Don't spec into Dual Wield Specialization.
Do use Hemo, it does more damage than SS if you're using dual daggers.
Slow dagger MH with Wound Poison, fast OH with Crippling Poison

If I am using Crippling on my OH... should I not spec into Waylay? (causing my Ambush to apply a slow on the target?)'
I currently am spec'd into waylay however I assume that will change if I am using crippling...
Personally. I'd use Crippling Poison while specced into Waylay.
Unless your skilled enough to make sure Waylay is always staying up. It's just safer to have that extra measure of slowing down your target.
Personally i use wound and instant poison. And i combo it with Waylay. I find it very effective. Even tho movement speed is only reduced by 50% the melee attack speed reduction is a nice bonus when fighting enhancement shamans and feral druids
I wouldn't use Instant poison unless your specced into the right talents. While Instant poison does do a fair chunk of damage. The proc rate is fairly low, I'd personally use Wound/Wound or Wound/Mind-Numbing if there is casters around.

If you are Sub spec I would say that about 95% of the time you will open with; Premeditaion, Shadowstep, Ambush. Then lay in whatever finisher you like, I do Rupture on warriors, death knights, rogues, priests. For anyone else I do Eviscerate, so that they are down and out and I can move on. Now once you get up in level I would use Envenom since is bypasses armor value (damage reduction). Once that is I would keep Deadly Poison on the fastest weapon that you have.
So far as poisons go, I actually keep cripling poison on the slower of my two weapons because of it's high proc rate, then use wound or deadly poison on the other.
Now for a quick adendum to what I first stated, there are many times that you want to save shadowstep to use outside of stealth. Example is hunters, I found that nothing surprises and annoys them more then waiting until they try to kite you after landing a good opening on them. More so if you have shadowdance, nothing beats a stealth free ambush to punish them for their attempt.
As for Dual weapon Specialization, I don't ever see a reason not to take it, I personally feel that they need to completely do away with the off-hand damage decrease for rogues, especially when they have no choice but to dual wield.

One thing you might like to experiment with, is starting with Sap. You'd be surprised how many players you can tempt into blowing their trinket... Of course, this depends on how many other players are nearby in the battleground - if he's accompanied by some friends, it's not always helpful to announce your presence and give them a chance to start throwing AE or Holy Nova or DnD or whatever.
At lvl 67, your Garotte now has a short silence duration, so give that some thought if you think they might Blink or use an instant Howl or something like that. Most of the time Ambush is a better option on clothies, particularly if they are defending a node and not expecting you, and have gotten sloppy with re-applying their Ice Barrier or PW:S, haha.
As others have said, it often pays to hold Shadowstep in reserve against casters and hunters rather than opening with it. Sure, the damage buff is nice for your opener, but the 20 sec cooldown can be a pain if you need to counter their Typhoon or Disengage.
Don't neglect your bleeds against plate wearers and bears - with talents and maybe even the Garotte glyph, they can tick for a lot of damage. Dismantle them and bleed them out while you spam Hemo, or you could even try "kiting" them (yeah, I know that sounds retarded for a rogue, but it can be fun to torment them by using your superior mobility, particularly when you can DoT them and get LOS.. my fave place is around the towers/bunkers in AV).
Sub can be loads of fun in battlegrounds, even if many of your rogue tricks will only work on inexperienced players. Good luck!

True enough, but as you had stated with training you are equal with boths hands in accuracy and strength. it's just the getting there. In so far as the logic aspect goes I would have to also agree, but wouldn't it be nice, or even just reducing the damage reduction right off the bat for rogues. That would be a happy medium me thinks, but that is a whole another post all together.
Quick adendum to my above post I totally forgot about dismantle, I mash that on DK's, Warriors, and Hunters all the time, I save it for rogues when they try to sprint confuse you (when then hit sprint and run around like a chicken with its head cut off.), that or I kidney shot them if I have more than 3 combo points turn off combat and then re-stealth. Again I would say to really give different things a go, and see what works best for your play style.
