If you're using grid+clique, you can have the boss targeted and attack him with your action bar while using grid to heal. I use VuhDo, which is a bit less powerful but much easier to configure, and basically has the functions of grid and clique in one addon (others do this as well, such as healbot). I have a macro to assist the tank and cast judgment of light (I edit the tanks name in the macro every time I do a new dungeon, although I could probably do a focus macro and it would work) that I have on my action bar, so I can easily switch from clicking boxes on VuhDo to hitting the boss or next trash mob with judgment.
Keep in mind that at lower levels, most mobs are safe to approach. Those fights were designed assuming you didn't have many AoE tools (shamans don't even get CH until 40). 40-55 you may have a bit of trouble, but at 55 and 56 you get Enlightened Judgments, which will let you judge from quite a ways away.

I was reading SoW from here

It seems that in order to gain mana I have to hit the targert for me to get mana right?
That's judgment of wisdom, which restores I think 88 mana at level 80.
Seal
of wisdom grants you 4% of your total mana back sometimes when striking with a melee attack. For reference, I'm in a couple 264 pieces and the rest mostly 251, and I get about 1500 mana back from that, fully raid buffed.
You do have to melee the target, or judge it, to benefit from seal of wisdom (since judgments count as a melee attack). But remember, if bosses don't have a close-range AoE, it doesn't matter if you stand close to them. If they have a cleave, you can still stand behind them. If they have a targeted or long range AoE, it's probably beneficial to stand close to them, and if it's just a pure tank and spank, it doesn't matter where you stand.
Also remember that instant casts do not reset the swing timer. So if you're cleansing, Holy Shocking, using hand spells, stunning a mob, etc., you're still swinging for mana.
Learn which bosses you can melee and which you can't and you'll never run out of mana.
Groups are also going to be a lot more receptive to mana breaks at lower levels than in heroics. It's understood that healers need to stop for mana sometimes.

Be glad you're level 10 and learning what Seal of Wisdom is. I had to explain it to a Paladin in my guild during our 25M Putricide attempts what it does. He's been using SoW since he joined us, and still didn't know.../sigh.

there are problems with low level instances. at level 10 you have 1 talent point, that is not enough to make you any different from any other pally regardless of what you want to do or where you put said point.
you would probably be better off questing to 30 or even 40, then trying LFD. you'd have more of the holy tree filled out which would make you a better healer.
I don't get why this matters. 1 talent point may not really separate him, but going for "of the eagle" or "of intellect" gear as opposed to "of the bear" or "of the tiger" gear will make a huge difference. At level 15, you could easily have a bunch of greens totalling to 35 str/35 stam or 50 intellect. One is obviously a better healer and one a DPSer or tank.
On that note, why does it matter if they're differentiated? What does that have to do with doing dungeons? RFC was designed to be done by level 12-16 players, meaning a level 15 paladin could easily queue up.
Taking your logic even further, I could say "You're better off waiting until Cataclysm to raid, because you'll be level 85 and therefore will have a better spec." When currently at level 80, people are tuned for the encounters.

that sounds nice in theory. how long ago was it that you ran a low level instance? it is basically 5 dps running around. no one really tanks, and no one really heals.
you are bad with logic and reading comprehension, i never said he couldnt que up or successfully complete the instance. what i said is if he wants to really heal an instance he should wait until he the talent points in holy to do it.
No, you're bad at writing. What you said basically was "You'd be a bad healer at level 10, wait until you're level 40 and you'd be a better healer. Don't do dungeons until you're level 40."
Then your post I quoted said "Low level instances are 5 DPS." Actually, while yes it's possible to do it without a tank, it is much easier with a tank. I don't see low level dungeons being possible without heals unless everyone knows what they're doing and they brought a lot of food, my friend and I run tank+healer combos, and even at lower levels it's useful.
A level 15 queuing as a healer is not a bad thing. I don't know why you think it is. I'd also prefer if you debated my points instead of attacking me personally. It makes your point look more intelligent.
