ok i am having probs keep from going oom. i use mana tide at 70% mana and then use a pot at 50%
First mistake: Pots should only really be used as a last resort, so think more like 25% or so. You're spot on with using Mana Tide early on though, you may want to do it sooner (around 80%) so that you have the opportunity of using it a second time when it comes back around off CD.
i also throw a flame shock
NO. Offensive spells should never be cast by you when you're healing in raids, even if you've got a break from spam healing. Use this time to conserve MP5 so that you have the opportunity to go off the "non-casting MP5" and recharge. The only time you should ever cast anything non-heal-like is either if you're assigned to Interrupts through Wind Shear or you're farming the place.
on the boss( as we use pally tanks) i mainly use ch, and riptide with the randon lhw/hw but i generaly wind up oom halfway through the fight any hints or help woud be greatly welcomed
Honestly, I don't see how you could possibly run out of mana unless you are in fact spam healing non-stop. Conserve and know how much you can heal for so that you're using the right tool for the job. You may want to run recount during some of the battles to see what your HPS:OH ratio is. You're not a Druid, so you should be keeping those numbers pretty balanced (think single-digit OHs).

I agree with what everyone said above. Another thing I'd like to add--if you don't already--is use some kind of Visual Heal addon. This will allow you to visually see on your target's health bar how much you are healing them for with a spell while you are currently casting it. That way, you know if you need to cast another heal or if that cast will be sufficient and be able to move on to heal another player. This will greatly help reduce overhealing, which tends to lead to mana wasting--if that could be an issue you're having.
Personally I use Pitbull4 (a unit frame mod) which has visual heal built-in. However, there are other addons out there that just focus showing the visual heal itself...such as namely
VisualHeal
.

Food and flasks focused on mp5. Keep up mana spring totem (if you don't have Blessing of Wisdom), drop mana tide early, don't shock anything. If you're overhealing numbers are off the charts, back it off a bit. If yo uare going oom and not overhealing, most likely your dps isn't doing enough to avoid damage (yes that's part of their responsibility).

It's more customizable, but that also comes with alot of learning and experimenting with the set up. It was too much trouble for me, reminded me of work. I find that Healbot does the trick. Just personal preference.

Part of your problem is you're using a lot of cloth that's meant for priest healers (you're also using a dps cloak). This becomes an issue in heavy-healing fights because most priest gear doesn't have much mp5 budgeted into it, as priests do not regenerate mana in the same fashion as shammies. You also have no set bonuses at all; the set bonuses do not directly make your mp5 better but along with using the correct armor (which will feature mp5), they also make your healing more powerful, thus saving you mana in the long run.
And as others have mentioned, spamming heals on targets that don't need it will run you dry pretty quick. Visual Healing ftw.

I cast Flame shock on bosses and i am fine, thank you sir for your concern. I guess you've never heard about
220 haste
bonus for casting flame shock every 40s or so.
I'm not concerned one bit, I'd just rather not waste my GCD and MP5 with a damaging ability that may or may not hit.
There is no difference when you cast your pot. You are in combat all the encounter anyway, so the cooldown wont start ticking all of a sudden.
You get only one pot per encounter, better to have it for a safety net to even be able to CAST Mana Tide than use it at the beginning and be SoL at the end.

I gemmed a few 5pm in my gear, and now I can go on for like 15 min straight casting and not go oom. I suggest having atleast 434 mp5 while casting, no more mana issues.
Again, YMMV. I'm perfectly fine with less than this (sit around 350 MP5) because of my healing style, and the only time I dip below 20% is either when we're at the very end of a fight or I was BR'd. It's up to you to determine where your comfort zone is in balancing Speed, Power, and Mana to be honest.
