in November. Great beaches, great women, great nightlife, 3 out of the 4 big theme parks are good.
Sunshine Coast - it's just North of Brisbane. It's like the Central Coast except hotter, and there's less gronks (ie chavs).
Kuta, Bali - was awesome but I went there when I was 11 with my overbearing foster parents, and I suspect Bali is best when you're running wild.
Where do I want to go?
I'll be here all night, just listing them all. I'll tell you later.

March or April next year, hopefully. Wanna do Auckland, and some kind of adventure holiday on the South Island (probably out of Queenstown).
Also, there's a lot of Maoris in Australia and they're really top people. (Generally speaking, of course).

They are, and I will. It would be cool to have a welcoming party, I don't actually know anyone over there, so yeah...

Auckland's a nice enough place, but it just seems so boring unless you know people.

Nowhere's boring where alcohol is legal.
