1) Get Firefox
www.firefox.com
2) Boot into safe mode(presisng f8 when booting) and run a scan
3) Look like your going to have to format
If that not it im out of ideas...unless i could see the computer and touch it

Your first mistake was using Internet Exploder.
Boot into safe mode without networking, then launch WoW through launcher.exe. Alt-tab back to your desktop and start your virus scan with Avira. This should do the trick if you have a virus.
Alternatively, you may just have a corrupted registry. Download and run CCleaner before you invest all that time into scanning for a virus. Be sure to use the registry cleaner option in CCleaner.

Use the
registry cleaner
portion of CCleaner. Cleaning temporary files isn't going to do much for you. If fixing registry errors and scanning for viruses
with WoW.exe open in safe mode without networking
doesn't work, then I'm at a loss as for how to get you fixed up.

My guess is that if you manually delete the file you're getting stuck on, you'll probably get stuck on another. Do you really NEED your documentation? If your computer has a model number, then you can certainly retrieve documentation from the manufacturer's website. I would next try deleting the offending file, and if your antivirus gets stuck again then I'd remove the entire \documentation folder and try again.

Thank you all! Registry fixed, running avg, then replacing with avira fixed the problem. Deleted the doc files- also helped. I now have firefox too. Hopefully I won't be bothering you for a while... thanks :)

I rarely get to play, Robaine. I'm most easily found logged into Arkayn on Wednesday nights at around midnight EST. I spend 30 minutes doing miscellaneous, then it's off to ICC for my one raid night. During the week, I log into a bank alt and play the AH for some gold, but I'm only on for a half hour or so. Next time I'm on I'll send you an in-game mail. Time to run your toon to the closest mailbox. = )
